The verification became necessary wen there was disagreement btw d government n d NLC over d total number of civil servants in d state, d government claims it spends close to 3.6billion on salaries n pensions, so it was jointly agreed dat d government should do a verification exercise which is even been conducted by d civil service commission, d situation in [s]Osun is not as worse as been portrayed in d media[/s] n from d list of states collecting bailout u can see dat it's not peculiar to Osun alone, just recently OYO was even saying it needs more money despite d bailout.

Shut the Bleep up ! I live in Osun and my parent is a civil servant ! Infact if you are saying this to me physically I would stone you and your paymaster (Are-oni-gbese) with freezed sachet water. Civil servants have not been collecting their pay since last year Nov and you dare type those messy stuffs here ..... Be warned and stop playing with people's pain !

Has your saint corrupt Buhari probed(not media probes) any politician ?
If so name one or remain silent forever.

Trash. Go and get yourself informed about Osun State. So, Osun State Government didn't buy patrol vehicles for police? You never heard SAS and ROBOT launched simultaneously in Osun State?
You never heard about Osun State Government partnering with banks to empower drivers with new vehicles for their commercial activities?
If you could refer to that payment of stipend as wastefulness, that means you don't understand anything about governance.
You call 2.4 billion stipend, no wonder your state is neck deep in debt.
That is 6. 86% of the bail out money.

If the state has spent money purchasing vehicles and equipment for the police like you claimed then why spend such ridiculous amount paying vigilante.
I see a common trend in most clueless states that are in heavy debt. If I can recall such a similar trend is being practised in Imo.

Most other states where you find such it is on a private sector basis.

This is pure lie
Presently the CRR on public fund is 75%
This means that if Aregbeshola fixed N100 with any commercial bank, the bank will keep N75 with CBN at zero interest and only retains N25
But the bank will have to give Aregbesola interest on the entire N100
So any bank that keep state fund as fixed deposit will surely make a loss
Now get it clearly, bank can keep the fund as normal deposit at very low or no interest
But not as fixed deposit

If this story is true, this is sickening. Churches and charity groups who are within and outside the state had fed thousands of people who are in dire need of food - people whose parents are civil servants. If there's an audit on workers in the state, then mobilise and conclude it as due and pay these civil servants their salaries.

If this is true, to 'fix' their entitlements to make profit is evil.

Why didn't they do this verification all these while? Does the government not have a register for people on it's payroll, these shows the lack of capacity by the governor, this is a second term governor for God's sake.

Let it to the sky and cry aloud, the vulture will hear you better than the deaf hawk. don't be so insensitive to the plight of the poor osun civil servants who may not have any alternative of life savings. it is the worst state presently in the country. I know how you feel guy, I am from Osun state too. It is annoying dat some paid fools are here trying to defend their pay master. Useless verification dat they didn't embark on in january, february, march even april it is now that they find a need for it. A dunce even wrote something here dat things are not as bad as the media tries to make it look. Seriously? People are owed more than 7 months salaries and pensioners 9 months pension and dat is not bad. But I can't blame them since they don't reside in Osun.

You people are just typing rubbish about osun state based on how PDP has made the issue in osun bigger than what it really is. I can say OGBENI is only suffering all this because he is just a staunch supporter of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. He has his own fault but the situation is not as bad as the press and PDP makes it.
