Follow up response got from EA. Dear xxxx , Thank you for your email. Your degree needs to be closely related to the field of Engineering you are applying for. We will be looking at your subjects completed and also how you have addressed all of the elements of the summary statement in your career episodes. Any additional work experience in the area of Engineering that you are applying for will assist you in preparing your career episodes, however a Skill Assessment is an assessment of your qualifications. Please ensure you understand the role of an Agricultural Engineer set by the Department of Immigration in the SOL list via the link I sent in my last email. We do not offer a pre assessment so you will need to read through section C of the MSA booklet to see what is required in preparing your career episodes. Kind regards, Nadia Azy1223: 1 Like |

Now I am thoroughly confused. It seems it is a 50 / 50 chance for those of us that have qualification in one engineerign course and want to nominate another engineering profession. Please if you have successfully go through this please share your experience and your particular circumstances. I will really appreciate it. Don't want to waste the money I can put it to better use in another alternative I have. cc: Humanshadow |

Its just like I told u earlier, if what u studied is not related to the nominated occupation it wont fly. but if u have enough years of experience to make up for the absence of the core engineering courses related to the occupation it should fly. I dont know how many years of experience r required for this. I got this info from NNBB2012 cos I studied petroleum engineering but I've been working as a chemical engineer and wanted to nominate chemical engineering, he first asked me how many years of experience I have and when I told him he said I should rather nominate petroleum engineering and use ITs and projects to writ my CDR to avoid getting engineering technologist outcome by nominating chemical engineering. In summary, if u want to do this cos of the points u hope to get from work experience, I'll really encourage u to gather the max points from english test and nominate an occupation with tasks closely related to ur first degree. Or u can explore the other option u said u have. Azy123: |

ausarchive: I advice you use the Company name stated on your employment letter. Your employer is not the multinational but the contracting firm. This is my candid opinion. |

I advice you change your passport to your husbands name as long as you're including him in the application. It just avoids unnecessary requests for additional documents from case officers. My thought. |

chuckdee13:What does d highlighted mean? U have to nominate an occupation like For example under pet engineering u can nominate drilling or completions or subsea or cementing... Something like that right? My questions are plenty.. Cos I'm trying to understand it all. my hussy is offshore presently working so I'm trying to gather as many info as possible ( considering I'm not even an engineer) |

The proof of employment you have is good enough. I didn't provide that much though... In my case, Employment Letters, Payslips(4 for each year), Reference Letters from company, IBTC Pension Statement from the first year of work till present. |

firsttymum: While uploading documents to immigration website (after your invitation to apply), you'll see "Superannuation" in the drop down list as evidence of employment. Superannuation is same as PFA. PFA is a strong proof you were actually working as your pension would be deducted from your salary before you receive your pay.... This was my case and I believe so many other people can attest to this. In my situation, I uploaded my pension summary. It reflected the companies I worked for and the contributions made. In my experience. Everything you tell immigration should correlate, that's all they want. 1 Like |

Occupations usually have unit groups with the first 4 digits of the anzsco code being the same. for pet eng the closely related occupation is mining eng. its not broken down into the specializations u mentioned though some occupations have specializations listed. to see tasks of occupations go to www.anzscocode.com Without prior knowledge, I'll even consider u an engineer ![]() Ur doing a great job. firsttymum: 1 Like |
By preggers you mean pregnant? You may want to checkout scroollmeout's post when he got his grant. I also was in that shoe. When it began obvious that my wife was gonna put to birth here in Nigeria, we put the application on hold and when the baby arrived, we added him to the application; that way it is free otherwise if you get the grant and you still deliver outside Australia, na long thing as you will have to pay for child visa. Also if you are pregnant, you won't be able to complete your medicals (xray). So you may allow the application to run along until you are invited then you put it on hold. To do this, you will write to your CO attaching an evidence eg pregnancy test. Please can you give further explanation on the emboldened? Are you saying they wont be charged the visa application fee of $900 each? |

This applies only to babies born after you have received an invitation to apply AND the decision on your application is not yet out. You have to pay for your babies.

|

Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 9:35pm On Jul 27, 2016 |
Cecegal: Because it is still on the CSOL list with New South Wales sponsoring it. It is on schedule 2 on Western Australia's list which means you must have a job offer before being invited. English test is not the only requirement to claim spousal point. Your spouse must also do a skill assessment from the occupation list as you. |
