raayah:have always told you to personalize your assertions, same way you said deeper life breeds like rat, when in essence it ought to be a personal statement, now you used the word "we", there ain't no we after death, it's you and your ass alone, OK you do masturbate, so? Who gives a two hot fudge about that? I told you that day, you just one of d numerous back sliders who can't cope with the truth the church preaches and ends up painting the church black, what most people don't realize is that there is a clear distinction betwixt morals and religious laws, @topic this thread is useless, I mean what's the point? Y"al keep pointing accusing fingers at each other, this stuff is wrong, that stuff ain't right, this is a sin, that one ain't, hence you are hell bound....... Getting mortal justifications for some actions are nauseating, once you go through an act and your conscience ain't pricking you, then ion see the need for asking another man if it's wrong or right, either you masturbate or not, a sin or not, should be from your personal conviction and not what others says, between all the Bible frowned at is lust, which begets all other forms of sexual immorality, once you can control your mind from straying, then ion see the need for masturbation, and if you can't, go ahead and masturbate, or go f**k a hoe when you are out of time, you'd know if your decision was perfect or not. |

uzolexis:The bible never mentions whether or not masturbation is a sin. However, we can infer from the gospel of Matthew 5:27-30. Where Jesus speaks against having lustful thoughts and then says, “If your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away.” While there are parallels between this passage and masturbation, it is unlikely that masturbation was what Jesus was alluding to. While the Bible nowhere explicitly states that masturbation is a sin, there is no question as to whether the actions that lead to masturbation are sinful. Masturbation is nearly always the result of lustful thoughts, sexual stimulation, and/or pornographic images. It is almost impossible to masturbate without having lustful thoughts or pornographic images picked out of your subconscious mind. It is these problems that need to be dealt with. If the sins of lust, immoral thoughts, and pornography are forsaken and overcome, masturbation will become a non-issue. Many people struggle with guilty feelings concerning masturbation, when in reality, the things that led to the act are far more worthy of repentance. There are some biblical principles that can be applied to the issue of masturbation. Ephesians 5:3 declares, “Among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity.” It is hard to see how masturbating can pass that particular test. 1 Like 1 Share |

Tjayjosh: having sexual thoughts about ur spouse is totally okay. If you don't have sexual thoughts about your spouse who should you have it about and if you n ur spouse r fine with the masturbating thing it's no problem , it is within the confines of marriage. It is also your body and you should satisfy ur sexual urges cos it's perfectly healthy.... i know you'll say stuff like your body is the temple of the holy spirit but that does not stop you from having sex with your spouse so i see no difference here. |

For those claiming masturbation is a sin please readup and I hope you get a thing or two. ALL couples masturbate. I would like to depict illustrations. Firstly let us get the defination correct. So if a young man/woman strokes himself or herself even if not to the point of orgasm it is still masturbation. Illustration 1 Man and wife getting ready to do the do. Man strokes himself to attain rigidity, woman sensitizes herself so her body can produce necessary vagina lubrication to avoid abbrassion. If that is not masturbation I wonder what is. Every couple masturbate at the moment of intercourse. Sometimes done by oneself or one's partner. So in case you say they are in the sex session let's continue Illustration 2 While in the intimacy session baby cries and spoils the mood during the time it takes hubby to soothe it back to sleep or silence. In case the man's penis has deflated he strokes back to erection at the end of end of the bed before he climbs back to enter his wife. Still ok but what if he was stroking 2 feet from the bed, 1 metre from the bed, next room, next town. If one was ok by you and the other locations were not it is distance/location you are now using as a yardstick to measure masturbation sin which was not listed so in the bible. As far as scripture is concerned sex is sex irrespective of the acts performed. Also christ admits sex is sex either imagined or physically acted out. Masturbation is a sexual act and if the bible has wanted us to not touch our members it would have explicitly said so. We all know it stating sex outside the area of marriage is outlawed as well as same sex unions. Within the concept of marriage sex is permitted including all activities okayed by both parties involved as each has a legal avenue of exibiting his/her lust desires under a God ordained covering. Do not place an unnecessary self edifying unscriptured burden on the certified holy matrimonied. It is like saying eat don't swallow This however is for those who rely on christure scripture for guidance (our atheist brethren do remember this is the religion section) 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Is Self Servicing A "SIN" For A Couple Whose Partner Is Hardly Around? by Tjayjosh(m): 11:33am On Sep 06, 2015 |
uzolexis:The question is essentially this: if a husband and wife are separated for a long period of time, and have each other’s permission to do it, and can do it without pornography or lustful/ immoral thoughts, would that mean it is not a sin to masturbate? The most common situation in which this question arises is that of spouses separated due to service in the military or sent on official assignment. It is true that, if a person is used to having sex and a significant amount of time passes without sex, sexual tension increases. This physiological sexual tension can make it more difficult to resist sexual temptation, whether in the form of adultery or pornography. Masturbation can relieve this tension. So, what about this situation? Would this be an instance when it is not a sin to masturbate? The best answer to this is “perhaps.” Having your spouse’s permission would turn 1 Corinthians 7:4 into a non-issue. There being absolutely no pornography/lust or immoral thoughts/desires would remove the clearly sinful aspects that are almost always linked with masturbation. But, with this situation, a very important question is being overlooked. What is the alternative? What would happen if a person in this situation did not masturbate? To say that he/she would be incapable of resisting temptation is to neglect the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit ( 1 John 4:4) . The Bible instructs us to flee sexual temptation ( 1 Corinthians 6:18, 10:13; 2 Timothy 2:22). The Bible does not tell us to find ways to make the temptation less powerful. So, while it might not be a sin for a person in the above situation to masturbate, the Bible tells us to make decisions with more certainty than “might,” “maybe,” or “perhaps.” Romans 14:23 says, “Everything that does not come from faith is sin.” Romans 14:5 indicates that we are to be “fully convinced” before we do, or do not do, something. The fact that “is it still a sin?” is even being asked is proof of a lack of assurance and evidence of not being fully convinced. Asking a question like “Is ______ not a sin IF…?” is dangerous at its core. While “if something is a sin, it is always a sin” is not universally true, it is much more biblical than trying to find situations in which a sin is no longer sinful. |
