Premium Times News President Buhari betrayed me; only a media protest can save us---Rotimi Amaechi Following the recent appointments by President Buhari, the former governor of Rivers State Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi was in Port-Harcourt on Saturday for a crucial meeting with the Rivers APC caucus, to chart a way forward for the members of the party. Mr. Amaechi, while lamenting said " I called you here, to brief you on the happenings in the party. Dakuku can confirm some of the things I will share with you. First, I thank you all for your support especially at this trying times. You all know the level of financial support and invaluable time I put, in ensuring that President Buhari wins both the party primary and the presidential election. All that was done because of what the President promised me. The President promised me the position of the secretary to government of the federation (SGF) in the presence of his wife, the day they came to ask for my support, in preparation to the party primaries. And based on the president's promise, I withdrew my support for Kwankwaso. And today Kwankwaso sees me as his enemy. Dakuku can confirm that. I don't know what I did to Tinubu. I have begged him both in private and before other party members. Yet, he has decided to hunt me down. What you see playing out today in our party, is not regional politics, but politics of the different parties and groups that make up the APC. Tinubu is seriously accusing me of being behind what played out in the National Assembly. The dummy he sold to the President, was that the PDP group in the APC have taken the Senate President and Speaker House of Representatives. And the President has bought Tinubu's dummy, and he is angry with the PDP group in the APC. The President believes, that I have polarised the APC along party lines, and therefore he ( Buhari ) will also make his appointments along his party the CPC. Now, the only option we have is to recruit the media, to paint the President in bad light, as regards his lopsided appointments. We believe when we hit him from different angles he will balance his appointments. We have already involved Arewa youths and some other groups and individuals. Some will be on TV to highlight this injustice meted against us by President Buhari. I feel deeply betrayed by the President's action. I'm still learning people. " 2 Likes |

NLNG to Build Ship Repair Yard in Badagry The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Limited has concluded arrangement to float a new Ship Repair facility in Badagry area of Lagos State. The facility, the company said, is being established to bridge the gap created by the absence of an operational dockyard to cater for the repair and maintenance of Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC), LNG carriers, large and medium size carriers, drilling rigs and support vessels. The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Babs Omotowa who disclosed this in Lagos at the official launching of Facts and Figures on NLNG 2015, said the choice of Badagry was made following a feasibility study that was carried out at Onne, Bonny, Olokola, Badagry, Ogogoro Island and Ladol among others. “Currently, a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) that will manage the development of Badagry Ship Repair and Marine Engineering Limited (BSME) is being put together,” he said. The managing director disclosed that the train seven project of the NLNG which has suffered delay is still awaiting Final Investment Decision (FID). “NLNG’s 8.4 million tonne per annum (mtpa) Train 7 project, which will raise the liquefaction capacity to 30.4mtpa, is now awaiting FID. SPAs (Supply and Purchasing Agreement) have already been made with five buyers,” he said. Omotowa however assured that the NLNG which currently delivers about seven per cent of the global LNG supply would continue to consolidate its position as one of the largest producers and exporters of LNG in the world. NLNG, according to the Fact and Figures, has converted about 133 billion standard cubic meters (Bcm) or 4.68 trillion cubic feet of associated gas to exports as LNG and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs), thus helping to reduce gas flaring in the country. The figures also show that the company’s payment to joint ventures feed gas suppliers from inception till date is almost $21 billion of which 55-60 per cent of this amount had gone to the federal government via its shareholding in Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). “NLNG has over the years paid dividends of almost $30 billion, out which 49 per cent went to the federal government,” the document stated. http://transactreports.net/i/nlng-to-build-ship-repair-yard-in-badagry 1 Like |

CSTR2: Raw materials? Do you even know what a dry dock is? I doubt. FYI Dry docks don't need your useless oil. Its just a workshop for construction and repair of vessels and ships. Obviously Lagos/badagary has more ships berthing on its shores more than the whole ND combined. Another advantage is its close proximity to other african countries who can bring their ships and vessels there for repairs. Talk of feasibility studies. So next time your Jobless Illiterate ADVICE: Tell your brothers to clear the water ways of pirates and make the place secure first before calling for investments.
