So according to you, it was unprofessional but not wrong? so this is the way of life here.
I salute you for your insight.

Brag3.

I beg your pardon. I did not condone it. I only stated that it was unprofessional but is what is applicable in Nigeria. Of course it is wrong. My position is that in the nigerian environment it is not unexpected. I understand your frustration but just maybe if the temptation did not come from your sibling, it might have been a different story; that however a a big maybe.

Totally understand. Your post stated it was unprofessional, Did not see anywhere you said it was wrong so assumed it was right in your eyes. Apologise for that assumption. you are also making a big assumption that the temptation came from my sibling. Is it impossible to Fathom that the temptation came from Brabus and my sister went along for her own gain?
We will never know but we move on and learn.

Thanks

I understand.

My response is in response to this question. "Is it impossible to Fathom that the temptation came from Brabus and my sister went along for her own gain?'

After listening to ALL the surreptitious recordings (no hearsay, no other salacious evidences considered) then yes it is impossible for me to fathom that your Sister was baited into this unfortunate scheme. I believe that she orchestrated the con and Brabus went along since this is customary in Nigeria (not saying I support it or it's right for Gods sakes). What business man will willingly offer N5m away?

I could be totally wrong but I'm still qualified to serve as a jury of your peers and my opinion is valid in a court of law.

Yep, you are fully qualified to make this assumption. It's a forum and free for all so your opinion is as valid as any other person's.
We would never know the truth.
I know what I know so it's best we let everyone else have their own opinions.
At the end of the day its left for us to learn from this.
What has happened is in the past. My eyes are in the front on my head so I always look forward.

Again, thanks for your insight into this matter.

And one point everyone keep forgetting is that, it still the Brother's money being stolen not Brabus money. Brabus did not lose anything monetarily but his integrity. The Big brother in UK is the total LOOSER (Victim) in all this... he has been conned, scammed and defrauded. BAD BUSINESS OVERALL from both angle.

I absolutely concur but the N5m extra was paid to Brabus. He could have sat on this.

I totally feel for the UK Brother, I was drawn to him when I heard his voice on the recording. He just sounded totally flabbergasted and deflated with what he was hearing and couldn't even bring himself to address the Sister who kept on saying she'll call him after the call.

That was a moment of learning for me as I placed myself in his position. It solidified my resolve that I will be on the ground for every nail in a wood, every sand shoveled on my build. N5m is N5m to me and I don't care who has it there will be WAR. I think this is why Brabus has been getting away with some of this stuff, no one has really taken him to court. I hope he can reorganize and lead his company better to avoid that. Wasn't the money wired from UK to Nigeria on a fraudulent basis? Is that something that could have forceable been reported to UK law enforcement units?

Yeah the UK Bro is a unique individual.

1) Did Brabus send the quote to your Brother in UK? The false flag N24m quote.

2) Did part, doesn't have to be all, of the payment for that fraudulent quote come from the UK?

3) Could your Brother alert UK authorities that he sent money to Brabus based on fraudulent claim?

4) Could UK authorities then list NextHome (sp) as a scam organization? Or worse open a BOLO for Brabus himself as the owner if he ever enters UK or steps foot on UK embassy grounds?

Not saying that this should or could happen, I know your family has moved on, but I am just thinking out loud.

I know that your eyes are in front and everything but this thread is serving as a lesson to ALL of us participants on NL property section. Your family lost some money but it could have easily been any of us here, especially in diaspora.

This is getting outta hand and I think we should just let resolve the issue and move on without throwing words at each other, its just like a thief who snatched a bag and was caught in the process and he said he stole because someone robbed him too, because the sister initiated the fraud doesn't mean u should be involve in it, we should all try to read and understand brag3's post, he was duped too cos he has his own money in the project, what I'm still surprise about is Brabus not going to appeal and appologize, is he not feeling guilty about all the accusations, even if u are at not guilty just accept and appeal to end dis commotions here . Brabus do the needful I'm sure that will go a long way to solve issues here than allowing people to throw words at each other

1) Did Brabus send the quote to your Brother in UK? The false flag N24m quote. - Quote was sent to my brother and I (via my sister) so however you choose to intepret this will be interesting however the original quote was then sent to my brother a few weeks ago when shyte hit the fan

2) Did part, doesn't have to be all, of the payment for that fraudulent quote come from the UK? Yes, a fair amount came from UK

3) Could your Brother alert UK authorities that he sent money to Brabus based on fraudulent claim? My brother you and I know this can't really happen. it's not as simple as this. Money gets transfered into his own account in Nigeria and from this account payment was then made to Brabus. it was agreed one account will be used for this project for transparency and accounting purposes.

4) Could UK authorities then list NextHome (sp) as a scam organization? Or worse open a BOLO for Brabus himself as the owner if he ever enters UK or steps foot on UK embassy grounds? I doubt it.

Just to make things clear. 5M was not lost ooo. This was the amount that willl have been lost had Brabus complete the project.

The amount lost based on the stages completed came to about 1.3M so we thank God.

1) I don't interpret I just respond based on evidence. So the quote never came from Brabus to your UK Brother directly.

2) This is good evidence.

3) It can't happen but ONLY because UK funds did not go to Brabus directly but via a Nigerian bank.

4) Excellent. It can't happen anyways now that I know that there is no direct trail from UK to Brabus account.

N1.3m was actually not technically lost since your Sister, a co stakeholder, has it. But the amount is duly noted nevertheless.

Thank you. Burt it was definitely lost and while we are on the subject.
You seem to assume that Brabus has made the payment to my sister.

She has claimed that Brabus has not made the payment to her.
Whichever way you lookt at it 1.3M was lost - Fact. No technicalities here but Like I said its only money.

@brag3,

You seem to assume that Brabus collude with your sister to rip you off. Do you need some proofs? Instant one.

I'm sure you know you never asked me to pay any sum of money to her account during the phase of construction.

@Brabus,
You did collude with her. Thats a fact. The question is who instigated the collusion but the fact is that from your own admittance you did collude wit her. and if you are now trying to show me proof of this collusion then you are still admitting it so don't see the point here.

Yes, I never asked you to pay any money to her account so if u did so it could be:

a) you did some business with her and you are paying for it (which I have heard)
or
b) this is the kickback payment

so what exactly are you trying to prove here?

That's the reason she went the other way because she knew I'm not going to give in to the cement supply arrangement. The 19m contract is good enough for me. That's when she presented you the 24m quote.

If I may ask, what's the reason why she didn't supply all the cement again? She lost interest? Got busy? Or it's not profitable?

So, please you have proven your case here and everyone can see where the problem lies, and just abide by your brother's decision and move on.
