sunkky83:Yeah,they hating on the North and want others to join them, forgeting that the pinhead Lord Lugard had skewed almost everything in favour of the Northeners. Even his Lieutenant-Governor of the then Northern Protectorate wanted Nigeria divided, but the lazy man disagreed. That's why you have to build bridges with the Arewas once Nigeria remains one, like the Yorubas are doing(till the time is ripe to bail out);they call this servitude,ass-licking etc. Now that they find it difficult to be politically relevant, and their secession move is yet to be actualised, they go about harassing others. 2 Likes |

Erosion is claiming the East at a fast rate and you busy composing Jargon's about the West. You should have invested more of your time in researching on how to counter Erosion, poverty, backwardness and Drug trafficking. Lagos na your Land? You talking about Lagos when there is outrightly nothing to boast off in the East. I mean NOTHING i.e Not even one sky scrapper 3 Likes |

My Bro, Please desist from making utterances like this as it is capable of igniting hatred and tension. Yes! I am a fully blooded Igbo guy and will support any course that will orchestrate a new dawn in Biafra land in terms of human and capital development. But the process that will lead to such emancipation must be civil and not crisis prone. God bless! RichYoungNigga: 1 Like |

These Yorubas are something else: Did you know that. NSA Dasuki kept N2.4 billion with Obadina, Aluko and Co made more money than Diazenni, Most of Jonathans money is with Tunde Ayeni, Babangidas money is with Mike Adenuga. Yorubas made more money during Jonathans period than any other people. They are just so trust worthy that every one wants to do business with them. 2. Did you know that Lagos GDP has exceeded $100 billion, accounting for more than 20% of the total GDP of the biggest economy in Africa. It is estimated that with the with the $2 billion MAERSK port at Badgry, the Eko Atlantic, The Lagos rail project, The Snake Island Port and Tank and the famous $17 billion Refinery, Fertilizer, Petro Chemical and Power plant, Lagos economy will exceed $200 billion by 2020. As a matter of fact the SW economy will account for 50% of the nations GDP by 2025.Lets keep wailing and calling them cowards. Yorubas are not agitating for anything, they carry a begging bowl telling everyone just come and invest in Yoruba land. Ogun state has just been announced as the richest state after Lagos with the largest increase in IGR in 12 months. Ogun state is developing so rapidly and preparing for the spill over from Lagos. Who wants to do business with an angry and violent person? Who will trust the presidency of this nation in the hands of bad losers and wailers? THESE YORUBAS ARE COWARDS. COWARDS INDEED? ALL FOREIGN INVESTMENTS TO SOUTH EAST WILL CEASE UNTIL THE ISSUE OF BIAFRA IS RESOLVED, PENDING, THE BEAUTIFUL BRIDE IS SOUTH WEST. I WONT BE SURPRISED IF YORUBA ARE FINANCING THE BIAFRA STRUGGLE. 11 Likes 1 Share |

uupgrade: Just imaging! NIGERIA A COUNTRY OF HYPOCRITES!!! A woman was beheaded for allegedly blaspheming the name Muhammed (S. A. W) some months back. No women protest. Another one was butchered and killed like a cow just because she was only exercising her right to religion by preaching the word of God ( May his name be praised forever) No women group protest to condemn the barbaric act. Now, just because a Man merely threatened to beat and impregnate a woman just because she is highly placed. A group of various toothless women Screaming out the top roof. Planning a big rally to protest a mere threat. When are we people going to stop being hypothetical about issues? Is an harmless threat to Remi Tinubu more important than lives of those women terminated without a course? I have said mine, abuse me, its left for you. |

If I talk now dem go begin wail. Why do some Igbos like meddling? We have our issues worse than Yorubas but we leave them feeling wiser than Yoruba. Noise making is not equivalent to courage and secession is not solution to bad governance. Let us learn to mind our business mbok. 1 Like |

RichYoungNigga: Hello Son, Whats your gain buying lands in other places when your region is outrightly out of place. Mind you...Have toured the whole East and there is nothing to boast about. You keep exporting your younger ones outside your region cos you know is land locked and nothing profitable can come out of it. Dont you think Dangote can buy the whole East if allowed to? Put more strength in developing your red mud region and stop encroaching. Moreover, You re only adding to the West`s IGR when you patronizing there properties. At the rise of Biafra. You will be TAXED as foreigners and that will TRIPLE our IGR. You re always welcomed anywhere in the WEST. Keep buying our jungles and swamps 1 Like |

The problem of silence is a national problem.our people are not ready to decimate information as a result of fear.no one can be trusted with our security.look at what is happening in ikorodu where people are forced to flee their home or a king that was abducted or kidnapped. |

Henrydone: I don't see my post as an abuse of the southwest. What I posted above are same things I say to my southwest friends when we have political discussions. I was merely supporting the OP's position, a truth that the erstwhile firery southwest has been unusually docile over the past year on many vexing issues. It surely wasn't my intention to insult anyone. Honestly go through my post again and point out where you felt insulted. I apologize in advance. |

The Writer of this piece and all those ignoramuses lending their voice in support are all just seething with Hatred towards the Yoruba tribe. As someone had posted, Yorubas are a very civil and Urbane group, the most culturally rich and sophisticated tribe in Africa. When your fathers were still living in clans and tiny hamlets, Yoruba City States were already so large transcending present day Benin Rep., Togo and Ghana with a well developed societal system that respected institutions and promoted the dignity of man. That we are very patient and civil enough to allow Law enforcement take control and not resort to mere noise making or violent protests that will get poor youths killed, doesn't mean that we will not fight back when we are pushed to the wall. Don't forget that the unending violence in the Western Region was one of the causative factors of the first coup d'etat in Nigeria. It was the dogged fight of mainly Yoruba opposition groups that put up a good fight against Abacha's government. Where other tribes were quick to pally with the repressive government because of their belly, we stood against any government that had pushed us to the wall. We are always the bride to be 'wooed' if any government will make sense. When we are poised for a retaliation, NO ONE CAN STOP US., Not even Muhammadu Buhari! Buhari's government will still be good to go as long as the Yorubas are behind him, irrespective of the number of IPOD protests, NDA bombings or Boko Haram Strikes. But the day Yorubas arise in anger, Buhari's government will go down 2 Likes |

plaetton: Gosh! What a rant. and unfortunate it's coming from a people that their adopted son was going from one church to the other in the weeks leading to the election, a people that their adopted son NEVER completed a single project in their region. Why don't you guys channel your hatred & rants into positive energy to develop your regions, and make it an envy of other regions? right now, the 'silent' southwest is the major destination of choice for investments. If you guys do that, I'm sure the bile in your guts would subside to a manageable level. |

In this country, ethnic slants and prejudices have become so common from a certain sector. For selfish or other reasons they have promoted a divisive regional agenda over the common Nigerian vision. Op probably didn't hear anything because he was looking for the wrong things- ethnic and religious interpretations of events. FYI, many Yorubas spoke out. They just didn't posture as a persecuted people. |

Dear Mr Azuka Onwuka, The Strange happenings in the South East has not abated still and have not been adressed 1) 9.5 in every other drug-related crime is committed by a southeasterner 2) Baby factories and child trafficking is a cool business in the region 3) ill-gotten wealth is still an ambition for a great majority 4) Robbery, Kidnapping has already become a sector in the region's economy 5) Hatred-mongering and infection, especially for the Yorubas is on the high side 6) Mass Exodus to other regions to 'develop' and occupy without recourse to investing at home or patronizing their own ... Shouldn't the South East Elders speak to this issues? Something is definitely wrong with this region 2 Likes |

sunnyb0b0:. When the pastor's wife was killed in Abuja, Tinubu, Fashola, Aregbesola, Lai Mohammed & co could not say anything because they now belong unlke when they were in opposition & criticised everything the government was doing including the good ones. It may also interest you to note that the names I mentioned are all Muslims & could not have criticised the killing of the pastors wife in Abuja. The government itself came to be because of the alliance between the muslim north & muslim south west. The rest of us fell for the trap without looking deep. Forget about Osinbajo, he didn't get the office on the back of his political strength. He is vp, but dances to the music played by those who brought him. |

At topic. The ipob writer at his bigoted old age know so much about Yoruba people, but still clueless about Yoruba people at the same time. Yoruba people don't dance to other people's song, we are not paranoid or emotional robots like Igbos and we don't make silly, thoughtless and irrational decisions, we don't go around destroying and blowing up our communities. Our actions are always guided by principles, sound judgment and prudent strategies. This is why we are ahead of you all. We are not like you, we are not sentimental, paranoid and emotionally crased Igbos. 1 Like |

mrteee:Seriously dude, do you honestly think this OP is just another rant against you or your region? If so, then you have obviously not been reading, or have failed to comprehend the relevant issue. My post, as well as the OP, are full of acknowledgements for the firery spirit and bravery of southwest Intelligentia of the not too distant past. We are simply wondering what has changed over the last one year ? It is a very valid and very sincere question. Perhaps you can answer that question for us ? But if you have not noticed anything, any changes, if you are not bothered by the very conspicuous silence in the face of national calamities, then kindly sleep on. |
