Hello all,I'm posting for the first time on this forum,but I've been a silent reader all the while,I can finally come out of hiding.My story long oo, ,I had a baby at 7mnths in may due to premature labor but lost the baby,by God's grace I 'm pregnant again.Pls I have been experiencing lots of discharge and itching,I went to a gyny who prescribed flucomol-50 oral tablets,gynaemed to be inserted and ketacon cream ,please are these drugs safe in preg,I'm 9 weeks pregnant?Has anyone faced this challenge before?pls help answer my questions.

Please I have noooo appetite, I can go a whole day without eating. It started with me hating most food (mind you I didn't experience MS), just natural hatred (food aversion). All my best food are now worst and I don't want to hear the names, my Doc suggest it's psychological, that I have to learn liking them one at a time again..

To your question, Drs usually frown at using drugs in your first trimester. Ask your Dr if it is a yeast infection. If it is, all these drugs you will be using is just temporary o. Cos it reoccurs a lot. Just go the natural remedy way till at least your 2nd trimester. But if it isnt yeast....then I dont know what to say again o.

Who told you you have malaria and typhoid, did you do a confirmatory test?
If your answer is yes, then your Dr is in the best position to prescribe a drug to you.
If no, then do so and be sure that it isnt a symptom of your package.

Only your Dr should prescribe drugs to you. In my first trimester, I had cough and I foolishly used septrim cos the cough was unbearable and I was not ready to register ANC yet. Later in the day, I read that septrim blocks the action of folic acid including that going to the foetus so I had to triple my dose of folic acid in order to make up the lost ones.

150mg of fluconazole(flucomol) is said to be safe in early pregnancy. Doses above this have been shown to increase chances of birth defects. I normally advise against oral antifungal in first trimester. Left to me, the gynaemed pessary for insertion is the best choice. Cheers

First of all, welcome mama. Have a healthy and fruitful pregnancy.
Next and just as important....you pay to ME!!! and ME alone. Any other person you pay to is a counterfeit. Oya join the queue sharperly.


As for the loss of appetite, just try to eat something healthy even if it means forcing it down your throat. You can also try to eat out. In my 1st trimester I didnt have appetite for anything I cooked but you would see me happily munching mama put or fast food junks.
You are not eating for yourself but for that lil cutie in you that is totally dependent on you to get all the food he needs.

Lol! I guess she was calculating using lunar month. Alot of people make dat mistake. They will say they were pregnant for 10months meanwhile it's 40weeks in the real sense of it.

To my BS, coming soon ( i used to wonder before putting to bed how and why some mothers who had put to bed here usually post midnight but,i understand now). It feels refreshing posting after breastfeeding and changing diapers for me.

My uncle and his wife also planned for 2 kids.he even made a double bulk for them.so the second pregnancy came as twins(2 girls).the wife didn't knw that she was pregnant with twins as scan result was 1 boy.and so therefore ,3 kids

@kendraloops..trust me you don't want a permanent form of birth control..I'd advice you go for the temporary ones and see wch suits you..I'm speaking from my parents experience..things weren't soo OK with them and they felt 2 kids would do..mybdad was the one enforcing it.mum was indifferent..bcz the temporary form of birth control did fail..they resulted to aborting wen ever mum took in ..you can imagine! To cut the long story short things got better,kids were grown and had left for skul.I got married..and then my same dad wanted more kids..he felt he needed more as opposed to when he thought 2 were OK..its became a tug of war..mum couldn't conceive..not bcz she was past menopause..she was still in her early 30s cos she got married very early..constant nagging and quarreling..it threatened to pull the family apart..of course dad wouldn't want to tk d blame..he felt he did wat was right at the time..imagine her going through fertlity treatments..not to bore you but it took almost 5yrs before God answered her prayers and she had the last..just when they were preparing for ivf..imagine if it were a permanent form of birth control they'd used..it wouldn't be funny..

Sorry for the long epistle..just thought I'd share..even though I'd wanted to act indifferent to your post..IMHO temporary would be better for you..besides God never places a burden on us more than which we can bear..things would get better by God's grace..tkcr of you and our lil one
