Paul Scholes I don’t find elite football as interesting to watch any more, especially in England. You hear about people saying English football’s the best football there is around. I think Spain’s by far the best league. Germany has better teams. In Italy probably the strength in depth isn’t great. They talk about Italy being a bad league but I don’t think English people look at it. They say it’s boring. No chance. The Juventus team would beat any team in this league. They came up to Manchester City and beat them easy. But we have this interpretation of the Italian league that it’s rubbish https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/05/paul-scholes-non-league-football-premier-league 2 Likes |

The Spanish league’s the best by far if you’re judging on the European competitions. In the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the Europa League in 2015–16, they had six of the 16 teams. Nearly half of them. The Premier League had just two. There needs to be a real step up in quality in England. Other than Sergio Agüero, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva, we don’t have the best players. All the best players are in other countries. The best players are in Spain or at Bayern Munich and Juventus. We’re linked with big players – Gareth Bale is a top player – but we don’t get them now. Not any more. You never see a Lionel Messi coming over here, you never see a Neymar in the Premier League. debroslink dmcdad, nihilist, pataki ibime, A40 homesteady bykebyke sebod pelvicky |

raumdeuter:Honestly, this is nothing but the truth albeit EPL fanboys won't wanna admit it. Given, EPL is the most watched and most entertaining (whatever that means) and maybe the most competitive too, but that doesn't make it any better than the rest. As far as quality is concerned, EPL is very low and highly overrated. For all the fuss created by the English media, EPL is ridiculously subpar in terms of the quality of play and even the quality of players. Funny enough though, EPL boasts of the best deals as far as finances are concerned. Also, they boast of very goos coaches very now and then, yet, they are very poor in terms f competing amongst Europe's bests. I mean, anybody wey say him get power, shey na to dey beat him younger brothers and sisters inside house him go take prove him power? Of course not! He would need to challenge others outside the confinement of his house to prove his mettle. So, the earlier they realise they seldom play good football and start learning while also reducing the amount of hype, the better for them. 3 Likes |

raumdeuter:It's an obvious truth many Epl fans know but some fail to admit. They talk about smaller teams defeating the bigger ones which makes the league competitive. Many fail to know that the league is all about pace and power with little technique and skills as against what's obtainable in Spain. The media too never helped their case by over hyping average players to high heavens making them believe they are the best only to disappear into the thin air when it matters most. Little wonder a normal/good player will leave Spain for Epl only to become boss while the best players in Epl still find their ways to Spain to live their dream. |

How did this discussion dissolve into something about leagues and comparison? Case 1 Karl Heinz Rummenigge failing to pay tax on watches; http://www.espnfc.com/german-bundesliga/story/1613004/bayern-munich-ceo-karl-heinz-rummenigge-accepts-fine They let this one go off easily and he paid his penalty/fine but he currently has a criminal record in Germany. Case 2 Uli Hoeness tax fraud case worth up to €28.5m. He spent time in jail https://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/mar/13/uli-hoeness-sentenced-three-and-a-half-years-prison-tax-evasion-germany He departed the club in tears. When he got released "The former Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has been released from prison on suspension after serving half of his three-and-a-half-year jail term for tax evasion, Bavaria’s justice ministry has announced. Hoeness, a former player for the club who was sports director for 30 years before taking over as club president in 2009, was convicted in March 2014 for evading €28.5m in taxes." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/feb/29/bayern-munich-uli-hoeness-tax-evasion Case 3 Franz Beckenbauer currently Bayern's honorary president He is facing up to five years in prison after being placed under criminal investigation over his role in the alleged 2006 World Cup bribery scandal. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/09/01/franz-beckenbauer-under-criminal-investigation-amid-world-cup-co/ I can understand if a single past president of a club is involved with fraud and other illegal financial acts because they are human beings too but it becomes worrying when it's actually 2 past presidents of a big club like Bayern. Actually Bayern have 3 presidents involved in such disgraceful acts. We can say one of such individual is simply a bag egg and if we refer to 2 of such events as simply coincidences, what can we say about 3? I support United and my club is big, successful and very rich; even richer than Bayern so those using these points as excuse sound really foolish. If there's a fraudster at my club, it would be one bad egg at best, but not 3. 3 is too much abeg. When a club as big as Bayern is run by so many fraudulent people and have them as legends over a long period of time, then surely Bayern must be a fraudulent club. None of the Bayern executive deeds was directly related to Bayern 2 didnt pay taxes on their PERSONAL income and One with the FIFA world cup bid. None relating to Bayern just like when Alex Ferguson was indicted on horse betting scandals involving his Gibratar I ask, How does this affect their job at Bayern and Man Utd directly but when we look closely at the deeds of a club known as the PDP of England, who influences refereeing decision and affect the game We would look closely at some of the actions that AFFECT the game and their clubs DIRECTLY 9 Likes |

During United’s title winning 2010/11 season, they only lost 4 league games. I looked at who refereed those games and how long they then spent without being assigned Manchester United games as well their subsequent trend of behavior towards United. =============================================================== Michael Oliver took charge of their first defeat, the February 2011 2-1 loss at Wolves. He was not given another Manchester United game to referee until December 2011. Since then, Oliver has had 2 United games. United have won both, with Oliver refusing to give a clear Fulham penalty in the 1-0 United win late last season at Old Trafford; a game came right at the end of the title race. A few weeks ago, Oliver gave United a penalty for a shocking dive by Danny Welbeck in the home win against Wigan. ================================================================ The second game United lost was away to Chelsea. Martin Atkinson was the referee then and some of his decisions incurred the wrath of Alex Ferguson. Atkinson was not given another United game to referee for an ENTIRE YEAR. Atkinson was further punished with his decisions that went against United that day. He was not given a single premier league game to referee for a full month. Even worse, he was subsequently given 3 lower league games to referee that season- when he’d previously not officiated a single one that campaign. It seems that Atkinson was given a clear message that day. ======================================================================= The 3rd United loss came at Anfield, where a Dirk Kuyt hat trick secured a 3-1 home win. The referee that day was Phil Dowd. He was criticized by Ferguson for not sending Jamie Carragher off. In the very next United game Dowd refereed, he gave them a penalty which secured a 1-1 draw at Blackburn and their 19th league title. Giving United penalties in the very next game you referee them after having been criticized is a trend we’ll soon notice. The final United loss of the 2010/11 season came at the Emirates, where Chris Foy refereed a 1-0 Arsenal win. It will come to no surprise to people to know that Foy was subsequently not assigned a United league game for, again, AN ENTIRE YEAR. He did however referee 2 United games in the cups during that time. The first was in the Carling Cup against Crystal Palace. He awarded United a penalty. The second was at City in the FA Cup. United got a penalty and Vincent Kompany was sent off early in the game. To resume, we’ve just analyzed what happened to the 4 referees that officiated United’s 4 league losses in the 2010/11 season. 2 of them were not given any more United league games for a full year (Atkinson and Foy), a third for 9 months (Oliver). 2 of those referees gave United penalties in the very next game (Foy and Dowd) they took charge of and one refused to give a blatant one to the opponents (Oliver). Martin Atkinson, was not given premier league games to officiate for an entire month and assigned to 3 lower league games. 8 Likes |

"Findings show United were given an average of 79 seconds extra when losing after 90 minutes, while Moyes has received an average of just 40 in the same circumstances." GALLACHER: "Manchester United had three games that week and I was given the game on the bank holiday Monday. It was chucking it down with rain and Fergie pulled me aside and said 'do me a favour, call the game off'. GRAHAM POLL : Graham Poll believes Premier League referees used to fear awarding penalties against Manchester United at Old Trafford, because of Sir Alex Ferguson. "When I travelled to Old Trafford, I was well aware of the ‘Fergie factor’. If I gave a ‘soft’ decision against them or did not add enough time on, then I knew he would let me know, in no uncertain times, that I had erred. "In the early days I must concede that probably affected me. The way I decided to cope with this was to raise my tolerance level where penalties were concerned." RYAN BABBEL posted this RAFA BENITEZ: We can dig through the archives and see the his allegation against the most corrupt institution in English footbal on how Fergie was not evading personal taxes, not on how he was betting, not on how he influenced world cup bids, BUT on how he influenced games involving Man Utd The referee [Steve Bennett] was the referee when they played against Wigan – he could not see the handball against Wigan by Rio Ferdinand, he did not give a penalty. They won the game and they won the title in this game. I think it will be the same referee who will be in charge of their game in hand this season [against Wigan]. Mr Ferguson was charged by the FA for improper conduct after comments made about Martin Atkinson and Keith Hackett. He was not punished. He is the only manager in the league that cannot be punished for these things Then he was talking about the fixtures. Two years ago we were playing a lot of early kick-offs away on Saturdays when United were playing on Sundays. But at Christmas, United played on the 29th and the rest of the teams played on the 28th. We were away against Newcastle two days after playing Bolton. They were playing about 40 hours later, Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple. We know what happens every time we go to Old Trafford and the United staff. They are always going man to man with the referees, especially at half-time when they walk close to the referees and they are talking and talking. "All managers need to know is that only Mr Ferguson can talk about the fixtures, can talk about referees and nothing happens. "We need to know that I am talking about facts, not my impression. There are things that everyone can see every single week. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2009/jan/09/rafael-benitez-alex-ferguson-outburst ALL comments by people involved in the premier league against Man Utd long term coach NOT about their personal lives but about interference in the game and how the game is rigged in favor of Man Utd 5 Likes |

Chris Foy failed to give Manchester United a penalty in their 3-2 loss to Spurs last Saturday. The PGMOB have not handed Foy a Premier League game to referee next weekend: instead, he will referee in League 2 for the first time in more than 4 years. Mike Jones meanwhile, who missed a blatant penalty on Luis Suarez at Norwich, will take charge of West Brom vs QPR in the Premier League. Finally, Howard Webb (who sent off Jordi Gomez on Saturday; a red card today rescinded by the FA) will take charge of Newcastle’s home game against…Manchester United. Why did Foy’s errors on Saturday lead to his demotion to the lowest professional league in England while Webb’s and Jones’ mistakes didn’t cost them? 3 Likes |

With all these evidence by people who should know not hearsay or cases involving their private lives but decisions that affect the game and the league Rival coaches like Benitez and Mourinho, Rival players like Babel and Davies even referees have confirmed it. Everyone knows it but we just dont want to say anything, Man Utd under Ferguson was rigging games and had referees influence games in their favour One has to wonder how many of these league titles Man Utd won under Ferguson was won free and fair 1 Like |

EVen the current Man utd boss Jose Mourinho has this to say The Chelsea manager has stated that United have received favourable refereeing decisions this season. Ferguson said: "Mourinho seems to be on some sort of personal crusade. I am surprised no action has been taken. "It's calculated. We have four games to go now. If we get a penalty against us, Mourinho wins that war. That is wrong." He went on: "It is a rant all the time now. I don't think it is fair to the game." Last weekend Mourinho insisted that there was a "new rule" in football which meant United could not concede a penalty Everyone is entitled to have an opinion. That doesn't mean to say they are liars He was referring to spot-kicks both Sheffield United and Middlesbrough felt they should have been given at Old Trafford 3 Likes |

SIRcumalot: Of course there is a valid excuse, The excuse was he was the center and watched Man Utd lose without doing the "needful" Excuses like this? Chris Foy refereed a 1-0 Arsenal win. It will come to no surprise to people to know that Foy was subsequently not assigned a United league game for, again, AN ENTIRE YEAR. Are you familiar with the case of Justice Salami and Tinubu? There was probably an excuse to retire him prematurely too and probably not related to him awarding Tinubu favourable decisions, Nor related to his phone number showing on ACN key official call logs. Trying to defend the indefensible is even more hilarious, Man Utd got favours from referees under Fergie. Simple. Coaches, Players and even referees have said the same |
