It's part of his learning curve. It's only too obvious because we haven't a solid team.

We are saying almost same thing. This is how it started. I had to go review the build up to the goal.

Then followed by this. With Rooney dragged to extreme left while most of our players went to the box.

With a triangle passing, they left Rooney behind and passed back to Colochini.

We outnumbered them in our box, but they gained the upper hand because we were not organized.

We were 7 men against 3 Newcastle forwards in our box area and we conceded. That is unacceptable. Smalling got confused on where to stay, then he went to stay on attacking side of that guy that scored while he should be on the defensive side. With seven men behind a long ball, there shouldn't have been enough space for an opposition to utilize. This is what opposition had successfully done against us week in week out.

I also wonder if the tactics was to allow the opposition space to utilize the ball while building with the intention of outnumbering them in our defensive area.

that was where we lost the game cos it made their defenders to occupy the midfield while their midfielders and forwards overloaded our half. Coloccini was left free to spread passes while Blind that should have done so for us was engaged by their forward. Our lack of a CMF to dictate play also worsened it.

still we should have defended better... no excuse for that.

I was referring to elampiro's observation that our midfielders were not moving more with the ball at their feet. Part of the Philosophy is that you should always pass to the next available player instead of moving far up-field with the ball.

I said long ago that fellain was not United quality but Coogar and his guys were saying something else.
Also with the way United is expected to play there is no place for Mata or Herrera and anyway I do not think they are good enough.

It is easy to join the band wagon and make fun of Elampiro cos of his love for PACE and PAWA but that is exactly what this team needs.

Carrick Herrera schweinsteiger and fellaini are hurting this team defensively. Too much pressure on d defenders because all our attackers and midfielders are shadow markers.
Herrera who tries to get stuck in lacks both the strength and tackling technique to be of real help. We saw Depay tracking back yesterday only to be of no help and rather assisting the opponents.
The buck stops at the desks of LVG and Woody cos it is criminal to spend so much money and have a team without a reliable central midfield ,no 7 and no reliable 10.

Every game he played as a CM, we get battered. Dude can't pass, tackle, defend.....dunno wat LVG sees in him dat makes him still play him. Offers nothing both in d defensive phase and attacking phase of the team..

Damning! This is exactly what i said after the match yesterday. He's not giving us anything other than disrupting our play. Teams now know how to play against him.

Midfield has 3 jobs
1) control tempo
2) contribute to attack with goals and assists and chances created
3) protect the defence

In 2 and 3 it is an obvious fail. The 1 self it is this boring and impotent tempo control.
I was never sold on Mata and Fellaini who are too extremist for my liking ( One is all power no skill or brain and the the other is all brain no power). Only thing they share in common is their propensity to move at the inverse of the speed of light.
Carrick and Schweinsteiger ..... Watch the Arsenal match Das all.
Herrera is a slightly above average player who appears so good because all around him is putrid.

This is an eye opener. The worst is when you play him beside Schweinsteiger.

Schederline and Schweinsteiger are our best pair for now.

Most times one does not closely study players until the come to one's team
An example is Valencia and his dead left foot, another is Anderson and his inability to shoot with his instep.
Mata has zero pace,zero power and close to zero dribbling ability,his right foot his zero and he can't shield the ball.
He is good at padding his stats but he is not a major factor.

I bin no dey like table Herrera matter for here because it seemed as if nobody saw any limitations in his ability. I have never really been impressed with him but because of the "love" wey hin get for here, I started looking for his "greatness" by force.

Unfortunately, I still dey find those "qualities" that make him a "top-player"

shweini and carrick, schweini and fellaini= DISASTER.....
Schneiderlin+fellaini= confusion cos they both get in each other's way as evident last night because fellaini is a bee popping up everywhere committing fouls trying to form busy.. doesn't cover for schneiderlin whenever he pushes forward, instead its Herrera who drops deep while the supposedly other CM is fooling himself in and around the LW...
