After destroying their lives for suspecting them erroneously. You now give them 3,000 naira to go. If they had the means they should sue the Nigeria Army and the Federal government for this.

What is 3,000 to people who were once brain washed into terrorism?,what kind of business will they set up with 3,000 that will make their lives more comfortable?.

Suspects were arrested, found innocent and realised, is that difficult for you to understand? Did you brain wash them? Yes N3k is small, maybe just transport back home, but why did you say the Govt is confused? Just give an explanation, talk is cheap.
herbie27:

Why announce their arrest when you will eventually release them with 3,000 each?, without any form of rehabilitation.
What about those that died in the cause of terrorism?.
The government is indeed confuse.

You are supposing, they NA just arrested them for fun to release them later, what inanity on your part. Let me remind you, most of them were arrested during GEJ’s era.

Your argument is disjointed sef, make I go back to business jare

Yes N3k is small, maybe just transport back home, but why did you say the Govt is confused? Just give an explanation, talk is cheap. It has always been a confused one, a government of trial and error, why arrest over 200plus persons as suspects?, detail them for how long only God knws, if is not a confused one.

Yesterday, a total of 249 cleared suspected Boko Haram terrorists and accomplices were released by the Joint Interrogation as approved by the Chief of Army Staff in Maiduguri.

Those cleared and released include 169 males, 46 women and 34 children. Further breakdown shows that 203 of them were from 18 Local Government Areas of Borno State, while 44 were from other States as follows; Adamawa 2, Jigawa 2, Lagos 1, Oyo 1 and Yobe 38. However, 2 of them were from the Republic of Cameroon.

The released persons were handed over to Borno State government through the Commissioner for Local Government by the Acting General Officer Commanding 7 Division, Brigadier General Victor Ezugwu. The two foreigners were however handed over to the Borno State Command of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

In his remarks, the Commissioner advised the released detainees to remain law abiding and go about their lawful businesses. He also commended the effort of the military in the fight against terrorism and insurgency and respect for human rights as manifested in the painstaking efforts that led to their clearance and subsequent release. Each of them was given a token of N3,000 each.

Thank you for your kind cooperation.

How do you release these murderers without cause but still not want to dialogue with Biafrans and Avengers who have been unjustly treated? Soon there will be an upsurge in violence in the NE and people start wondering why we cant defeat the namas. Now you know why.

Does anyone know if the husband of the recently rescued Chibok girl, who could not speak English even though she was writing WAEC, is also among those released?

BTW, when will our president release the remaining girls as he promised us?

I am sure the are.Do you know that some of them were caught with bomb making materials, suicide vests and informants?Do you also know that some of these suspects were caught when they were about to detonate explosives wrapped on their body?Where are those one?Why are they not charge to court?
And how are you sure it is the ones who strapped explosives that have just been released?... Just the same way soldiers jumped into Oporoza and started arresting people indiscriminately in their search for Tompolo, does that make the people arrested guilty?

You are also aware that the Nigerian Army have been releasing statement that they arrested bokoharam with bomb materiald.Next day, another suspects who supplies food and fuel to bokoharam were arrested. You should also know that they told the public that they arrested quite a number of female underage suicide bombers with most of them on a mission to carryout suicide attack. After that,we don't see or hear how they are prosecuted.Afterwards, the same army will start releasing them. What does that tells you?

This is not the first time we're hearing of hundreds of suspects being released after being cleared; this isn't also going to be the last. What this trend tells me is that a large number of people (much more innocent ones than the guilty) are held in military custody for months and years (without trial); this shouldn't be surprising for anyone who is truly a Nigerian. You are jumping the board by assuming the people being released are the guilty ones; with what the military has gone through in the hands of BH, I dont need a soothsayer to tell me our equally blood thirsty soldiers would happily slit the throats of the confirmed guilty ones before any form of trial or whatever.

Are you 100% sure these released guys are the murderers?... Are you new to Nigeria?... Are you new to the mode of operation of Nigeria's security operatives where they just drive into a community and arrest every living thing (including livestock)?

Here is a thread which sprung up this morning about security operatives arresting a large number of male and female criminals in Calabar; can you stake even a measly N100 that up to 5% of these people in the photos are criminals?
https://www.nairaland.com/3232096/photos-men-women-arrested-calabar

You see some people prefer they are all killed or incarcerated because of hatred and tribalism. If it was there kins kept like that over a year because of suspicion and then allowed to go after nothing was found against them they would have being shouting all over. The NA and the FGN leadership are tyrants. Somehow for the kind people in Nigeria.

The People were arrested wrongly kept illegally because someone feels he wants to interrogate them longer and never did so for several months only to do so now and find out they are not guilty as suspects. Release them looking frail and deprived. Yet you open your stinking mouths to wish instead they were killed.
