Who is this man?

You don't even know what you are saying. Not even UK is thinking of buying f22 rite now. They are only selling f35.

Do we have to teach u guys everything.

Nigeria has a brighter future than South Africa and that scares you. That is why you have to blind everybody with lies and incomplete project.

Bently don't need to advertise there cars before people know it worth. We know ourself and our capability. You are not better than us.

Egyptians and Algerians are not here and we still tell you they are better to tell you how sincere we are but you still want to claim you are the best in Africa.

Keep deceiving yourself and keep stealing other people's glory.

Stop claiming what you are not in other to make people feel you are important. A Bently is different from Toyota no matter the advert.

Brighter future indeed. Have now become a sooth sayer to predict the future ahead of us. Please, tell me when am I going to become a billionaire?

Apart from their Gripen Jets, it's hard to see what is modern about the SANDF!

Pathetic hopeless grand pa military.

4.5 gen fighter jets, 4th gen frigates, advanced submarines are all modern. Now badgers, A-darter and marlins will all add as a cherry on top of a cake.

Pls can someone from South Africa tell us who has the best military in Africa? Let's know if you have learnt well from our free lectures.

Up to 150 people gave up their ghosts at the hands of a monster BH in Nigeria. BH is said to have killed over 1000 people since Buhari assumed presidency.

My dear if you wanna be honest with yourself go look at other african countries and you will soon realize that Ethiopia, Uganda, Sudan and Angola even has a better equipped airforce then Nigeria with actual fighter jets not 3 F-7's from 1970's. Go checkout how outdated your country really are.

Now research and come back and be for once a honest Nigerian lady

Look who's talking the masters of hand me down second hand relics.

Everything in Nigeria is old from air defenses to there WWII taped up AK47's.

If its not you its @Augubugu claiming that a 50 year old ships with expired 36 year old missiles is the best in Africa, now we have another Igbo called @Ibiwa whatever who is living in the same fantasy world.

Hopeless NA who can't even defeat 12 year old militants on horse back and needs its poor neighbors to help them in there own Small Little Over Crowded Shiiithole

Pick up a book!

Age of the Hull doesn't constitute the effectiveness of a system. Both Frigate class ships ( NNS Thunder and Okpobana) has shown capabilities other African Navies can only dream of.

Dummy, you get dumber and dumber with each sentence, "banana clips" tapped together is a wide practice, it gives the soldier that feeling of carrying a drum mag under his AKM.

Not as much as getting whooped by hoe and shovel wielding farmers in the CAR.

1. If the SANDF need it they will get it for free, for example if a war breaks out.
2. The Marlin is going to be test fired next month, doesn't sound to me like its still on paper.

No, you cannot!

The Marlin is a paper missile, neither would it be ready in the next 10 - 15 years.

Anyway, you have a more pressing, Gripen Pilot shortage issue to deal with.

How then do you explain the use of "Juliet Troop" of G6 howitzers at the Battle of Quito?

At the time it was not in SADF service
At the time it was not in SADF inventories
At the time the SADF had not paid a single cent for it

Yet, Denel provided an entire troop (6 guns) for the battle.

If Denel makes it, if Denel has it in its inventories, then the SANDF has access to it and can deploy it if needed.

This the benefit having a state owned Defence Industry

And no, since they are firing one in September the Marlin is not "just on paper".

According to IHS Janes Defence, the SAAF cannot afford the mokopa missile because you are broke!

Go argue with Janes, not me.

Counter-point:

- Your Frigate (SINGULAR) is OBSOLETE and NON-OPERATIONAL

- Your tanks are not modern either

- You have ZERO 4th gen patforms. You also have no BVR

- You have ZERO subs

- Sh1t? What, compared to your handfull of literally OBSOLETE launchers with EXPIRED missiles and some OBSOLETE MANPADS? Your ZERO mobile radar systems? Your ZERO air-space management systems?

- Your infantry are terribly and equipped and have terrible training (most only issued a sh1tty Ak47 and 30 rounds of ammunition)

- You lack fighters in general, your F-7's crash daily and most are not operational, same applies to your Alpha jets

- You only have 3 C-130's that are airworthy in TOTAL

- You have obsolete cold-war relics that arent even dedicated attack helicopters

- Your Cutters are 60 years old, your other two latest platforms are 40 and 50 years old

- You build and export nothing of value.

- NNS Aradu is currently undergoing a Refit, she remains Sub saharan Africa's best equipped ship. In some Navies, the Aradu is considered as a Destroyer. On the other hand, we have all seen the technical details which prove beyond all doubt, South-African Navy frigates are obsolete and cannot be classified as modern.

- outside Ugandan T-90 Tanks, Nigerian T-72AV and T-72B Tanks are the most modern tanks in Sub-Saharan Africa.

- you(South-Africa) has 4GEN fighters, however, what's the use of 4 GEN fighters, when none (Zero) of South-African pilots are combat qualified?

You still also do not have BVR missiles, so one wonders why South-Africa has Gripens in the first place.

Nigeria flies 3.5 GEN Jets, with state of the art PL-9C missiles which out-range what you have in service.

- We have ASW Helicopters, "why would i need subs, when i'm a defensive force?". Our military is tailored to meet Nigerian current and future threats.

- Nigerian Air Defence system is more capable than anything South-Africa currently fields.

- Nigerian Infantry are the most equipped, best trained, operationally effective force in sub-saharan Africa. Over 30+ combat deployments since 1960 is no fluke.

Each Soldier carries, An AKM with 5 Mags, each squad has an LMG and an MGL.

- the SAAF fighter fleet is a MUSEUM fleet! You have zero pilots, zero fuel, zero technical expertise to maintain Jets you ordered for since 1999. The SAAF is akin to Comedy Central, with SAAF Gripen, C-130, Half-French, A109 fleets the source of all rib cracking jokes.

The South-African Air Force is a joke!

- Nigeria has 5 C-130s, 5 G-222, and 2 Boeing 737s. 10 Transport planes.

The SAAF depends on 3 C-130s for a over 1.2KM area.

- we have over 60 attack/armed CAS Helicopters. with the T-129 coming to join the fleet, if not already here.

- Fool, age of hull doesn't equal age of systems. The thunder and okpobana out-class anything in it's class in Africa. Fact!

- Nigeria has a defence industry that supports Nigerian needs. This is it's primary and only responsibility.

"We don't claim to be a major arms exporter, only to be rated in last place when assessments are done".

The country with the best military in Africa is Egypt, Algeria comes in at second, then Nigeria in 3rd place.

South-African systems are generally obsolete and are poorly manned.

Frigates = Obsolete( Technical details have been provided) and poorly manned.

Gripens = Chronic pilot shortage and lacking BVR capabilities

Tanks = World war 2 relics

IPVs/ MPVs = virtually non-existent

Subs = Poorly manned/ obsolete

Artillery = so few in numbers

Infantry = the oldest in the world/ poorly trained ( CAR perfect example)

Mokopa missiles = Broke and cannot afford it.

APCs = for a country that makes them, they have so few in service. Their troops, Special forces in the CAR lacked basic APCs.

Verdict : the South-African military is generally an ineffective poorly trained and inexperienced force.

Leave NNS Arandu to rest in peace for he is no longer a young man.

F7 jets are not 3.5 generation fighter aircrafts. They are simply uncategorized low cost fighters meant for poor countries. Your PL9c AAM will not help you with your poor flying caskets.

Who said SAAF gripen pilots are not combat qualified? Give us a proof?

All everything else you wrote about is just garbage.
