Anti Ileke, so firefire o ki n se omo kaaro o jiire ?? shocked ... Iyalenu gba lo je fun mi...

You our people abroad can say you are not interested in naija politics but we back here don't have a choice..

We pay hundreds of thousands to educate primary school kids, still pay home lesson teachers a couple of tens of thousands to fill any gap that may exist...

We have constituted ourselves into counties, we provide our own electricity, water, security, fix bad pportions of roads ourselves & you think we'd like it to be so forever...

My last baby we had to do blue pali anchor baby in case the country is still in the ditch & we are too groowwn to contribute muchn he will be a citizen of a place that things of welfare, grants etc...

We don't have a choice here, I don't know how to braid hair & can't start RN degree.... smiley

That Firefire guy behaves too much like a flattie for my comfort.
Let's remember that Yoruba is a universal language, not everyone who speaks it understands the Yoruba struggle and want the Yoruba interest.

I understand why you're into politics, but I'm wondering if there's a way to narrow down that interest to a regional level. It would do us good to not wait for federal government to help and to put the heat on Yoruba politicians when need be.

Is the bold an insult to me? shocked shocked

Greetings,

As you know, we struggle in America despite the tall tales of loose prosperity living in the U.S is expensive. As far as African Americans it has been a trial and fight to develop economically. Most of all the Black rich here, are forbidden to invest in Black causes and African civilization. Yes sure Bill Cosby has over $400 billion in the bank but he can't go into the impoverished areas and lift them up. All celebrities rich and famous have, "Black Cards", watch here for description:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wifj4rdGvi0. These cards are tied to celebrity and many rich African Americans bank accounts which allows Illuminati monitoring of their purchases and withdrawals. They can spend thrift as they like, luxury items, fancy homes and cars, but can't invest in any Black Civilization building activities. And the few who rich Blacks who do, do so with soft causes pre-approved and not aimed at economic development of African Americans or Africa as a whole. African Americans gross over $1 trillion dollars per year and yet there are not trillionaires amongst us. Also very few African Americans billionaires, the few on the list barely are at 1 billion.

Sango is under no delusion as 55 billionaires on the African continent very few of them invest in uplifting their poor brethren. I have concluded that the poor must uplift themselves, which is why I have promoted. Click here: http://youcandoitgroupeconomics..com/ I have read in my articles and reports Africans on the continent referring to group economics as crowdfunding. Check here: http://www.cnn.com/2015/06/16/africa/thundafund-crowdfunding-south-africa/ This is very wise and very similar to what I have proposed. Yet I have proposed these funds being entrusted to traditional sources as my loyalty is to the resurgence of traditional paradigm of Africa, because its a much better system for ruling and meeting the needs of the people, history has proven it. We must utilize self determination, practice restraint and save our funds. I have suggest African Americans or Diaspora to invest household, $15.00 U.S dollars per month, sending that funds to our traditional leadership at Oyotunji African Village Kingdom and the Gullah Gee Chee Nation. These I've found to be the most legitimate Black Nationalists organization that were not started by Freemasons, Jesuits, Jews and covert forces. Many of the other Black Nationalists organizations have non-African origins. Yet Africans on the continent can afford to save $1.25 U.S dollars per month, and the great thing is they can do it in the millions. I have very serious doubts that many African Americans are conscious, willing to take responsibility for their improvement, my best guess, 100,000 a little more. Seeing there are somewhere between 400,000 and 500,000 Gullah Gee Chee people, taking in account 4-5 per household, that would give about 100,000 people. Also another few thousands of Oyotunji citizens, some not living in the village, due to economic struggle, stemming from targeting of them, they probably are about 50,000 members, counting men, women and children. So all in counted in approximately about 144,000 possible donors. Africans in Yorubaland number in the millions so millions can be raised in one month giving $1.25 U.S dollars per day or $248.79, based upon current exchanges. You see, I've given it some great thought, this project is doable. I have calculated Benin Republic, 595.06 CFA per month by the Yorubas in Porto Novo and the surrounding area. We must lift up ourselves if we want to enjoy the good life.

Checking out the video here in Porto Novo, Benin, Africa. These are cousins of Oyotunji, all Yoruba people and Dahomey, they are the people that His Royal His Majesty Oba Adefunmi I wanted us to have cultural and economic connection with. The land here near where many of our ancestors all came from, called the corridor, during the Yoruba Wars with Fulani and Dahomey in the 18th century, Although the Gullah's trace their ancestry to Angola. This is a French speaking nation, the official religion of Benin is Vodun. Yes you heard me correct, Vodun, the traditional African religion is the state religion. Benin people live in peace with one another, Christians, Muslims and Traditional, no fights over these divisions. So all are welcomed. These bold Africans don't care about what Europeans and Arabs have to say about their spiritual beliefs they go on practicing what their ancestors practiced for thousands of years, Traditional African beliefs. They are wanting us in America to invest in machines, tools and heavy equipment, which we can easily afford via group economics. We must graduate our level of thinking into international trade and commerce, competing with other nations around the world for economic zenith. Also we can send our youth, who are greatly unemployed, many of our craftsman and union workers, who are also greatly unemployed. We can start an international food corporation. The great thing is that this is Yoruba land. With the backing of the Obas, who are cousins to our King, His Royal Majesty Oba Adefunmi II, who inherited the throne of his father. We have options my people, we need to think about them while the window of opportunity remains open.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Think about our fundraiser, which is the most unique, because every dollar you put into our $126,000,000 buys you stock in our international food corporation. Yes you will not be just giving your money away. Your money will be returned to you, after all costs and expenses of doing business have been meet. This is how most stock options work. This is what the Most Honorable Marcus Garvey set up. This is how he attracted so many to the UNIA because Mr. Garvey understood to get our people involved in the millions there must be something in it for them. Sango has forwarded this information to Oyotunji African Village Kingdom and the Gullah Gee Chee Nation. We have work unions ran by Ogboni Chiefs and Oyotunji has been a separate land since 1970. We don't advise fighting for rights because we have our own land and we are moving forward with establishing more land and development. So please join us and give your contribution. Come visit us and and experience the same Africa you see in the video. We can do it like the Amorish and Mormons have done, which is build intentional communities based upon group economics. We can't march forever and we don't have to fight to win justice. Love Sango -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Help save Gullah Gee Chee land. Fighting hard for African liberation since the 17th century, descendants of Angola, the Gullah Gee Chee people, managed to preserve some of their native tongue, their ancestry culture and pride. From slave revolts to freeing other slaves, civil rights struggle, Pan-Africanism, many of the members of the famed, "Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church" of Charleston are Gullah Gee Chee descendants. Because of the low state of economy of South Carolina's Low Country, government seizure of their lands and vicious taxation, many Gullah people are losing their lands. But you can help them out with a small donation. Here is their GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/panafricanfamilyem

Concessionaire seeks N150bn to complete Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

The private sector investor currently in charge of the redevelopment of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway is looking for around N150bn to complete the 127.6-kilometre project.

Paucity of funds is said to have hindered further work on the road, but our correspondents gathered that the new investor, Motorway Assets Limited, was in the final stages of negotiation with lenders to raise between N120bn and N150bn for the second tranche of funds to complete the project.

The Federal Government had provided the initial N50bn in the first tranche by appropriating N25bn each in the 2013 and 2014 budgets following the revocation of the initial concession agreement with Bi-Courtney Highway Services.

Our correspondents also gathered that the management of Motorway Assets Limited would meet with the potential financiers of the project on Friday to fine-tune the details of funding arrangement and other aspects of the project.

The reconstruction of the busiest highway in the country into 10 lanes was initially projected to cost N167bn, but the Managing Director, The Bank of Infrastructure, Mr. Adekunle Oyinloye, told one of our correspondents in a telephone interview on Monday that the project cost was likely to rise now because of the redesign of the road to accommodate new features.

According to him, the new set of consultants coming into the project are currently redesigning the road because the initial design was not comprehensive and did not take into account some peculiar factors.

Oyinloye said though the initial design made provision for a flyover to take vehicular traffic to the Redemption Camp of the Redeemed Christian Church of God along the expressway, the consultants were looking at the sites of other religious bodies along the road and how best to solve the gridlock usually associated with the road anytime they had a programme.

He noted that other key features of the new design were the provision of 24-hour emergency and rescue services on the road, an engineering solution to the Mowe/Ibafo area where human activities were currently taking place almost in the centre of the road, and other facilities such as truck parts that would make the highway to be of international standard.

The TIB boss said, “The seeming lack of activities on the road is as a result of the new arrangement. The road is now a Public-Private Partnership project, which has a process and structure. About 75 per cent of the process is documentation; if we don’t get that right, the entire project will become a problem.

“Motorway Assets Limited has been given consideration for the project. The Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission has to give the concession certificate; while the lenders and investors have to ensure that all the details are properly worked out. We have now got all the relevant approvals.”

Oyinloye, who said the TIB was just a facilitator of the project, noted that what had been done on the road so far was early work, adding that upon the conclusion of the funding arrangement, the reconstruction would move at a higher pace.

Contrary to insinuation that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari might not be comfortable with the details of the project as approved by the administration of the former President Goodluck Jonathan, the TIB managing director said the new administration was happy with the project, especially the fact that the private sector would provide the bulk of the funding in view of dwindling government revenue occasioned by falling crude oil prices.

Our correspondents further gathered that the project would now be executed on a Build, Operate and Transfer basis, but that the details were still being worked on.

The Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, the oldest and busiest inter-state route in Nigeria, is a major artery connecting Lagos to other states of the federation. It was inaugurated in August 1978 during the military era, under the administration of Olusegun Obasanjo.

‘Healthcare in Nigeria’ll be more efficient if LGs are directly empowered’

Dr Kinsley Akinroye, is the Executive Director, Nigerian Heart Foundation and Honorary Consul, Finland. In this session, he intimates the need for the Federal government of Nigeria to increase effort in healthcare system, while also advising that primary healthcare system in the country will be more efficient if local governments are directly empowered to run an efficient system and the Federal government runs the tertiary health care services effectively and efficiently.
Akinroye also spoke on the challenging role as the Nigerian Heart Foundation Director and Honorary Consul, Finland, among other issues. Excerpt:

By Vera Samuel Anyagafu

THE challenging but interesting role I have being involved in promoting relationship between Finland and Nigeria for quite a long time through personal interaction and as a founding member of Nigerian-Finnish Association, and following my post graduate studies in Finland, I continue to have interactions with Finland. I was nominated as the first Honorary Consul of Finland in Nigeria in 2012, by the Embassy of Finland.
Kinsley Akinroye

Kinsley Akinroye

This has being a very interesting and challenging role especially building relationship between a country of five million people and a country of 160 million people. Over the last few years there has being progress in the areas of telecommunication, environmental, meteorological and infrastructural technology, power, education, and health.

Lesson for Nigerian
The lesson for Nigeria is to have an effective publicly funded universal health coverage supported by the National Health Act. The primary health care system will be more efficient if local governments are directly empowered to providing the health care services. At secondary health care system the state government should be directly empowered to run an efficient system while the federal government should be seen to run the tertiary health care services effectively and efficiently.

Competitive edge
I look forward to this unique event to showcase the experience of Finland and Finnish expertise, innovations and health devices that can promote health and well-being in Nigeria. Finland is one of the countries with long life expectancy in the world, comparable to most sub-Saharan African countries including Nigeria, with a gap of almost about twenty years. The sharing of knowledge and experience on Finnish lifestyles would throw light on bridging the gap.
Finnish companies working in the areas of health are expected to be present and will also provide a forum for companies, experts, decision makers, business leaders, and government officials to network and explore areas of bilateral cooperation.
Bi-lateral co-operation and expectations
I am aware that the Finnish healthcare and services are of high quality at the level of primary, secondary and tertiary health systems. There are companies involved in the areas of diagnostics for heart diseases, cancer, diabetes which are highly efficient, simple and innovative to use.

Universal health care

The Finnish health care system is excellent and operates a publicly funded universal health care. In addition, Municipalities (Local Governments) are responsible for providing health care services e.g running local health care centers while there are also regional university teaching hospitals, which are predominantly financed with tax money in addition to small affordable user fees. The health policy in Finland works effectively and it is decided at the national level with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. Health research is given a high priority in Finland.

Characterizing Finns, or Finnish society
Though, Finland is regarded as a distant, cold and mystical country inhabited by about five million people. It is a country endowed with nature, beautiful forest, sea, islands, and lakes. This is a country that has priority for education, equality of the sexes and fair distribution of wealth.

In Finnish society, one cannot but notice the role of women in public and private institutions especially at the highest level. The Finnish are very proud about the sauna which is very close to the heart of every family. Though, Finland and Nigeria started relationship in 1963, when Finland established its first sub-Saharan Embassy in Lagos, there is a lot of potentials for the relationship to grow with mutual benefits to both countries.

I pity those who have to go to work through that road, closing hours will be horrible considering how bad both sides of the road are and the attendant traffic it generates.

I was going to link my bvn at the EcoBank branch in MFM premises and I saw mad traffic.

Would state of emergency bar or bring an end to the nuisance created by members of both churches and Nasfat along that road every end of the month? And these churches won't deem it fit to fix the portion of the road around their churches which can be said to have been damaged as a result of the traffic they cause.

They should be forced to either limit the population of attendees per month or cancel the monthly converge all together. It is improper to make life difficult for others because of religion which should be a personal business.

Assuming I visit? The whole point of going to Nigeria, for me, is to go to Ekiti.

Well I loved it. It's "earthy" like you said, clean, green boisterous. People were generally nice/kind.

I visited several cities/villages in Ekiti. I was happy with the development [even tho it was in a slow pace] Fayemi was achieving in several parts......roads/bridges/fixing our dam.

I spent 80% of my time in my lovely state and I didn't want to go back to Lagos.

I love my state.

I hated the unlawful okadas tho. embarassed
Hmm! Omo Ekiti...

People just need to wake up and realize Swest as a region does not need Nigeria to thrive. Rather, Nigeria is the reason SWest and her citizens are poor.

We need leaders with the same mind state.

Nigeria is surviving because of 1) Ijaw oil 2) viable Yorubaland (business growth, peace and tolerance, innovation etc).
