All the possible occupations you can nominate are all assessed by VETASSES. With the body, you need at least one year experience in the nominated occupation to get positive assessment.
thank u. my patner will be in the best position cuz he has more experience

negative, does your partner have accredited qualification from HIMA? Read my post to you on CSOL list.

@ bellong, thanks for your time. I thought my job responsibilities have to match the nominated occupation in order to be able to claim points for skilled employment (work experience) or am I missing out something?

You are right but going forward with your qualification, I think it is better to go with the Telecomm engineer option. I tried checking the descriptions, you can match it as it is closely related to field engineer.
How many years of experience do you have in the field engineer? Only NSW sponsors field engineer but with Telecoms, you have options of State in case you fall short of 60 points.

Nevertheless, you can nominate any you are comfortable with.

One is expected to nominate an occupation for assessment with vetassess, what is the chances that after nominating the listed states/territories occupation in the Csol, before the assessment result comes out the occupation is remove and not available in any state or territories.?

If the Csol can be updated any time does that mean we have to keep checked the Internet daily to see any removal or addition?

The CSOL usually stays the same during the financial year. However, special conditions are either introduced or relaxed at different times during the year. An example is Customer care/Call centre officer 149---. I saw a question about this on the thread. Special conditions sometimes state that you need to have 75 points to even apply or you nred to hAve stidied in the state. So you have to apply at the right time during the year.

The only state offering this at the moment is SA and at special condition with 80 points / 489 option.

It seems most of the states require proof of fund which is about AUD35,000 for 3 applicants

What about if I study one year diploma course in the state, we I be exempted to provide proof of fund and getting 75points.?

The highest I can currently get is 60points as am not claiming points for working experience.

Am thinking of nominating Microbiologist or Laboratory manager as they are closing related to my qualification and job but Vetassess advisory service closure is delaying my assessment as am waiting for it to reopen or them to introduce the new scheme.

I have been on the sidelines for couple of months, but you can be rest assured that I haven't been sleeping neither have I stopped the chase.

So, I've got both good and bad news... And for me, the good news always comes first.

I received a positive outcome on my MSA CDR application from EA today. It was Fast Track, and took 16 working days; my status didn't change until the 16th working day. I'm grateful to you all for your relentless and selfless services. SPECIAL THANKS TO @MALKINGBURG for the RELEVANT MATERIALS.

In another news, I give up on 189. Now chasing 190. My last English test (PTE) was a complete DISASTER, SPEAKING score of 49 (R70 L78 W86). Completely demoralised to even try again, hahaaa. My speaking can't be that bad. Thankfully, my IELTS was band 7. In my case, practice didn't make perfect because this was my first time of ever preparing/practicing for an English test; over a month wasted, lol. Thanks to y'all for the resourceful materials and links. SPECIAL THANKS to @MCTOWEL01 for the RELEVANT OFFLINE MATERIALS.

I also completed my pte exams few minutes ago, it was crazy as the computer time was just running fast in my reading section and in other to complete the listerning task on time I out run the time and finish my test 30minute before others.. My first with CBT and pte but am thinking I will better off writing ielts as my first attempt of ielts academic gave me band 7(S8,R6, W7 and L7.5)*. My assessment body does not require English test. Please will State/territories accept IELTS General?

I also prepared for PTE for 2 months with sleepless night like mad but am currently demoralized, surprisingly I didn't put half of that effort in my ielts.

With all the information on this thread about engineers, you still ask this question?
Why can't you choose Telecom engineer than the field?

We are exactly in the same situation. thank you so much bellong i get your point. I see telecom engineer is better than Telecom field engineer if one do not attain the 60 point mark.
Thanks.

Was your assessment outcome chemical engr?
Btw, i saw a post from malkinburg some time back where he said pte might be more difficult when taking it in Australia. I don't know how true. Anyway, you know if you have small change, you can still give the exam another shot while waiting for the nomination. Still, Congrats on the positive side.

Hold on for VETASSES to conclude their modified advisory service before submitting for full assessment.

Yes, the last time it was $180 AUD.. I don't know if it will change

@ajiifixing,

It is also important to read the State's migration website for current list. anzscosearch should only serve as a guide not the final authority.

Nothing to worry about. If you are really troubled, a court affidavit saying you are the same person should do.

YES Chemical Engineer.
Yeah Malkinburg did warn, but I never would think I'll be a victim.
However, I think my challenge was I'm not a loud speaker, and taking the test in a room full of Indians, you're doomed if you can't shout coz those dudes are just loud that I felt disturbed.
Of course if I want to repeat it's gotto be IELTS unless I'm placed alone in a room for the PTE. But bro, the problem is that, down here and at the moment, every dollar counts to my survival. So, I'm not willing to make another try unless situation calls for it; if state nomination proves to be taking longer.

Pls ALL, don't be discouraged by my Poor PTE score. I find the PTE to be easier and more comfortable than the IELTS. Apparently, my score didn't support my claim; I must have done something wrong. But since I can't identify what it is I did wrong, I'm just gonna stay clear, hahaaaa.

Actually, IELTS - General is the most widely accepted English Test for Migration purposes.

You're all Clear, though some states such as WA require 7 bands for some occupations such as Engineers.
