I doesn't matter. Biafra will never happen. Igbos are not ready for another war and Nigeria is not willing to let anybody go. It is interesting that when GEJ saturated every corner of his government with Igbos, we never saw ONE SINGLE march by IPOB. As soon as Buhari was elected they held a massive march in Aba. This is WHY most Nigerians, who can used their brains, see this current Biafra agitation as mere bad belly against Buhari. ITS 100% political - and hence we don't take them seriously. Wait until 2019 and present your candidate. Until then, Shut the fvck up - Ndi ara. 30 Likes 3 Shares |

TonyeBarcanista: Per the bolded, the "we" crap smack of cowardice. Who are the "we" in the above junk? The inconsequential SS is a thing of yesterday that had nothing to do with eastern region of Nigeria. Look, Ijaw_citizen, I would appreciate if you indicate what Ijaw your were carved out. I know an Ijaw Flight Lieutenant who dead fighting for Biafra. Also there was one Ijaw boy from a well known family in Sagbama who commanded 52 brigade of Biafran "S" Div. at Igurunta who was bent in capturing PH towards the tail end of 1969. Even one of the top fighter pilots in Biafra is also from Sagbama too. You are a loser!!! Like those whose grandfather gambled away their family fortune and asking why the family is poor. 32 Likes 3 Shares |

DerideGull: Bia be realistic. If Nigeria is not willing to let any part of it break away what other options do you have? EVERY country will do ANYTHING to protect their territorial integrity. 620,000 Americans were slaughtered in the civil war to protect America's territorial integrity. Today, any Southern American state (like Texas etc.) that tries to break away will be pummeled into submission. Tibet (with the support of world powers) has been trying to break away from China since 1793 with no success. China has jailed, tortured and killed many of them into submission. Now all they have left is to use diplomatic means but since China is not interested in letting them go, its not gonna happen. And if you think Japan and South Korea are diplomatic role models why don't you see what we happen if ANY part of those two countries try to break away. Ojukwu took Biafra to war against Nigeria in 1967 and the Nigerian military WON the war by beating Biafra/Ojukwu to submission. With Ojukwu sacrificing 2 million Biafrans in the process of showing how 'tough' he was. Why should Nigeria now hand over what her brave soldiers fought valiantly to keep? The Igbos best bet is to go to war and if (A VERY BIG IF) they win the war against Nigeria then they can take their pick of any territory in the country. The ONLY way diplomatic means MIGHT work is if their is a massive EXODUS of Igbos from all over the country back to the East. If other Nigerians start seeing their Igbos neighbors relocate en masse back to the east, then out of compassion these Nigerians will put pressure on the government to allow the Igbos to have their own country.Other Nigerians will start joining the Igbos in protest for the actualization of Biafra. That is when you will start hearing Nigerians saying things like, "na by force, these poor people are already moving out, please govt. stop been stubborn and let them have their own country - they deserve it." But you and I know that a mass exodus of Igbos will NEVER happen. MOST Igbos would rather live outside of Biafra than within Biafran - this is the reality of the matter and no amount of noise making on the internet will change this. 67 Likes 21 Shares |

DerideGull: Oga, TonyeBarcanista is very correct in saying that when Ojukwu declared is Biafra, he was Governor of Eastern state that excluded Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom and Cross river. Old Rivers and Old Cross river were already created by Gowon. In February 1966, when Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick alongside their supporters proclaimed a "Delta Peoples Republic", biafra was not included in the said republic. On 27 May 1967, under the administration of General Yakubu Gowon, decree No. 14 was issued, allowing the creation of Rivers State. Ojukwu's Eastern region at the time of "secession" did not include Ijawland or modern day SS area. The good people of Niger Delta fought alongside gallant Nigerian soldiers to defeat the secessionists. My Gull, there is no need to try to revise history, though we have come to expect that from you. If you and the likes of Kanu want to lead Igbo youths on another suicide mission, be rest assured that the people of the Niger Delta will fight you once again. 41 Likes 1 Share |

FisifunKododada: Pert the bolded, why is it that most dumbass Nigerians readily inject what is obtained in USA on issue pertaining to Nigeria? There is sound logic in human nature and it seems lost on most Nigeria. If the dumbass Nigeria is one-millionth to what USA is all about, who in his/her right mind will remember Biafra? China's route to maturation is not the same as Nigeria. Nigeria came about through amalgamation by the British imperialist. Most mindsets displayed by Nigerians do not give hope of constructive growth in Nigeria. Most Nigerians waste precious time comparing oranges and apples. It will be a serious lapse in human intellect for one to think 1967 when war is the subject matter in today's Nigeria. 11 Likes 1 Share |

nduchucks: Per the bolded, Gowon was not recognized as anything in eastern region therefore has no slightest of authority to divide eastern region. Why would Gowon and Nigeria had to fight a war to step into the so-called states created by him? Only in your goofy world that you share what does not belong to your father. 5 Likes |

DerideGull: You are not very informed. Here is how I can tell. In 2013 More than a 100,000 Texans signed an online petition calling on the Obama administration to allow Texas to secede from the United States and create an independent government. Obama told them, NO. Texas is the America state with the second biggest economy after California and yet their are hundreds of thousands of Texans who would like to secede from the USA. As a matter of fact, In the wake of the Nov. 6 2012 Presidential election, petitions seeking to secede from the union have been filed on behalf of 23 states on the White House website, https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petitions. Most of the petitions contain the same wording and ask to withdraw “peacefully” from the United States in order to form independent governments. Please inform yourself before quoting people who are your intellectual seniors. 36 Likes 2 Shares |

DerideGull: The eastern region was part of Nigeria at that time and even Ojukwu had to comply with the decree or face court martial. Ojukwu or anyone from the Eastern region never raised any objection to the formation of Rivers state. It is only in your delluded world that the civil war was fought because of the creation of Rivers state. Stop this crap about Niger Delta being part of biafra while you are ahead. As I stated earlier when Isaac Boro, Sam Owonaro and Nottingham Dick alongside their supporters proclaimed a "Delta Peoples Republic", they did so without including the Easterners. Do your biafra thing without the people of Niger Delta, you do not need them. ko kwa? 22 Likes |

What do you mean by a military head of state was not recognized in the eastern region? Do you think he needed your chieftancy title to wield his authority over your region? If you people had not evolved to recognize constituted authority due to the lack of a native structure of governance, you should have by now. It's your lack of awareness of the LAND USE ACT that still makes you think you have more right over your land than the FG does, which is why you think Gowon was sharing your father's property. Do you for once ask yourself what was the essence of peace conference at Aburi, Ghana? It appears most Nigerians have penchant for illogicality. fulanimafia: How did he disarm him with logic? Like someone rightfully pointed out earlier, we love to compare apples to oranges alot as Nigerians. We are talking about an aggitation by over 5 southeastern states in addition to some south south states , and he is mentioning one USA state. Besides what are the reasons Texans have for seceeding from the USA? Are they marginalized like the Ibos. The last time I heard, Texas is one of the largest economies in the USA. If you have ever been to Texas, you will understand that nobody will ever understand why they will agitate for an independent state. Nobody will ever simpathyze with them. If you check well you will realize that majority of the so called 100,000 signatures have ties to the KKK racist movement. However come to the Southeast, and you will understand why the people are clamoring for an independent nation 13 Likes |

Yes he clearly stole the wind from his sail with common sense. The argument was about nations adopting extreme measures to defend their territorial integrity, which the ignorant one condemned Nigeria for, only to be enlightened that the model of modern democracy, America, has done the same in the past and is in fact a norm. His exact words were "A European or even Asian cannot insinuate war when issue of self-determination is the subject of discussion". Is it not illogical to now ask why America and it's massacre of secessionists during the civil war was introduced as an instance in the discourse? Were you expecting to hear Iran? I don't expect you to entertain reason which flows against your narrative, but stop insulting our intelligence by pretending to be rational about issues when you're clearly lily-hopping. TonyeBarcanista:If based on the reason you give, Ijaw and other minorities were not part of the Biafran declared by Ojukwu, it means Igbos were also not part of it. If you did your research vgery well, you'll realize that the east central state was also declared alongside rivers state and other states created and Ukpabi Asika was the administrator from 1967 to 1970. A lot of minorities fought on the side of Nigeria just much as those minorities that fought on teh side of Biafra. There were also loads of Igbos that fought on the side of Nigeria against a rebelious leader in the name of Ojukwu. The sooner you do away with any hate you have for Igbos and see the truth for what it is, the better for you. 16 Likes 4 Shares |
