Yes i believe you are right about the Dortmund rotations. That was the case even before Reus came around. But they had the guys to make it work.
In my opinion Mata is a liability anywhere else apart from in the hole. He is a defensive liability on the flanks and most glaringly of all he is not able to exploit 1v1 situations on the flank. When he comes infield he is a different animal.

I dont know how poorly Lingaard has been in training but i would like to see Lingaard and Depay flank Mata in 1 or 2 matches.
