Oga, we need to talk about this Oando claims. Have you read this link about Oando. It's all gloom according to the link unless something miraculous happens.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/oando-energy-resources-announces-second-110000356.html?soc_src=mail&soc_trk=ma

Choi!!! Oando is for extreme JIJO o. The more you look the less you see. So much volatility hence profit/loss too. We need an "Oando expert" to break down that result. But I want you to understand that Oando has about the most complex company structure ever known on the NSE. Loss in OER doesn't NECESSARILY translate to loss in Oando. Oando provides funds at an interest for the capex of OER. OER is the upstream subsidiary of Oando that just acquired COP assets. It's listed on the Toronto stock exchange but Oando raised virtually all the capital involved (OER could as well have been the vehicle used).

Did you notice net loss position at H1'14? Oando declared substantial profit and even paid interim at H1'14. The net loss position has improved from c. -177m USD to c. -50m USD even with improved revenues. I am inclined to think, Oando will fair better based on this.

Like I mentioned earlier, this is my very own own very personal personal personally basis for taking the Oando risk grin . My TT analysis as some would call it. All I am interested in, is making money from trading this stock.
I suggest you look at the banking sector instead. It's a safer bet for you. In fact, there are so many stocks out there that will give you appreciable profits from trading them before the year runs out. Most stocks recovered some lost grounds lately. Virtually everyone registered significant profits. cheesy

Sir Peterichy, stock market is not sweet if history is not referenced grin! Some would be busy referencing history while others would be busy cherry picking and making money. Anyway, life goes on for both of them!
