paschu:Your post just confirms how partisan you are. You are holding brief for public office holders who are know to be corrupt. Well except if one of them is your family members, I dont see why you are really concerned about them. As for the greatest fraud of all time, I dont think its the budget that is yet to be passed, thought it is flawed by the same set of people you crying of their innocence. The DGs, head of parastasals and ministries inflated the budget with their own cuts. 1 Like |

I believe nairaland is a forum to air or say your opinion base on your conviction on an issue. The idea of canceling ones opinion simply because you believe you have a better opinion is in itself wrong. Must l agree with your views. Express your opinion and counter it with superior reasoning if any. With this we learn from each other and shape the country's destiny. |

blackpanda:the day APC lost it is the day that they threw wide their doors to all d hyenas, wolves, vultures, dogs, pigs, bats, nd what others that we call politicians. PMB can't do dis all alone. The corruption in d system is endemic nd cancerous. As one case file is being open, it threw up so much dust that previous cases are buried whn d dust finally settles until a bigger one starts another dust nd burys the current one nd it becomes a chain reaction. |

OLADD:What are you really crying about? Is it the fact that this current administration is really trying to address this issue of corruption where Jonathan and pdp failed or what? |
Re: EFCC To Go After Sacked Director-Generals by authority2006(m): 9:15am On Feb 16, 2016 |
OLADD:There wasn't any fraud in TSA or whatsoever. It was just about the last administration agreeing with one firm to take commission from the revenue which Melaye considered too much. And it has been addressed, I think so. |

Either Tuesday or Thursday there must be a fresh news of fraud from the stable of APC to make the gullible ones discuss till end of the week. Meanwhile, the economy is begging for attention. We should be fighting these war simultaneously. Not directing all energies on corruption |

free2blast: Exactly my point. ...thought it is flawed by the same set of people you crying of their innocence. The DGs, head of parastasals and ministries inflated the budget with their own cuts. The question is why did your super saint present the budget TWICE for approval?. Of course you'd say he did not know, and I'd ask you why should someone who cannot scrutinize a national budget continue to be president? And if the current victims of tyranny and nepotism were actually responsible for the fraudlent budget, why were they not indicted for it? Why are they getting tagged because of what they allegedly did during the 2015 elections? Why are they not getting crucified for inflating the budget? Again, if you actually choose to sack them because of their involvement in sabotaging the budget, what then happenes to their SENIOR officers, the ministers who aporoved it, and the ALLRIGHTEOUS "head of state" who presented it? Or are those ones in PDP too? You just chose to close your eyes to the fact that this is nothing but a drive to create more political rooms that will be used to compensate APC loyalists for their efforts in 2015. Nothing else. And as usual, as is common with this administration, nothing will come out of the baloon allegations of corruption being thrown around. |

blackpanda:PMB's greatest obstacles in the fight against corruption can be summed up into 4 categories. 1. Judiciary ( judges nd lawyers) one major obstacle dat dis nation currently face in the fight again corruption are the judges nd lawyers. Nigerian lawyers ve successfully mastered the cunning tricks of stall prosecution/judgements as well as a good ability in pin pointing numerous loops holes that exist in our laws. D judges re even worsep. 2. Our Laws (outdated) Nigeria laws that shld be effective in d fight against corruption are either outdated or full of loop holes nd loose ends. No wonder our corrupt politicians loot d country blind nd then engage d services of a good lawyer. Even whn d law is clear on punishments, it's a mere slap in the wrist. 3. APC members nd defectors. Let's face reality, majority of APC members are also corrupt while those that defected only do so because the PDP umbrella is already on fire nd is no longer safe. So they are just coming to APC to find a safe haven. These guys nd ladies aren't progressives at all. 4. OTHERS (ethnicity, enthnic Bigotry, Tribalism, religion etc) several times, we've heard d word "witch-hunting" nd i always tell people that it's only a witch that should be afraid of a witch hunter. How do u successful convince our brothers nd sisters from d SE nd SS dat there is no witch hunting in place. How abt d christians nd moslems, how do we tell them that corruption knows no religion. We ve to rise above these vices if the president is to succeed in dis war against corruption. The truth be told, president buhari has his hands full on this nd needs our prayers nd supports. God bless Nigeria 2 Likes |

Do not worry about that okay... This is the first face off... And the beginning of a challenge. Even in academics if there's no challenges student wouldn't take some certain things serious... When the party start probing theirselves ( In each of their term in government ) then they will all sit tight and minimize corruption if it can't be completely eradicated... authority2006: Oga, we all know what corruption has done and is still doing to dis country. It is glaring and stares us in d face everyday but my point is dat d govt may not really b sincere about the so-called corruption war as some of them are still involved in so much. It's getting really annoying when everyday all u hear is "EFCC traces dis" "EFCC indicts dat" and a couple of days later u hear denials and counter denials. So far it's only in d papers we read and hear about these allegations. It becomes even more embarrassing d so-called damning facts and evidence dey seem to have collected and gathered but then u begin to wonder what is holding dem from going to trial. A serious minded approach would have been to prosecute dem and let d evidences speak for themselves in the court of law so dat all would b justified. As for the Budget bros, since it is being alleged dat d budget submitted isn't the original draft and was intentionally messed up, why exactly are dey still canvassing for it to b passed?? Why hasn't d executive officially notified d Senate about such and requested for a withdrawal so d real draft can b reforwarded. Except dis is the only draft and dey probably didn't check If it's good for d goose, it's suppose to work jus fine for d gander. These are some of the issues I find disturbing and find d fact dat some people only know how to insult and rain abuses instead of being logical is even more disturbing. |
