[s] brabus: Apologies to the whole house. NextHome will never connive or collude with anyone to defraud any of our esteemed clients.
Some matters are private and such be treated as such. There's a client in one of my recent project whom I reported his brother who took N2m off the project money given to me through him. She said it was a bitter pill to swallow knowing that her own blood can do that to her but what can she do. She cannot kill her.
She then asked me to keep it between myself and herself. Now, this one is another experience. We learn every day.
But not a single kobo extra from the excesses do I have with me or agreed to share with her because it was never my intention. The contract sum is good enough for me and I see no reason asking for extras.
Sir brag3, my sincere apologies for everything but between me and you sir, we could have resolved things in a better way. Just that the issue was not well addressed.
The main reason for coming online to address this issue is not to claim right or put up defense lines but just so you may know that "Not all your siblings can be trusted." There are too many clients here on nairaland whose brothers have made vow to run to the ground. When we decide not to act their way, they come up with different allegations of complicity and all sorts of.
Thank you for believing in us.
To all unhappy clients,
Pls Brabus|NextHome is coming back stronger and better. We only needed to shed some weight and that's what the business has been doing in the past months. [/s] TRASH....A THIEF WILL ALWAYS REMAIN A THIEF. 6 Likes |

@ brabus, you dont have to keep learning through bad publicity. We are all nigerians and we understand perfectly. As a medical doctor in private practice, i come across something similar everyday. If a nursing home or all these traditional homes or even church maternity should refer a patient to the hospital, they will tell you point blank that they will collect a certain percentage. They collect as much as 50k on top caesarian section that the doctor did for 150k or less. The worst part is that these patients believe these people more than the hospital as at that time such that if you dont play along, they will move the patient elsewhere and when a hospital is growing, you need these referrrals. so in nigeria, if you dont do PR, you dont get contract. if you dont settle pastors running maternity homes, they dont bring their complicated labour cases to you. SO YOU KNEW FROM DAY ONE THE SISTER WANTED TO DEFRAUD THE SISTER. YOU COULD HAVE COLLECTED THE 19million naira and then settle the sister with like 100k for helping you to secure the business. the money should come from your profit and not by inflating the contract. THE FACT IS THAT YOU CONNIVED WITH THE SISTER TO INFLATE A CONTRACT BY AS much as 5 MILLION NAIRA FROM A PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL SWEATING TO MAKE A LIVING. THAT MY FRIEND IS WICKED. AND YOU HAVE SO MANY UNHAPPY CLIENTS. WHY NOW? 6 Likes |

brag3: This is my personal experience with Bosun Davies /NextHome Builders.
Background
Bosun Davies was introduced to my brother in UK by one of his friends who I believe is on this site and who has engaged Brabus in the past for some construction work. According to my Brother in UK Brabus came highly recommended due to his attention to detail and communication skills which were vital to our brothers and Sisters in Diaspora planning on building houses in our beloved country – Nigeria. My brother was going to source the majority of the funds for the project and myself and my Baby sister were going to manage the work being done here in Lagos. Early 2013 my brother came to Lagos to inspect some pieces of Land and Bosun was helpful in assisting him with going to inspect the lands and providing advice on whether to purchase them or not. When my brother went back to UK he was very happy with the way Bosun conducted himself and decided to engage his services for any future projects. In Feb 2014 we purchased a piece of Land in LASU and sometime in Sept/Oct 2014 Bosun Davies/Nexthhome were officially engaged on this project. At the onset it was made clear to Bosun that this was a family project involving myself, my brother and my sister and, that funds were going to be provided from one account for transparency and accounting purposes. Our Experience We engaged NextHome Builders to do the following: 3 shops Security Post 6 * 2 bedroom flats When we started this project in October 2014, Me, my brother and Sister had a conference call with Bosun Davies and explained what we wanted. Bosun was very quick in providing architectural drawings/designs for the project and we were very impressed. In fact his speed of work vindicated our decision to use Nexthome considering the not-so-good reviews we had read and heard about their services. We felt everyone deserves a second chance so why not NextHome. Nexthome provided a schedule of work along with materials and costing for the whole project. Again we were very impressed with this as this gave us an overview of the intended cost so we could budget accordingly. I work in Abuja so my younger sister was tasked with working closely with NextHome and providing feedback to myself and my younger brother in UK. My only dealings with Bosun at this time were via emails and phone calls. My younger brother in UK did not have much dealings with him as it was our task to manage things here. All funds requested by Bosun were paid on time and work progressed as expected. We were able to complete the 3 shops, security post, Foundation (German Floor) and blockwork for ground floor in by March of this year and again things seemed very OK. My brother came to Lagos at the end of May this year to inspect the work that was being done and bosun met him and showed him around the site. He was happy with the work done so far and Bosun then requested for some money upfront to begin preparation for the decking phase. He told him that it will be good to start procuring materials in readiness for decking phase. After consultation with myself we decided to advance Bosun with 1 million Naira on the 1st of June this year to prepare for the decking phase.
Where it started to go wrong
In the Middle of June this year I was in Lagos and decided to inspect the site myself to ascertain the progress made so far. On getting to the site I was very surprised that we had spent: 700000 on demolition of existing structure 1646000 – 3 Shops/Security 5,674,500.00 – Foundation /DPC 2,985,500.00 – Blockwork ground And there was no material left on the site to continue with the next phase. This really alarmed me. I also got my colleagues’ Engineer to inspect the site for me and was told that the work was not even completed. At this stage I decided to be more hands-on and take some time off work to manage things myself since my sister did not seem to be doing a good job at managing this. I took sometime off work and came back to lagos and met up with Bosun early July. We had a brief discussion and I made him aware I was going to be more hands-on going forward. I also told him that I was not happy with the fact that no materials were left-over having spent over 10M on this project so far. He then gave me some flimsy excuses which did not make sense but I was willing to cut my losses and move on. Afterall it was our fault for not being more hands-on. Next day I spoke to Bosun and told him that having looked at his schedule again I feel we are being over-charged for certain things and that he should try and discount some things for us. He then made it clear that he was not going to do that by even one naira and that if I liked I should even supply the other materials by myself. I then said thank you. That’s fine for me. Where do we go from here. He then agreed to do supervision of the work and some other bits and that we can supply the materials. I being a man of my word decided to go ahead and stupidly pay him another extra 707000 naira to cover the balance of some iron rods that were needed and to cover some additional cost for the iron benders and casters. This payment was made on the 16th of July this year To my utter surprise I first got a text from Bosun asking what the 707000 was for even though he knew what it was for and then he insisted that I send him an email saying what it was for. This I did immediately and to my amazement the next reply I got was that He was not going to do the job again for personal reasons. I was very surprised but not bothered so I told him to refund the money paid the day before for iron rod bends and casters and then make sure he gets my materials that had been paid for to my site. To recall 1M was paid to him on the 1st of June and another 707000 paid on the 16th of July (a Thursday). He promised to make my refund to me immediately and my brothers and sisters this became a war. Each time he came up with one excuse or the other ranging from I am not in Lagos, I don’t have my token on me to make the payment. He promised it will be done my Monday. This did not happen. Eventually on the 23rd of July 430K was refunded for the Casters and Iron rod benders leaving 1277000 for the iron rods. After this we entered the next stage of trying to get the iron rods for the decking. I had already got a new team of workers on site and work was progressing. I was onsite everyday and calling Bosun everyday but he continued giving excuses. This was paid for since June 1st and balance given on July 16th so why was it taking so long for this man/company to deliver my iron rods? At this time I was getting really angry. This has already caused a major fallout in my family. My brother in UK was getting so much pressure from my mum because he was the one that brought this guy onboard. What made it worse was that my brother in UK was still defending him. He seemed to be in contact with him regularly and he kept asking for Patience. I am completely different from him. I made this clear to Bosun that my brother may be quiet but I am from the streets and will take this to wherever he wants. I have been there, done it and I have the T-shirt to prove it. This guy was messing with the wrong guy. He was burning his bridges big time on this project. On the 28th of July, the rods were finally delivered and what was paid for was not what was delivered but I decided to let things go and continue with the project. Can you believe that the next day the iron rod supplier came back to my site asking for money. I said are you mad? What money? These materials have been fully paid. He said he had not been paid I made it clear that if he comes back here he will get arrested. How can he come to ask for money when over 1.2M had been paid for materials that were worth only 1M or so? This became a big mess and Bosun was nowhere to be found. He kept playing games and concocting all kinds of stories. I for one was not worried as I know how to deal with people like this. To my complete amazement I got a call that iron rod guy had come to the site with police and they were threatening to stop my work. I then instructed my sister to go to the police station with the police and speak to the person in charge and explain the whole thing. All this while Bosun was nowhere to be found. I would end this here now because it has taken another nasty turn. Bosun is now threatening to harm my sister. He has been telling my brother in UK that he and my sister planned to defraud us on this project. He even went as far as sending my brother a copy of the original schedule of work and the inflated copy that was submitted for the project. He told him that him (Bosun) and my sister were in on it from the start. He is trying to break my family up but he does not know where I come from or what I have seen. He who plays with fire should not store petrol in his house. I know so much about him but I don’t want to use hear-say here. All I want to do is let my fellow nairalanders know my own experience and to let Brabus/Bosun Davies/NextHome know that if anything happens to my sister or any member of my family he should be prepared to face his worst nightmare. He has met me before so he knows what I am capable of. I know his Pastor. I know his wife. I know people that are looking for him. I make no threats but I will defend my family to the last by any means necessary. Let he who hears, listens.
he will not succeed in sowing seed of discord in ya family. blood is thicker than scammers |

I am not a person with a thing for diplomacy so i'll cut to the chase right away. I’ve been an avid follower of Brabus/Nexthome projects on this forum. I like how he presents his work such that even the most naive at least get a scope of what he's trying to say. This is very important in building construction when most clients don’t understand the technicalities of building construction. I am currently building 2 blocks of 6*2 bedroom flat somewhere at Iyana Isashi around Okoko-maiko but I am not satisfied with the contractor handling the project, so I had put the project on hold hoping to employ the service of NextHome when I’m financially ready to restart the project, this time as a full contract. Although I’ve read about some of his scandals with other clients project, I still intend to give NextHome a second chance but unfortunately not anymore.
I have learnt 3 interesting things from NextHome as it applies to employment, contract or business relationship/partnership.
1. Never give a person/company with a criminal history a second chance. There’s a high probability that they’ll revert to their old ways given their criminal tendency. 2. If you want to succeed in whatever venture you choose in life, keep family members far away from your business. 3. Always get a lawyer involved in contract agreement including handling of payment receipts, and also don't hesitate to use the law or force when it becomes necessary.
Thank you Brabus/NextHome for showing your true face, I would have engaged a bigger thief than my current contractor.
Most importantly, I wish to ask why Seun and other MOD has allowed a fraudulent enterprise with a lot of criminal history like NextHome to continue advertising her projects on this forum? Is it that Seun or the MODs get some sort of royalty from this criminal activities or perhaps they are all involved in it? 4 Likes |

My brother just called me to end this so will do this for him now. All I will say is this. Naira landers you have been following this thread with your eyes. If I am wrong then so be it. My conclusion is this. Brabus and my Sister colluded to defraud us of over 5M (submitted contract - New contract). It's very simple here. Who said what or whatsapp screenshots or recorded messages should not detract for this. Bad Sibling? ofcourse yes. Bad Contractor? You decide @ brag3 i will suggest you stop replying this guy. he does not worth the time. believe me |

Damn! My imagination never failed me but it does now .As a matter of fact, I thought someone is trying to defend brabus against all allegations against him. Perhaps, he was able to impress a client.
Brabus, my dear brother but why?? I must confess I silently admire u along side my 'lexus guy' (it's cool sighting u cruising with ur babe at lekki last time. Keep up good work! ) u guys have eye for details I may need to inform you u are blessed with good worker's especially canpeter and bricklayers : Although, I can feel ur pain having being in the same field. ..client could be funny at times (apology )
For instance., almost everyone here knew that the first piling project I did is not profitable for me but rather gbese In the process. I used to collect money in advance from the client in question (fikanrako na ni )
But I kept assuring my client that I won't demand for a penny more than what we signed on.
However, to make matters worse, I stated it clearly that roofing noggins is not involved in the carcass (stated in the contract agreement. )But the client insisted I need to do it. Perhaps, due to my personal attitude towards money. ......I just let go. Today, the project has being completed despite all odds. I didn't sale my house or get loan to complete it.......it's profit from the consequences project (ayinmora won ni)
Bros, abeg take am easy. You can do better! I can relate to most thing said here , especially the part in bold. Hope brabus gets this resolved soonest as the best way contractors get jobs is by referrals. |

Wow, This is so amazing. What started off as s simple question has opened up a bad can of worms. I saw some of Brabus posts posted on the 4th of August with pics of a client and was impressed and decided to ask for others opinions on this professional outfit. I now use the term professional loosely as this outfit seems to be anything but professional. It’s also amazing that having followed this thread in its entirety it seems Brabus has stood steadfast in his beliefs that he is immune from any wrongdoing. You have openly admitted to submitting a schedule of work/materials that was grossly over-inflated. You have admitted that NextHome gave kick-backs to his sister. You produced a contract that was delivered last year totalling over 24M for a piece of work that was about 19M. You said the contract was given to the sister but you knew what the end-game was. You knew that this contract was going to be submitted for the work. This schedule/contract had your company’s letter-head and was the sole document the brothers had to work with. This again you knew was wrong but you carried along. When yawa gas now you produce a contract for 19M saying that this was the real document but you never produced this from day one. Any reason why. Were you sleeping with the Sister as well? Now through all this you make claims that she has fooled 3 grown men thereby painting yourself as a victim as well but how can you even stoop so low to claim this ground? Are we NL readers so dumb as to believe you are innocent? It’s a real shame Bro. This has shown your outfit in a very bad light. I too have siblings and like the rest of us here including you, we don’t have a choice over who are siblings are but one thing we can control is who we give our hard earned money to. We have the right to solicit for contractors to work on our projects and we hope that the contractors we employ will be our last line of defence against any fraudulent activity. We pay the contractors well for their services so why did you go down this route? The only question I have for Oga Brabus is this. If you were a prospective client following this thread will you give you hard-earned money to NextHome to do work for you? A simple yes or no will suffice here. Oga Brag3, so sorry to hear your story. You Sister is hard o. You need to be careful with her but like my fellow NL said above God will not let anything/anyone spoil our families in Jesus Name. Make sure you manage your things more astutely going forward. By the way I don’t mean to pry but how much has been paid to Brabus so far and what is the difference between that and what was supposed to have been paid? And to Oga Brabus, will you pay the difference of the money that you have taken from these brothers? @Befto, Thank you my brother. Much appreciated. Nothing to hide here. 220K was paid for architectural drawings of which Brabus told my brother the real figure was 100K so 120K overpaid. 1646000 was paid to construct 3 shops + Security Post. This contract was submitted directly to me. Brabus has not produced the real contract for this so not sure what the actual cost was. 5,674,500.00 was paid for DPC foundation of which the actual contract shows 4,914,500.00 making a difference of 760000 2,985,500.00 was paid for Ground floor Block of which the actual contract shows 2,546,500.00 making a difference of 439000 so the overpayments total 120000+760000+439000 = 1319000. So Brabus and my sister owe us 1319000. Who shall I invoice for this amount, lol? |

Bro but was there any materials left @ the site after he left your project? Has anyone sorted out the iron that was supplied , but u should have noticed something was going wrong somewhere , now your own blood is involve I try to see how to u can handle situation but honestly u just av to be grateful everything was exposed before more damages is involved, but who initiated the fraud of a thing? Is it Brabus or ur sister, even if ur sister did Brabus shouldn't av got himself involve at all but it seems your sister has seen something bad committed by Brabus before she got herself involve or probably he did, till today my own brother who told me to tell our sister abroad that we will tell her we want to but jacuzzi and we should just share the money , I thank God I had to open up to my sis after a lot of secrets abt his greediness started to open, one day breeze go blow fowl yansh go open, a lot of pple forgets abt dis....today he lost the trust my sister had in him but I was only blame for not saying things to when she was asking abt the site's condition, today some walls are peeling due to less cement in the mixture despite she spent 2times cost on a 4bed room flat, it's crazy.. We did the electrical work 3times and some other works twice . We should all enjoy what we do with the little given to us as a service payment 1 Like |

adeekiti: Bro but was there any materials left @ the site after he left your project? I work in Abuja and my Bro is abroad so my sister is the only person around that can manage it from family Side. Brabus was introduced to my brother abroad. he never knew my sister before this project so I don't know how they got together to concoct this. Only God can tell what makes human beings do certain things. No one wants to admit who initiated the Fraud. Sister is telling her own stories but she is in real trouble so wait and see. As for Brabus there is not much to say anymore. life goes on. Like you rightly said we thank God that we found out when only 1.3M has been chopped. They still had over 3.7M to chop so God has saved us from this 1 Like |

That is how this thing came to light. I went to site and saw nothing after spending so much money and thats when alarm bells started ringing. I think Brabus has sorted out the iron rod supplier as he has not been to the site again since the last time. |

I wish u never involve ur brother abroad in the first place, we only endanger them to fraud when they know the owner is abroad , the worst part of it, the ones we call our blood will never put a kobo on the project yet dey grow up greediness to defraud, i wish I can share some pictures of the building my brother handled for our sis , the worst part of it was, he did his own house without anyone of the family knowing anything abt it and he did it perfectly, now we realize he can do better at our sister's project but greediness tools over him despite the house was built for our mum o, u can imagine.. He had problem with the bricklayer that was when we got know all he did , dis people we talk abt we never even let go their 1naira to anyone , dey forget sey every step one takes there is always a shadow behind who will cast a spell to reveal everything we all did in secret.. I'm sure there is more secret to be unfolded soon too brag3:

A man's enemies are the people of his household......
This saga can pass for a Nollywood movie.
Can anyone give it a title? |
