If anyone from the SS and SE thinks that the Anglo-American empire will support any liberal and capitalist leaning black man from this gulf of Guinea should visit a psychiatrist.
The west will prefer to help the feudal North against the liberal South and this was proven in 1967 even as they were Christians and Catholic.
I've seen the West for who they are and I'll not even entrust them with my emancipation at any point - The west do not help any country that run with the same ideology with them especially countries they've exploited before colonization.
As a young boy I had the same mentality but I can tell you that these guys in number 10 Downing Street and Washignton will never help you achieve emancipation from the their appointed guardian of the black gold which is in your backyard - Forget all the shouts of "death to America" their elites are in bed with the west.

Those that do not understand and know the importance of historical events will only continue to rely on the same people that put them where they are.
It might interest you to know that a bulk of the black soldiers that helped the British to subdue the great Benin empire during the punitive expedition were of Hausa/Fulani extraction.

You've said it all Bro. We don enter the forced-marriage already, we need to apply wisdom. Development of our regions and making it attractive to investors should be our focus now not secession. Secession, to me, is a long thing. Going to war again will only destroy what we have worked hard to achieve for years.

Gradually, we shall get there. FG is encouraging investment in mining of solid minerals, it shall be easier to discuss regionalism or outright dissolution of Nigeria when every region becomes viable.

God Bless Us All.

You've made a passionate and great points I swear but on the part of lording anyone I have this to say : it is a well documented occurrence that minority groups are usually wary of majority groups even in the animal Kigndom .
What the Igbo nation would have done is to sustain and maintain the relationship forged between the SS and SE due to Jonathan's emergence but what we've seen so far is the same 1967 slogan where distinct ethnic group and being called and labelled as "Igbo" which I'm not against but I think it is important not repeat same ideological rethoric that have caused a lot of bitterness and even if they strongly feel so then they should allow it to be heard in a referendum and not making some elaborate comments online and offline ,these comments will only further make the people to feel that the old system of domination has reared its ugly head again.
Every larger ethnic group always have an agenda even the ijaws feel that because they are the champions of the struggle and then should get a lion share but it is obvious to them that they stand no chance without the support of the other ethnic groups around them.
So, you guys need to go back to the drawing board as we all are well aware that without having the Niger Delta behind you , you'll always remain at the mercy of the fulani man and his co conspirators and of course without the support of the Igbos the Niger delta ethnic groups will remain where they are right now too.
No one should be playing the big brother here but respect for ethnic boundaries, equality and respect for other people's ways of addressing themselves will go a long way in forging that much desired unity we all needed like water.
We are in the same boat.
Our collective quest should be on how to drive away the marauding invaders from the Southwest and the North. You cannot come all the way from Futa Jallon and own all the oil wells in Okrika, Nembe and Ukwa while expecting the people to be grateful to you for the little handouts you dish out to them. It is never done anywhere. We need to challenge this.

This is what i have been telling my Igbo Cousins, focus on economy, Money will buy the Politics and Influence. You have the Human resource, the entrepreneurial spirit, forget Biafra as a Seceded Nation but see it as an autonomous economic powerhouse, him to called me a " coward"

They are already achieving that but all of a sudden they want to throw all that away for some ego induced mentality.
Control the economy from the North to the South and watch who would be crying secession at the end of the day. Let the North keep gallivanting on oil they don't have because by the time the oil is useless the place will be so chaotic that even the agriculture will become useless - Do they need a soothsayer to know that without a standing Nigerian army that Boko haram will take over the North in just one week?
The Northern oligarch are already losing it , what you're seeing now is akin to a drowning man - He'll clutch to anything including a serpent.

What do you do when a bully is luring you to say something that will give him the needed excuses to beat the hell out of you ? You play dumb , weak and afraid until the time is right.

I wish sometimes you can rely on you advice such as "At a point common sense will not push you far - An educated mind is a goldmine". You seem be ill-educated. By the way, Ojukwu did not break Nigeria into 12 states. It is apparent in your case that even the "common sense" is no longer common.

Honestly, the autonomous nature of the Igbo man did not give him room for unnecessary patience and diplomacy . But one has to weigh his options carefully before taking a calculated risk which is what the Igbo man lacks in abundance but let's be fair here - There is a conspiracy to keep the igbo man down and this is bad and totally unacceptable .
Sometimes I understand their plight and frustration because how can a people so vibrant be held down by some crazed zombies that has total disregard for nationalism and self development but wanting to drag the Niger delta into their problems is a no no situation even as we find ourselves in the same boat. We are children of circumstances and it would be unfortunate to for us to take any calculated risk that will backfire. At least not now.
If I were Ojukwu I wouldn't go to war but I'll build a regional economic powerhouse because once you win the economic war then the military confrontation will become a walk in the park.
Why is North Korea not attacking South Korea on a full scale invasion ? Because the big boys interests are in the South.
Win the economic war and watch the North come to the negotiating table.

Yes. Success is the best revenge.

"This is the position of my group-SS"---This is where you flaw your argument. You can't speak for the whole SS-that's very narrow-minded. Many in your 'SS' don't share your view.

I own 3 huge and aggressive caucasians. You give them the space and they become your oga... You stamp down your feet and wield the big stick and they submit. We might have to apply both theories. Push aggressively when we have to and make sure we remain tactful while doing so. That is wisdom

Per the bolded, it is no longer in doubt how shallow you are intellectually. Do you mean that Ojukwu should build regional economic powerhouse on a region Gowon has already divided into states? The breakages of the regions into states were the pure declaration of war on eastern region of Nigeria by illegal Nigerian government led by Gowon.

This is a result of lack of education, when you create an Extremist group, you keep them as far away as possible from you, the Americans did not make the Cartels strong enough to invade but they made taliban and al-qaeda overly military trained, but kept them half way across the world..

Gowon was not even a major general before the War started, he was made a General doing the start of the war to give him more Power.

ojukwu should have been smarter, he could have found a way to emancipate his brothers with education, pushing war was too extreme

Were you aware that the same breakages was also done in the South West and the Mid West region was created which is today's Delta and Edo states ? And the South West didn't secede. You might want to argue that Igbos were massacred in the North aren't they still killing Southerners in the North on yearly basis ?

You see Nigeria is a difficult country - Don't be surprised if this war breaks out today , southerners would still be the ones supplying the Nigerian military weapons from abroad.
