Most people here are fools. The original statement may have been doctored and presented under duress for him to sign. He just acted as a fearless ibo man.

I believe that is what metu might have said, but it is not acceptable to the EFCC, unless he accepts to return the money. That is why they are giving this crap as a reason for continuous detention.

"Ah well too bad, I used it to service the campaign, I had no knowledge of the actual source, profit has been spent for undisclosable purposes"

Sue EFCC for tarnishing his image, violating his human rights and his privacy.

As much as I want criminals to go to jail and pay for the consequences, this case is not really strong.

And we are to clap for you because you presented a better alternative? My question to you: The party you wanted in power desperately, what was its method of taking confession from the suspects? Even if it was on leaves or animal skins, they never had any initiative to bring looters to book.

Please do not attempt to paint me in the level of Nigeria. I am very careless about the idiotic partisan politics in Nigeria. I am only interested in the observance of rule of law. It is not bad to want inhabitants of the zoo called Nigeria to have the feel of human nature.

Nigerians and their animalistic intellect or lack thereof. In this day and age, a man cannot make a confession and he is presented with the written confession only for him to tear the paper. Does it mean that EFCC cannot afford electronic tape recorder? A voice-recorded confession is more damning than a useless written confession on a silly piece of paper. APC, Buhari and EFCC are bunch of useless dimwits. These goons can only bamboozle gullible Nigerians.

..And who told you this phucktard that the EFCC does not have recorded 'electronic evidence'?

"Smart people" ask a question and wait for an answer .........not proceed to proffer a silly rant as to what "they think" is obtainable.

Despite the electronic evidence, every court in the Western World still asks the Prosecutor to provide a judge with a written statement of the accused, as first base. undecided undecided
if you are in doubt, then go visit court proceedings in the Western world.

You dont incarcerate a man because he is criminally minded, you send him to jail because you have evidence of a crime and you prove your case in a court of Law. Innocent till proven guilty is a fundamental part of our legal system for good reason. That may mean that a few criminals get away with their crimes but I would suggest that just means we need to get better at catching and gathering evidence against criminals.

Let him eat the paper, he will "shit" the paper and our Paper money he ate! grin grin

I think he should be transfered to SAARS in Lagos. Walahi,, within two days, he will voluntary return every Naira Note he ate!

Like I normally say if this monies, are left with these criminals they would wage a successful war against nigeria. We all know these people are not innocent- should we because of lacunas in our legal system allow leeches and formal highway robbers continue to get away because of the poor judicial policy of the judiciary?

Like Ive said before, I would like imbeciles like Metuh locked up and the keys thrown away, there are times I wish we were in a military regime, infact one of the biggest missteps this country took was the overthrow of Buhari in 1983, we would be a much saner society today if he had continued. However we operate in a civilian regime and we must follow the rule of law. I am sure you wouldn't want someone to arrest and detain you simply because he believe you are guilty even though he has no proof.

That part got me scratching my head honestly. At the end of one's statement is supposed to an appended signature by the author of the statement. I don't understand how an unsigned state was received by investigators only to be taken back to him for signing. Why collect it initially if it wasn't signed?

Exactly. They should be hanged.

In fact, the reaction of PDP members over Metuh's detention over an issue that he is o=involved in a case of corruption goes to show that the black-man is cursed. This is the worst country where people see corruption as a way of life.

I refuse to believe they don't have proof*(EFCC), for example- "monies", were paid and it moved within various banks and accounts - specifically, from a particular account under scrutiny now for unjustifiable reasons, because if not they wouldn't have invited "that one metuh to explain" now note; under what accounting heading was this monies stolen?- now, I want to believe the reason why they invite people, is to give them the opportunity to say their part of how the "monies" came to be! Now the issues are, what are they saying or what did they say which totally contradicts, what is on paper or evidences they have against them, that is causing them to keep them for further questioning?* and it's not about the rule of law, the beauty of our constitution is - it is silent about questioning and interrogation- it only says charge the people to court "so under this guise, people can be held for questioning O"

What actually is a human right? - and where do these rights start and stop? What maybe a right to someone, may actually be an infringement, on someone else's right- do you think those in the national assembly would change those sections of the constitution? Do you know most of them are Ex governors and they would be tried retro-actively (retro vies)for some of these issues, so it's beneficial for those lacunas to be in the constitution, because they need their partial freedom* we have only started one part of this corruption fight - we still have 3 major area's to face' oil and gas, civil service and then private sector (banking)

apc has the majority in national assembly, theyclaim to be change agent, let them change it. EFCC is now the law court that try and jail corrupt people? Nigerians and their local mentality, so buhari is bigger that nigeria institution? What stops him from strengthening? So if buhari abandons the institution and operates like a dictator without improving the system and his tenure ends, don't you think that we have not made any progress cos the next set of people will still loot. Reason why you envy uk, usa etc is because their law is working and no man operates above the law like your god buhari is doing.
