mhizesta, do not wait till you graduate. I repeat, do not wait till you graduate! As an Economics graduate, you would be exempted from taking two papers only! (Check the attached image) Of what use is that when, through determination and hardwork, you can clear at least the whole Foundation papers before you graduate? For the last time, do not wait till you graduate!

Hello @Esoboy,

You need to know if your school is accredited by ICAN. What is the name of your school? If it is accredited, you will start from application level with 4 papers viz; Perfomance management,Financial reporting, Mgt Gov and ethics, & Public sectors accounting and finance. However, since you intend to write November, you will start by doing student registration. You can pay at any bank, then a month after your student reg number will come out.after this you will applied for exemption and made some payments.
For recommended text book, if you are in lagos, you can buy books like Advanced mgt acctng i.e for performance mgt, Financial reporting made simple by KASMIR, and for Mgt Gov and ethics you will have o use study pack. For PSAF not recommended text book of any such because International public sector accounting standard(IPSAS) frequently changes.

You can download the study packs from ICAN site and print them, then do either soft or hard binding...
I don't think there is any bookshop selling them except ICAN tutorial centres...

sorry to bother u peeps, dnt knw if im drawing u back buh i jez need ansas to some questions.... im a graduate of agriculture, never did anytin relating to accounting or watsoeva. i'm tinking of going into ICAN...pls is this a gud idea or not as i am not familiar wt accounting and tne likes? and do i have to be extremely good in mathematics to pass ICAN?

If you have a basic accounting knowledge from secondary school or else ,, it can be of help,, but if the basic foundation of accounting isn't in you,, the truth is it might be difficult for you to flow along with other colleague during tutorials for ICAN,, which you gat start from foundation... Three stage is in ICAN,, Foundation, skills, professional,, the foundation is where you would start from... If you're a die hard reader,, fact focus one.. You can make it if you make up your mind.. I started 2015 November diet and I passed all d four courses I did at once and I didn't attend any tutorial!

Dia s notin in it... All u nid is 2b focused, dedicated and u nid 2 sacrificie ur time 4 reading...
