Yes I had that sane issue. I guess it was cos i wasted time before inputting thr grades. I had redo it and be fast about it. By the way make sure you choose to input "scores" asin "60", and not grades asin "B". You'll see the score once you click "Calculate CGPA" and you'll also get it in the mail hayqinsbFX: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by hayqinsbFX: 6:44pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
I didn't see anything o. It only redirected me to a page where dey said dey will send it to my email. Mehn I had to waste time because it was about 70courses. Besides scores as in? Send me the link of what u uses. I was inputting A, B and so on. How willl I knw d exact score from the transcript TheBae: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 6:48pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
https://www.wes.org/calculator/igpa.asp When you input degree name, institution name and country, choose "numeric scale" (1-100) as appropriate grading scale and not "letter scale" (A-F). So while inputting your courses, you'll use the score of each course not the grade. hayqinsbFX: 2 Likes |

You're welcome. Yes I understand you because the course by course evaluation costs quite a lot. It definitely makes your result and cgpa look more attractive. Lol. You didn't even know you had a Canadian first class. Congrats! lakusi: 1 Like |

handyteddy: Yes Germany has no PGD. They have direct masters and they assign you supervisor unlike Canada where you must secure your own supervisor. Information is powerful. check here for any program of your choice click this site and type in your program of interest |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 8:04pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
Mine doesn't I guess because grades differ from school to school. That's why there's an option for numeric grades. pascal2young: |

berexio1: Hello Berexio1, I got admitted for fall 2015 since June but I envisaged there would be high volume of applications and didn't wana rush so I just decided to pick Winter 2016 since I have multiple start dates (Sept 2015, Jan 2016 n May 2016). vinci500: Hello Vinci500, Lol my admission took roughly 3months from the deadline (March 31st) although I had applied since January 2015. My proposed program is M.Eng (Electronic Systems Engineering). Take care 1 Like |

Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Inkblood: 9:17pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
TheBae: the problem is that nigerian transcripts show grades A,B,C etc instead of scores. 70, 60, etc. are you saying that when filling the wes IGPA we should fill in the equivalent from the head? A=75 B = 70 C = 60 D = 50 E= 40 F= 39 is that what you are saying? i am pretty sure i am wrong sha. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by Inkblood: 9:27pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
for people who have submitted transcripts to the embassy, pls, how did you submit it? transcripts are not given to students by hand anymore, but i was able to get mine. the cover letter is addressed to SIAST institute. didn't think i could take it to embassy like that so i have detached the cover letter. is that the right thing to do pls? |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by TheBae: 9:39pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
Some uni transcripts come with your exact scores though. Mine shows the scores for each course I took. The thing is, in some schools in Nigeria, 70 is A, 60 is B etc. So I'm not sure how that's going to play out if you don't use exact figures. Your school's grading system will either work in your favour or otherwise Inkblood: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 8 by thesoj: 9:42pm On Aug 14, 2015 |
It appears that the Canadian grading scale is not always consistent across universities. For instance, UManitoba and UWinnipeg both use a 4.5 scale while UToronto and UCalgary use a 4.0 scale. I have never schooled in Canada, but I know that in the US most schools use a 4.0 scale. It also seems they (Canadian schools, e.g. UBC) use percentages a lot, even to represent the final grade on the transcript... I'm not an expert in this area sha. TheBae: |
