I heard you can use any of the 2 module. The main aim of the exam is to test your proficiency in English language.

This question has been answered by Bellong. Check the last two posts on page 76. In fact the answer is just above your post. You couldn't have missed it. Just in case you miss it again, Bellong said YES.

bellong:

Yes, you can use it. I wrote academic too

Please A few questions I have not been able to find the answers here:

1. Which would you advise? IELTS or PTE? What body conducts the PTE exams in Nigeria and is it only used for Australia?
2. Should my spouse do the English exams too? Is it necessary?
3. Is it advisable I provide information in my EOI that my spouse is not migrating with me? Just me and the kids or should I just leave that info out?
4. After getting my assessment results, how and where can I calculate my points in total?
5. Does the assessment result specify the marks I will receive for my skills?

Thank you all so much and I apologise if this has been answered somewhere before
Cheers

Sorry. A few more clarifications please

For the proof of funds - I am the principal applicant but can the proof of funds - property, etc be in the name of my spouse?
Can it be joint or must it be my name primarily? Would they really accept pension funds account as POF?

On the site, the highest I saw for POF was principal and three dependents. We are actually five (husband, wife and three children 0 - does this apply to us? Or how can we know what the next level of funds is?

Is there any format for the employer reference letter to the skills assessment body? And would they need to call my employer to confirm?

Thanks a lot

I thought you have read the thread before?

This has been discussed several times yet people keep asking same question.

Only Northern territory and ACT ask for proof of fund for those seeking their nomination.

@bellong and other gurus on the POF matter when am I suppose to attach/ show the PO F as I am nominating NT?

I am a bit confused because I know after positive assessment and English test next step is EOI. Am I attaching all my POF during eoi or during Visa processing.

Another thing is when are we suppose to do the medical test and police character.

I heard you don't pay the visa fee until all this has been checked and accepted before you can pay, that payment is the last part.

I need all the clarification please.

Please I really need guidance. This is my situation
Year 2000 Bsc Biology (Nigeria)
Year 2010 Msc Project Management (UK)
Nominated Occupation: Corporate Services Manager (SA and ACT) – also known as administration manager or business services manager
Work Experience:
2015 to date Chief Operation Officer (Tasks are similar to nominated occupation)
2011 to 2015 Project Coordinator (some similar tasks to nominated occupation)
2004 to 2008 Customer service/customer care/Customer service admin
2000 to 2004 Bank teller /Customer service/ Cash officer
Now the problem is this:
Will I be assessed only for the 5 years after my Msc?
Is my MSc even relevant to the occupation? Since its management generally?
Will they consider my other years of experience?
Do I also need to submit employment evidence for all the jobs I have had?
Should I submit only MSC credentials or both MSC and BSc – they are both on completely different fields!
ACT or SA – which state is preferable?
I am really looking to get the highest score for experience and skills and am confused
Help pls

so its possible to submit only MSc?
My MSc is in project management (UK) and BSc in Nigeria.
Can I just send them only the MSc?

bellong:

You can submit your BSc degree alone since you have substantial academic courses on welfare program.
BSc and MSc are both 15points. UI is one of the schools VETASSES asseses the qualification to be equivalent of Australia bachelor.

@chukdee
@Manmeta
They have been of great support to me in my PR paroles.
I lodger my application to EA on the 11th of April this year, and the outcome came in early today 21st April 2016 I did the fast track one.I applied as a professional Engineer, but in the outcome letter, they said my qualification is equivalent to Engineering Technologist. And that my degree is equivalent to Australia Qualification Framework as bachelors degree. I want to know if this qualifies me to v the 15points.

I wrote IELTS last year, I had above the 6.0 band score but my score didn't fetch me points.however I did PTE jst last month on the 16th of match, result came out early the following day,17th march.
Listening 81
Reading 90
Speaking 84
Writing 80
As it is now, my total points accumulated
English test -20 points
Age-32----- 25 or 30 points,by end of November I wld b a year older, I really don't know which point to pick 25 or 30
Bachelors degree(elect/ elect engineering with telecommunications option--------- 15
Total points= 60 or 65 depending on age point
I want the dons in the house to clarify on the engineering technologist thing.
Thanks house..

I thank everybody that has contributed immensely in this page.

It's not true that you must do medicals and police character tests before payment, u can choose to do them upfront but u can't upload any documents until u've submitted(paid) for visa processing. Pls read the first page for better clarification.

I need clarification on this.....MSA brochure recommended only TOEFL and IELTS for engineers..if one gets the minimum 6.0 across all bands....can one go for PTE to add up to ones IELTS for points?

You need to prove your language proficiency for two reasons:

1. To get assessed by EA -all they need is IELTS (minimum of 6 per band) or TOEFL
2. To submit your EOI with DIPB and gather points for PR purpose (refer to page 1 please!!)-your options here vary;IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, etc

You may decide to use one IELTS result for 1 and 2. OR

Use IELTS for EA assessment and PTE for EOI with DIPB (cos PTE is supposedly easier to pass and thus boost your points)

Again... Please read this thread from back to back and all your questions have been answered over and again

I really don't get your questions.. How can you add pte to ielts? If you're using ielts for EA, there is nothing stopping you from writing pte to claim points.

Please can you send it to my email (sun_jonathan10@yahoo.com). I had lots of materials buh unfortunately my system hard-disk crashed and I lost all of them.

Anyone who has link or resources for pte materials, kindly share too.
Have written ielts buh did'nt get the score required to claim points, So I dont mind trying pte. Cheers.

So one can go for assessment without meeting the 65points requirement....with just EA requirements? Will it not affect the outcome of EA's assessment?

Your major challenge is that you have refused to take out some minutes of your life to do a little research on what you really want... Hence you're here confusing yourself and looking for someone to spoon-feed you with the process...

A lot of relevant information has been written on Page 0 of this thread of what the process entails, Several engineers have also taken their time to post relevant information regarding the EA Assessment process.. All these are exclusive of the abundant information you'll find on their official sites and helpful contents online.

But you have refused to make that decision to just do a little study.

When people start ignoring your questions, you'll begin to wonder... it's a pity
