Kejibabe, depends on you and your plans.
For example if time/age is not by your side, you will not want to wait 3 years, or if the child didnt survive.
If your previous child is fussy and needs attention or you are still quite young, you may not mind waiting 3 years.
My friend had her VBAC 1yrs and 6 months after her CS.
I had my VBAC 3yrs and 3 months after my CS.
So I dont think there is a specific time. It all depends on you.

@GailyO4, I made inquiries at sterling clinic and their fees goes thus; ANC- 40k, Vjay delivery - 60k... askd for CS and they said they dnt hv a fixed price dat it depends on ur case.

Thanks PresVa, Omojudy, omaibaji, mitchyy, Rofemiguwa, nggie and everyone, your prayers and encouragement really keeps me going these days.

So I went to see the gynae yesterday. He didn't even check me. When he checked my card and I explained what happened, the bleeding, the clots. He just said it's an incomplete miscarriage and I should come to his own specialist clinic for evacuation the next day. No explanation, nothing. He gave us his card, wrote address, that we should come with plenty money. I asked him that what could have caused it, that will he check me to see if it's complete or not. He said I shouldn't ask too much questions, that even in England, when he talks they listen bla bla bla. *England ko, Egbeda ni, mtschw* That my husband should come too, so that they will check him too and do sperm test and analysis. That until we come to his clinic and pay before he can go further in doing anything with us. That card is N2000 & we shd call him later in the day for him to tell us the price of other things. And that was all. His attitude was just so unpleasant. Just seemed to be about the money. We just left. Nonsense. Am I not a patient? After paying consultation fee, cant you explain anything to me? Dh was so pissed he tore the man's card to pieces. I left that office more upset than when I entered. If not for the explanation from this thread, I'll just be confused. I called a family friend who's a gynea but based in Federal Hospital, Umuahia & explained everything. And he said, at this point, the gynae doesn't need to check my hubby, that its in case of infertility, which is not the case here. That the gynae suppose to check me i.e pelvic exam and send me for scan to check if there is any remaining tissue. But that from my explanation, he almost feels that I have expelled everything and no need for evacuation but that next week I should go and do a scan to check if there's any remaining tissue. If there is, that's only when evacuation is needed. I just came home and slept jare.

I just tire o. I'm never going back there!

I'm not against evacuation. I know two friends who each had miscarriage, one needed evacuation, the other didn't need it. They're both pregnant with their second baby. So I know that evacuation is not automatic after miscarriage. But if need be, I'm willing to do it for my rainbow babies but not under someone who wants to take advantage of me. Meanwhile, I will do another scan next week to know how far while I search for another hospital.

Anyone who can direct me to any good hospital around the island, Ajah, Lekki area. Has anyone used General Hospital, Akodo? How is it please?

Someone suggested RJolad at Gbagada, but the distance... But if worse comes to worst, I have no choice. Those using it, please how is it? Antenatal, gynae stuff, price etc

Also, please mamas who had blighted ovum or miscarriage, did they do sperm analysis for your Dh before you conceived again?

It's well Cheerychy. . Your doctor friend told you right. . You need a scan to confirm whether evacuation is needed or not..preferably after 2 weeks; from the day you started bleeding...

Well for me, my husband did no analysis. . then, scan showed everything was alright with me... no treatment received, we just continued 'kpetusing'...

However, I don't know whether quality of sperm has anything to do with blighted ovum...

Mine happened much earlier, at about 6weeks. ..

@ CheeryChy, God is in control. In my own case I did evacuation coz it happened in my 12th week and scan was showing empty gestational sac and d blood was jst coming out bit by bit. Just like ur gynae friend suggested u can carry out scan first. Sperm and egg quality do contribute to blighted ovum(not in all cases) however dat doesn't mean ur next pregnancy ll end d same way. In our own case hubby's Sfa was so poor, low count,motility and morphology. But everything is in d past now,it has improved tremendously and I carry a viable pregnancy.

Yes. Sometimes it is the quality and not quantity of sperm produced that is the problem. Bad sperm = bad foetus= the body sees it as not good and gets rid of it.

@cherrychy, I did evacuation my hubby was not tested, I had two miscarriages but did evacuation for only the last one and to God be the glory I am almost due now. Just go to another hospital,do a scan then they will tell you if there is need for evacuation or not.

1. 5 cloves garlic.
2. 2 inches ginger
3. Juice of 1 lemon.
Blend with 1 cup of hot water, drink as tea on empty stomach, for 5-7days. Dont worry u wont taste d raw garlic, cos lemon neutralizes its taste n smell.
It will cleanse ur system as a natural antibiotic remedy.
It is well with u.
