Lol. Tongue in the cheek, alie?

Anyway, don't let these folks' noise get to you - they're just the masters of making noise. In a well structure environment, their style of doing business will never work.

Have you ever asked yourself why over 90% of Nigerian businesses in the UK (I believe it should be lopsided in favour of Yorubas in US and Canada as well) are owned by Yorubas?

P.S: I just said 90% to be fair - it's about 99%, if I'm being factual cos you'll see more than 100 businesses owned by Yorubas before you see one Igbo business out here.

I've mentioned the same thing before. Shady businesses can only prosper in Nigeria. They often mention that Yoruba steal ND oil, I guess a Yoruba man also stole Texas oil (Texas Oilman: Kase Lawal)? Igbos like to lie to themselves about Yoruba successful businessmen.

This flag design is a nice concept except for few things.

The colors. In Yoruba spirituality all colors are used but three stand out for cosmic representation and should be adopted as our national colors, instead of the four bands here -
Osun, Red
Efun, White
Aro, Blue

Cowries. Whats the significance of the seven, why not sixteen?

7 cowries, representing the 7 sons or grandsons of Odu to da iwa.

The insignificant 8th being the son Oduduwa's slave.

I think you mixed up something sir.

Yellow represents Osun goddess.

Efun/Ala represents Obatala, Orisaoko, Oluorogbo, Obarese and Orisakire.

Red represents Ogun, Sango

Aro/blue represents Yemoja

Overall, the flag design is nice but I think the cowries should be expanded to 16 in order not to give any level of importance to any town either directly or not.

With due respect to every other sub-ethnic groups in Yorubaland, Ijebus and Ijehas had been doing international trade before Igbos knew the road to Lagos. I'm talking about hundreds of years ago.

When they blab and rant like they always do, I just smile.

Ekiti Clay company resumes operation after 17 yrs | Punch newspapers |

Ire Clay Products Limited has returned to production 17 years after the company was shut due to major technical problems.

The Managing Director of the Company, Mr. Biodun Adedeji, told journalists that about N815 million was spent to resuscitate the company now worth N1.05 billion due to valuation on land and building of old Ondo State Bricks Work Limited.

According to him, the plant, when fully become operational on July 1, would focus on five products: Decking pot, hollow block, faces lift, partitioning blocks and sun breakers.

“It will reduce construction cost by 60 percent. The plant is the most modern brick plant in Nigeria and West-African sub-region and can compete with any of its peer globally.

“At present, the company has engaged over 100 youths mostly graduates in mechanical, electrical and other disciplines to work with the expatriates,” he said.

Adedeji recalled that efforts to revive the company-jointly owned by Ekiti State Government (70%) and Odu’a Investment Company Limited (30%) began in 2008 by former Governor Segun Oni’s administration who committed N90 million out of the required N400 million.

He added that his successor, Kayode Fayemi, on assumption of office contributed N351 million while the joint partner contributed N140 million after the initial N30 million because of increase in cost of equipment.

He gave his assurance that the company would produce 20 million units of bricks per annum, and create over 200 direct and indirect jobs. http://www.yohaig.ng/newspapers/the-punch/ekiti-clay-company-resumes-operation-after-17-yrs/

Good!
the problem of housing in sw can eliminated from the LG level.
it's so common in Nigeria, you will always have highbrow areas And low income earners areas.
the difference is always clear.
not surprised though, it reflects the income of the average man.
our per capita income need to increase.

Some Romanis been ccrying up & down in my mentions asking if it will improve my life if they are of yoruba stock.

1. My life is bright already, a little more shine & it will be golden...

2. We yorubas are not like them, having all the opportunity with little or n impact in the life of their people save for choking the fed civil service with their incompetent folks that the former SGF imported from their states..
