Plus, kindly answer the question I asked you earlier.

I laugh out loud when I meet people here arguing over politicians political mess. I don't know what is exactly is wrong with us, the common citizens, defending shady politicians who don't about us. Imagine the mind-boggling huge amount of monies they sat and shared among themselves comfortably and confidently. Never had us in their minds when doing so, and we are here defending them over our own lost. I don't know if we're being bewitched by them to be blinded forever, and even fighting against our liberty. C'mon, it's time we wise up and say no to them, and welcome our liberation, thanks.

I don't get your point. You can't charge Dasuki for looting the whole $2.2billion except you can establish that he on his own diverted the entire money. However, there are people involved that will share part in the prosecution. Also be aware that the FG is charging Sambo in bits.

Secondly, if neither Sambo Dasuki nor the Director of finance denied the $2.2billion, what exactly are you harping your argument on?

Thirdly, the investigators has said they have documents, this the people in the center didn't dispute. I don't know why again you are disputing.

Fouthly, Dokpesi has already been charged to court, he's on bail. He will explain to the judge. Bail is not freedom

Fifthly, there is nothing like media trial. I am not aware of any. The media only report events.

The emboldened doesn't make sense. You can sue dasuki for misappropriating all of the $2.1 billion dollars.

I have been following the so called Dasukigate and I am amazed how easy it is for a government to use the media to deceive and distract the ignorant masses. History has shown that propaganda remains the biggest tool of any government that intends to enslave a people. Unfortnately, even the current opposition has been quite incompetent in putting the records straight

For the records, there is nothing like a $2.1B arms money. It was a propaganda masterstroke well concotted by the DSS and EFCC to distract everyone from the incompetence of the Buhari administration. That is why former president Goodluck Jonathan has come out twice now to put the records staright that he never approved any $2.1B arms money. But it seems the ignorant masses still dont get it. So where did the "$2.1B arms money" headline originate from?

$2.1B was the monies that was allocated to the office of the NSA throughout Dasuki's tenure as NSA. These monies come under SECURITY VOTE. It was not money allocated to the purchase of weapons as the DSS and the EFCC have claimed. That is why they cant take Dasuki to court. They will lose woefully. Security vote is not money allocated for arms purchase. Of the whole monies that make up the $2.1B, only the $300 million from the returned Abacha loot was actually recommended for the purchase of arms. That is why in court, the charges brought against Dasuki was in that range. But they are likely going to lose in court for that because weapons were actually purchased. Whether they are worth $300 million is what the EFCC will have to prove in court. But from the way they have been refusing to follow the court process, one is safe to assume that they dont trust their own case against Dasuki.

But why did they go with the headlines of "$2.1 Billion arms purchase money" when they knew it was not the case? Because the whole anti coruption fight was only a propaganda stunt from the beginning. It was a well crafted stunt to distract the masses and persecute any dissenting voice so Buhari can fully consolidate power. Does that mean I think many of the politicians mentioned in the scandal are clean? By no means! Nigerian politicians are corrupt without a doubt including the presidency and everyone in the rulling APC party. The president's campaign itself was sponsored from corruption. The Amaechi corruption scandals are well documented with very strong evidence.

If Dasuki has stolen any funds, he should be prosecuted accordingly, but the media propaganda and charade has got to stop. Media trial is injustice in itself. I find it really deceitful when I see lines like "what will you tell the Nigerian soldiers that didnt have weapons to fight and were killed because Dasuki shared the arms money". That is nothing but propaganda and trying to appeal to sentiments to push a narrative. If that were the case, what has the same military been using to fight BH in the last 8 months since Buhari has not bought any new weapons? What weapons did the army use to push back BH prior to the 2015 elections? Did they push BH back with their bare hands too? Even Lie Mohammed claims BH has been defeated. With which weapons did the army defeat BH? With their bare hands?

It is important we put all these straight so we dont fall for cheap propoaganda by a government that has completely lost its way. The same government that claims they are fighting corruption came out with a terrible corruption laden budget where they intended to connect cables from the President's residence to the drivers residence with N300 million. In fact, the budget of yams was so laden with coruption that they had to shamelessly withdraw it.

The world has changed. If the current government thinks they will continue to rule with propaganda, they should think again because they will be exposed again and again. Thank God for social media and the Internet!

I can never be one of those who are easily fooled by the deceit of this government.

2.1 billion USD was never allocated or approved for arms purchase. This was exactly what GEJ said but some people who dont' seem to ever think or who pretend not to do so for reasons best known to them, are accusing him of lying.

Think about this: Long before the elections, the media was awash with accusations of missing 50 billion/10 billion/20 billion USD first started by the emir. However, almost one year after PMB government, nothing has been said about it. Instead, the noise is about 'security vote' which presidents and governors usually spent according to their discretion.

finally, let me clarify that I will never support corruption by any means. However, I would like all present and former governors of the AD, ACN and APC to tell Nigerians how they spent or are spending their monthly 'security votes'
dat is why dis APC govt will soon consume demselves their own propaganda. am surprise APC ar yet to start shouting about d alleged missing $20 billion noise by sanusi lamido sanusi.

I give up on this generation. In any sane society any government that does not obey court orders is regarded as tyranic but tonyebarcanista with all his claims of knowledge is comfortable with that in twenty first century.

Please leave that propaganda line. I wont fall for it. Nobody is a crook until a court says so. As soon as the court pronounces them as crooks, I will come back here and call them that, you can trust me on that. Until then, I will not call someone a crook because Buhari or the EFCC say they are. On a more general level, I can refer to Nigerian politicians as crooks because we all know that there is corruption in the system. But using that as an alibi to label anyone as corrupt so you can go after them or keep them shut is nothing but tyranical and anti democratic and I will never support that.

The case is already in court, why not wait until the court passes it's verdict?

Truth be told, massive looting occured especially at the tail end of GEJ's administration. I won't be surprised if some of these guys are richer than Goodluck himself. Once again, another assertion that cannot be backed with verifiable data or how did you manage to sum the monies allocated to the NSA, when as you put it, it is security vote, which we all know is not subject to public scrutiny?

My friend your write up is crap and lack credibility.
1. You are not more intelligent than Dasuki lawyers. They never mention security vote.
2. You dont have more information than Dasuki family, lawyers, secretaries etc. how come they never mentioned security vote?

3.********You ask if they didnt buy arms what they are using to fight boko haram?
This is the dumbest question i have ever seen, read or heard.
A BIG COUNTRY LIKE NIGERIA CAN FIGHT BOKO HARAM FOR 20 YEARS WITHOUT BUYING NEW WEAPON. THEY ONLY NEED TO UPGRADE.
WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF MILITARY BARRACKS AND BASES ALL OVER NIGERIA; FILLED WITH AMMUNITION.
i. MILITARY MOVES ARMS FROM ONE BARRACK TO ANOTHER WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF CIVILIANS.
ii. MILITARY BUY ARMS, UPGRADE WITHOUT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT.

For your information; Nigeria acquired more sophisticated arms under Abacha. He was seriously building up war with Cameroon and France simultaneously.
From a reliable military source, OBJ gave some of our arms to some poor African countries and he destroyed many that USA and UN told him that is against UN convention.

SUMMARILY:
PDP regimes weakened our military. I dont know how but they did.

well analysed writeup there! but this raises one or two questions and those are:

Where does the money that was distributed to those people that have been mentioned so far comes from?

Or no money was ever distributed to anybody and the names being mentioned is part of the propaganda?

But mind you, not one of those people, despite realising the implications of the scandal on their political career denied to have collected money from the last administration.
....Nice deductions, but also note that none of them has ever affirmed knowledge of the money being meant for arms.......

You guys have forgotten that it was when PMB set up a panel to probe whether monies budgeted to spent on arms to fight insurgency was used judiciously that all the revelations we have been hearing emerged, we are talking serious matters here and you are trying to be technical by saying that they were security votes, if its security votes, how come falae, dokpesi, obaigbena that are not security contractors benefited from the funds.

Please for once be sympathetic to the plight of the victims of the insurgency and don't let your hatred for PMB and love for GEJ make you a human being without feelings to the down trodden. Thanks and God bless

https://www.thecable.ng/exclusive-dasuki-got-jonathans-approvals-collect-2-1bn-nnpc-9-months

"Sambo Dasuki, former national security adviser, received an extra-budgetary allocation of $2.1 billion from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) within nine months after approvals by former President Goodluck Jonathan, TheCable can report. Dasuki is currently being investigated by the federal government over the billions of dollars released for the procurement of arms for counter-terrorism operations under Jonathan.
Documents seen by TheCable showed the breakdown of NNPC’s disbursements to the office of the NSA as follows:

$1 billion on March 27, 2014;

$200 million on April 9, 2014;

$600 million on May 5, 2014;

and, same day, $200 million following a request for $250 million.

The documents also showed that on January 12, 2015, he got $100 million, bringing the total amount his office received from the NNPC to $2.1 billion within the nine months. "

One of the reason why the NNPC audit report was suppressed and subsequently embargoed

This should put an end to all the unnecessary argument on this thread. The OP is a shameless liar who is here to defend corruption at all cost. No amount of lies and deceit can shake the resolve of this administration to fight corruption to standstill. Dasuki must account for every kobo of the $2.1billion he and Jonathan converted to campaign slush funds. After that, he will be jailed for a very long time. Sorry snailspeed, you tried but your lies found you out. Your attempt at confusing the people is dead on arrival.

BROUGHT FROM PAGE 2:

Perhaps, you don't know how you have shifted from the original subject to commenting on the roles of the player. Perhaps, this may be my last reply to you.

1. First, you claimed that the $2.2billion extra budget for arms was a scam that it was "only" $300m. However, the said $300 million only form a part of the $2.2billion and was repatriated late 2014, while the total sum of the extra-budgetary spending for arms started even before that time.
www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/arms-contracts-payments-endorsed-by-ex-president-jonathan-dasuki/120239.html

This has knocked off your entire argument

2. You claimed that Dasuki didn't mention Dokpesi but Dasuki maintained that all disbursement care ordered by Jonathan(including payment of N10billion to PDP delegates)
https://www.today.ng/news/national/51484/arms-deal-ex-nsa-dasuki-indicts-jonathan-says-he-acted-on-his-instruction

Even Metuh admitted collecting N400million frrom ONSA after doing a "special assignment" for Jonathan.

Thirdly, you have no argument. If you think you do, please, approach the judge.

Fourthly, I have no business to comment whether or not Dasuki really got GEJ's authorisations, that's their own business. They should tell the judge.
wailing wailers can you see this? 99percent of Nigerians are gallantly behind our messiah, the one and only Buhari, the best leader the world has ever seen. grin If you don't like this go kick a bucket. grin

I dont know how but they did.
.......GBAAAMMMMMMMMN! !! cool

And just why should we believe this assertion, especially without a shred of evidence or is your word the final ANSWER?

Once again, another assertion that cannot be backed with verifiable data or how did you manage to sum the monies allocated to the NSA, when as you put it, it is security vote, which we all know is not subject to public scrutiny?

Forget the hype you ascribe to social media as being responsible for blinding Nigerians to the truth. What percentage of Nigerians are active on social media compared to those that aren't internet savvy BUT are abreast of national affairs?
By branding EVERYBODY who "attacks" your opinion as a paid hack or APC zombie, you've inadvertently revealed whose interests you represent. Not all of us have the energy for this childish APC vs PDP brouhaha that has majority of Nigeria's youth in a frenzy angry angry

I was going to raise this point as well, on the one hand he's saying ignore what NSA and EFCC are saying and on the other hand he's saying believe me without any evidence whatsoever. A guy without any known authority comes here and says ignore everyone else that has done some form of investigation but believe me for no reason and people are here supporting. You guys are just out there ready to defend these corrupt guys that don't care about you.

When I said you are not intelligent, you said it was an insult but see now?

First of all Dasuki did not say anywhere that GEJ asked him to give Dopkesi money. That is from the stable of EFCC and APC. Those are the ingredients of propaganda. There is no valid statement from Dasuki so far except for the one released by his lawyer where he denied all the allegations and stated clearly that he has not named anyone as allegded by the EFCC and the media. He has said he will give his own story in court. So you fail woefully

Jonathan cannot give verbal approval for money. That is a cheap propaganda from your kind. Jonathan has said he didnt sign any such $2.2B arms deal yet you keep repeating it as fact, form where, I dont know. Only the courts can finally decide what really transpired on that.

And if Dasuki claim that he got a verbal order to disburse money and carried it out, he will be making a fool of himself because this is not a military regime. This is a democracy. No court will take that as evidence. He will instead be charged with diversion of funds and even theft in this case. You no know book at all

What if Dasuki can prove he got a verbal or documented order to disburse the funds

I will not condemn but rather asked if you or anyone close to you was a victim of the insurgency, will you ever come out with a piece like this? I think we should careful when we try to confuse our personal opinions or experience in discussing very sensitive national matters, GEJ is not that hated as you and your fellow admirers think but the way and and manner you guys confuse very sensitive national matters with how you will feel personally over issues requires some restraint.

Thanks and God bless
.........my dear you are still sounding overtly emotional here and unfortunately that is the whole intent of the propagandists! they want us to stone dasuki and blame him for all boko haram killings, each and every one of us have lost loved ones in the violence going on over there, i have also personally lost a dear one before and i know what it is to go through such sorrow , but that should not deprive us of the need to be objective, insightful and detailed in our analysis of what the government and people that lead us are presenting to us while our economy grinds to a fault. Objectivity is the word. We are blessed
