I agree curry was harassed and his rhythm was messed with but what about Klay ?nobody blitzed him.

Most times our offense flows around Curry and Green. If both of them are tied down for most of the time, then we begin to choke offensively. We played quite good defense hence the tight scoreline but from beginning when the Spurs dictated the pace especially with slowing the tempo and feeding the post we had too much issues to handle.

However credit must be given to Pop and the Spurs for putting on a defensive clinic on how to stop Golden State

I have noticed Steph tends to get shook when his shots don't start falling early. Playing suffocating D on him sometimes throws him off balance and he starts missing shots he usually makes. Happened last year's finals, vs Lakers when Kobe decided to guard him and on Saturday night

The problem is can you keep this up in 7 games over 14 days or less? With Parker guarding Curry or Kawhi guarding but needing to score on the other end? What happens when you play excellent defense and these guys just start making their shots.

We would get a clearer picture after the two games left between these guys. One more thing Pop showed is that using the small ball can work provided you have the personnel

I am not even bothered that spurs won. But the way they won is what coach pop should be bothered about. That type of hard defense has a disadvantage, and that is fatigue. You tend to wear out rapidly. Every time the clock was stopped, you could see spurs players hold their knees. They were gassed. For eg Dellovadova on curry last finals . Come on they started defending from the full court. I don't think it's possible to keep that up in a 7 game series. I love Golden state Warriors because the team is built upon playing smart basketball to playing hard basketball.

It is not about if the spurs can play like that for seven games, it is about how many games they would play before they get to the conference finals, and how many games the warriors plays.
If any team succeeds to push the spurs to seven games, there might be a problem, and i am afraid some team might. If dallas meets with spurs, i would not expect an easy win over dallas, although they will win. Carlise always seems to know how to play the spurs.

I think the reason why dellavadova got tired early was because he was the only one that could stay on curry. If you watch the spurs game, for the few seconds i did. It was a lot of switching between green, Parker, and kawhi, although parker did most of the job. When we look at the spurs, all their guards can stay on curry. All of them.

We all know if you disrupt curry's flow early on in the fourth quarter, the team struggles. It has always happened.
