mctowel01: It is the prerogative of your assessor to waive the IELTS/TOEFL requirements... But I can assure you; They'll demand English Test from you. It is always better to provide all requested documents than attempting to rely on waivers. There are lots of people with complete requirements that still get negative outcomes so just do all it takes once and for all. 1 Like |

Guitarlife:EA requires minimum of 6 in ielts, so you re good to go there If you fast track your application, you can get it between 2-3weeks. Though, i ve heard of those who got theirs in a week, but its rare. Your EA positive assessment is valid for 3years You can go ahead with your cdr now, at least to get hold of your assessment results, then proceed with upping your English test results later. |

ebimarian:For vetassess assessment, there's no fixed deadline until you are contacted by ur case officer, but my candid advice is for you to gather all the required documents before applying for the assessment. Cheers |

ebimarian: Please I am also new here. I have read a lot over some hours now. Please I want to start the process but my point on 189 with my current IELTS band 7 will only give me 50 points. I think I need to take the PTE Test first to earn more point. I have HND and BSC Accounting and MBA and have both accounting and banking experiences. How do I verify my certificate and experience. Many thanks. |

Good day house, please I have two questions. 1) I have MSc degree from a university in the UK. Declaring it will set me back with some point as I won't be able to claim points for work experience before I started the MSc prog. Must I declare it or not? I rem Bellong typed that one should just use BSC degree for the assessment. My occupation is on SOL list to be assessed by ACR of which to qualify for 189 you need 70 pts 2) after my MSc prog in 2009 I stayed in the UK for few years before coming back to Nigeria. If am not declaring my MSc Degree do I have to give details of my stay in the uk after 2009 and police report from the uk on form 80 and other forms after ITA if I am only declaring BSc degree to claim more points for work experience? Or not necessary. @bellong and other gurus that have been successfully granted. Thanks |

Not declaring ur Msc to get points from work experience only concerns ur assessing body. When it comes to visa application u need to say all u have and everywhere u have been. so I'll advise u start the process to get ur police report from the UK in case it takes time. adaytee: 1 Like |

cuteannie02: Reading your post on this thread has been a motivation to me. I feel very encouraged when I saw that you received a positive assessment from the same assessing body (VETASSESS) and in the same field that I intend going for and now your ITA, hence I seek your support in the way of information. I finished with a second class upper division in Agricultural Economics & Extension Services from a federal university in Nigeria. I sent you a PM hoping that I could ask you some questions through the medium. 1. Did you finish from a Nigerian university? If yes please how did you address the transcript to VETASSESS and which courier service did you use? Was it your school that sent it directly to them or you received from school and send to them? Please, if you don't mind, elucidate on how you went about it. 2. (a) Did they call you for further interview about the job experience which you claimed or anything else? (b) Did you include your NYSC under the experience? (c) If I have less than 5 years experience on the field but up to 3 years do you think it will be a problem? (d) Besides payslip and an employment reference letter that you uploaded did they requested that you add any additional proof? (e) How many months payslip did you submit online? (f) Was the payslip in sequence or was it selected from different years? (g) If I will like to add my bank statement, how many months do you think will be accepted as the minimum? 3. Please if you don't mind which of the skills did you go for? ***Please feel free to skip any of my questions which you don't feel comfortable with. I also know that many of my questions has been answered before now just that i want a first hand answer from you. Meanwhile, I still wish I'll be able to talk to you off Nairaland through mail or any other medium but that will be if you oblige me. Thanks |

ugsams: I can answer as I came to Australia based on a similar occupation and qualification. 1. Your school has to send it directly to VETASSESS. Nigeria and Pakistan are the only 2 countries that have to do that...go figure. My uni was kind enough to even include a certified copy of my certificate in the transcript envelope. So I didn't have to pay to send my certificate myself. I've forgotten the name of the courier company that was used, but it wasn't DHL or Fedex or one of the big names. It got there in 5working days and my school gave me the tracking number. It is no biggie actually, I'm sure you are not the first person to have them send a transcript overseas. 2a. I wasn't called, neither was my employer. But it depends sha. They might call, and they might decide to not call. 2b. You can include NYSC experience. It counts. My NYSC experience wasn't relevant though, but I still included it in my application...as you need to explain any gaps in employment. 2c. It won't be a problem, depending on your occupation. The required experience needed by vetassess is 1-3yrs post qualification, depending on what category your occupation is, and your profile. So for example, Agric. Consultant is category A, and requires a highly relevant qualification plus 1yr experience at least.....while a category b occupation might not require a highly relevant qualification, but lets you make up for it in work experience (2 or more years). 2d. All I submitted was payslips and reference letter. They might request for more evidence, and they might not. It is really at their discretion. 2e. The unwritten rule for payslips is - Your very first one (to confirm when you truly started), a couple in the middle (maybe 2/3 per each year of work), and then your very last one before submitting your application (to show you still work there). 2f. See 2e 2g. See 2e...replace payslips with bank statements. 3. Agricultural Consultant. P.S - Do yourself and the Vetassess Assessor a favour...merge similar pdf files into one. e.g all payslips or bank statements into one single file. 3 Likes |

ugsams: Hi, coincidentally I also nominated agric consultant, yes I finished from a Nigerian federal uni too I didn't include my nysc as I don't have any evidence to show that it was a paid employment My school sent d transcripts via courier, am not sure my certificate was included, however I uploaded a scanned copy Yes, they called me for interview but my employer wasn't contacted I put in 4years plus I got 3years 7months, reason, a compulsory pre-qualification period, hence, if you need d 5points, put in at least 4years to guarantee 3years experience I only submitted payslips and reference letter, I was not asked for anything else 3payslips per year, ensure ur first and last payslips are included Make them sequential, and in a single file As per the pm thingy, sorry, I don't know how pms on Nairaland work. You can ask ur questions here so others can benefit. Cheers 4 Likes |

House, Your advice is needed concerning my application process. I graduated as a Chem. Engr. About 7years ago but been working in a Financial Institution for about 6years now. Within the years i have obtained a M.B.A. My concerns; 1) My course of study Chem.Engr. is listed on SOL but i don't have any work experience in that field, can I assess my qualifications alone without claiming points for my work experience in that field. 2)I have checked through and found out that occupations relating to financial institutions are listed on CSOL but I haven't been able to match it to any assessing body, don't I need to assess my qualifications if I am choosing an occupation from CSOL? 3) On the other hand, I am also looking at the education line, the course which I would have loved MIT isn't anywhere listed on SOL and the advise i have gotten is to study a course related to what i have experience in. House your advise is needed on the way to go by...@bellong...pls assist |

Good morning House. Trust the night was well rested. Please I want to confirm if anyone who attended a State University has assessed as an Internal Auditor with Vetassess and got a positive assessment. I have been working as an Internal Auditor (Investigation Officer) in a financial institution. I am a Chartered Accountant and about to submit my documents online. I just need a sort of assurance that I am not alone. Thank you. |

Guitarlife: Your MSc transcript can pass.. Ladaps2001, This has been addressed several times. You can write a CDR without work experience. Read the thread. |

toslad: Why don't you add your ICAN to your qualification and save yourself the trouble? It is pretty much guaranteed with ICAN added. |
