Sir, let's exercise caution due to some pull back. Watching the MPC meetings closely grin

What's the implication of the NPC meeting next week in the market. Just paint a scenario from events in the past so we can all learn. Thanks my oga at the top

Let me re-echo your question.

What are the likely decisions from the MPC and what will be their implications on the markets? Devaluation or no devaluation? Floating the currency? etc.

Pls BNSITL come and analyse this matter for us.

chairman.Enough of all these nonsense you guys are insunuating.i am not a broker but paid money into my brokers account for 1,000,000 units of may and baker.i am not the one to do the work.i became worried yesterday as i never gotten any alert and i decided to seek help from our members here only for me to be mocked.

My broker bid only 200,000 units of maybaker at 0.98.They told me this because i told them i was going to deal with them if my stock is not completely purchased the next day which is today.
All these has made me to talk less as i am not here to deceive anyone but to share opinions.

If i have lied that such units is not booked by me for purchase,it is only God who sees in secret that will deal with me.Meanwhile i just received an alert of 61,000 units still hoping to get all before the day is over.

Ok the 61,000 units carries yesterday date.i dont think todays is bought.i warned them to buy at 0.98 and below so that #1,000,000 will be enough to settle everything including charges.

@ Locodemy,

I like your position on May & Baker. I've always considered this as a long term play. I've been accumulating the stock in the past 2 years. Can you please share some of your rational for buying the stock. Thanks

my take is a hold on key policy is to be expected.
1)there wouldn't be devaluation and
2)no changes in MPR and CRR
but if there is to be any changes its going to be

(i)Increase in public sector deposit from 20% to 25%(CRR)
(ii) Retention of MPR @11%
in the first instance market recovery will gradually build but in the second instance the market going down
nb:all external conditions not put into consideration.

Sir, they went to sabbatical leave because they don't want to be caught in the crossfire of bear. And we that don't have nowhere to go, the almighty God will continue to protect and see us through. Don't be surprised if you see them buying in tranches along the line but it will be difficult to disclosed that grin

Mr ever bullish, we are not buying any trench or in tranches. The picture is quite clear that there is recession. I personally can't leave my funds idle in stockmarket for 3yrs to make a kill when it can be deployed to other business with better yield.

let the one that I'm trapped in, be the idle fund for now.

meanwhile Oando amongst other stocks in have, doing itself proud. Stay away from that stock.

from all I know, they have public deposit not governments own.
eg Assuming you an individual put N100m in your account in the bank, CBN policy on CRR states that N20m of the N100m will be kept in CBN.(crr @ 20%)What this means is that the bank only has N80m out of
your money to do business with. So
with TSA and CRR, there is little fund left for banks.
