Please I want to ask this question so that I won't be hooked up at the middle of my work.the occupation I want to be assessed on is not on SOL rather CSOL and its been nominated by SA.
But my fears right now is that its under special conditions that is the yellow mark.please how can I cross this bridge because the conditions under occupation with special is something that one may not be able to scale through.how can I be able to get 85 points.pls how can this be possible.

Please all the gurus in the house pls i need your help here.

Raking 85 points is something I've personally not seen, neways you can manage it.
Firstly how old are you?
How many years working experience do you have?
what is your highest qualification?
Can you score a minimum 79 across all bands in PTE exam or Proficient IELTS to guarantee you 20 points?
Can you get a state to nominate you?

All this questions needs to be answered by you. Check skillselect.gov.au, then see how the points are calculated vis a vis the criteria I listed there. Then you'll know where you stand or the no of points you are likely to accumulate.

Thanks for the reply
I have already calculated it but is not up to 85

B.sc-15 point
Age-30 point
Skill qualification - 5 points by Gods grace.5 Years work exp
English test 10 points
State -5 points
All 65 points

Honestly i dont know what to do because the two occupations i am supposed to nominate is under special condition SA

You can't claim points for work experience until you've been assessed, cos some assesing bodies reduce no years of experience.

More so, where did you read you'll need 85 points before you'll be able to be eligible for visas? The most sought after occupations now which is accountant, ICT, are the only ones that points for invitation being raised to 70 for 189 visas. All others still remains 60 for both 189 and 190. And with 60 points, you have good chances of being nominated by a state offering the occupation.
Don't give yourself unnecessary headache of 85 points, instead look if you meet the requirements of the state to nominate you. 85 points to me is just .............

greetings everyone!

I would like some clarification regarding, claiming maximum points for superior English.

I've got L 8.5, W 8.0, S 8.5 & R 7.0 in IELTS this is an overall of 8.0

with the score above, can I get 20 points? or I have retake it and must score 8,8,8,8.

This confusion is as a result of what they stated about superior English..." have at least 8 across all bands"

just want to be sure if it is the overall band score, or I must have 8 in each band.

Frankly I'm hoping I don't have to take this IELTS again.

God bless our hustles!

he has no problem provided he can write his cdr and get positive assessment from EA. Hence EA don't really use work experience for assessment.

As at Friday, the exchange rate via GTB Mastercard was about 221naira to 1 AUD. It used to be about 130, but there was a huge jump.

Greetings to y'all and to Bellong for a nice job weldone!
As we all know the economic implication of the 573 visa subclass, my question is if it's possible, within the 573 visa period of 2yrs to switch to the 189 or 190 before the end of the 2 yrs. This means you have to be in Australia to do this and without any intention of claiming points on work experience. Does anyone know how possible this might be and whatever implications it might have?
Regards to y'all

You need to check the minimum qualification to practice as a marine scientist or any related occupation. If it says diploma is needed, good otherwise you need to complete your bachelor degree before going ahead with the process.

The following occupations have been removed from SOL list 2016-2017:

-Minning Engineer
-Petroleum Engineer
-Metallurgist
-Environmental Officer
-Occupational Health and Safety Officer.

Be guided in your decision of course to study in Australia. Although, the occupations are still on CSOL list which means you need to be sponsored. The question is, how many states and regions are sponsoring?

Seniors in the house, please help a sister
I am 30 years, studied English at the University and wrote IELTS last year. score is 7.5. I have 8 years work experience in the bank and calculated my score to 65. am I right? I have checked job descriptions oooo and nothing comes close. someone advised me to apply for my masters and go on a 573 visa class. does this make economic sense. I have been trying to read up on that visa class but the info out there is vague. someone should kindly come to my rescue.

In anticipation...

Any positive dev yet?
