I have a profitable business venture i'm running here in naija .. u know what it means to leave all that to someone ...I cant just leave my 14 years old business in the hands of somebody no matter the best hands i have .once they even know u r off for a week they start messing up .and yes I plan to come back..not everyone has the mind to disappear into thin air once they land in UAE .my intention to travel is to look into what i could be able to go into and start marketing here back in naija . I can as well make the $1,000 deposit as proof of my coming back since i have a family to come back to . If you can settle this for me then we can be better off to do this .i'm all open to new ideas.

I pity your employees; that's if you have any. Boastful because of the peanut you make from your so called "14 yrs business"

Your problem is that you find it difficult to understand written words and lacks sense of humor.

Tata, since you didn't understand my writeup, let me explain:

Firstly, I told you to visit page 0 (first page) of this thread and you will see the easiest way to go about your visa without paying any agent. I was only trying to help because you hardly find sincere visa agents and this thread does not promote such.

Secondly, I used the word "hustlers" to refer to some of us who go to the UAE with the intention of staying there to work. So, I assumed you are not one since you run are business in Nigeria and plan on coming back.

Thirdly, I was only trying to tell you that only those with no intention of coming back go through the risk of contacting agents (ie the crooked way) but since u are sure you will come back, then it would be better to go through vfs, Emirates etc (the straight way) as pointed out in page 0 of this thread.

Please do not label yourself immodest because I didn't ask you to give me the visa money. I'm only contributing because I have learnt a lot from this thread and it's nice to give back.

Finally, despite our altercations, I will still advise you to go back to page 0 (first page) of this thread (topic) and see how you can get your visa by yourself within a week.

STOP BOASTING BECAUSE MANY HERE RUN MORE PROFITABLE BUSINESSES THAN YOU BUT WILL NEVA DISCLOSE IT. YOU CAN ONLY CLAIM BOSS FOR YOUR EMPLOYEES AND FAMILY.

Its a right to be my own boss ..u can choose to be who u r that is if u are truly what u claim to be . I am not proud neither am i taking pride in boasting over what i do . yea for I already know that pride comes before a fall. . to stand up for ur self and maintain a vast business in naija in 14 yrs is no joke ask .I was a boss to myself then my family and then to others .its not pride but responsibility ..mark that one. but lets put that aside ....

if you dont have anything meaningful to offer to such issues raised .I think it's better u stay silent . Ur not the only person on nairaland that has seen what i wrote . even the Mods have seen it and kept silent for reasons best known to them . u decided to run your mouth like u know it and show the world what stuff ur made off . I never asked for ur opinion. not to talk wheter I have even gone back to page 0 (first page) of this thread (topic) or not . ..i know I will find my way to UAE and come back and tell u teh story that i was there .. expereince counts for me .

What advice again after paying 350k out of 570k.just be praying that the deal should materialise

On d monthly 1400 dirham, well it depends on d type of jobs.If it's construction then not a good deal for u and u need to ask your friend d type of job, also to explain d total package to u e,g is 1400 basic salary or total package inclusive OT.

I don't think there is need for quarrelling on this issue. This is a forum where u ask questions and different comments w response,it is now left for u to look at d comments critically and find solution to your post.

My sincere advice is this since u have your money coz u said a friend is willing to do a month visa for u at 2k dirham and a agent said u should get 570k for 3months visa, and in this forum people have come out to tell u those prices are outrageous. It is now left for u to decide on what to do,nobody can force u to go against your wish.

Remeber u said an agent already collected 120k from u on this issue. If am in your shoe with enough money as u said i w just Google and get a reputable travel tour company in Dubai and do your visa

A blog reader shared his very pathetic story as a warning to people who go to Dubai to seek greener pastures. More often than not, migrant workers end up with demeaning, back breaking work. And if you aren't lucky, you end up being scammed of your hard earned money. Like the man in this story.
Read below
I lost my bank job December last year, tried to find another job for a while without success. I gathered my remaining savings and even borrowed more and left for Dubai in search of job only to end up in a construction company that subjects the workers to subhuman treatment.
I tried to leave the company to find a job elsewhere but they won't let me. I contacted some people for help without success till the editor of UK based Independent offered to help.
Here is a link to her article on my story:
http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/news/uae-migrant-worker-ansam-residential-yas-insland-abu-dhabi-human-rights-watch-kafala-a7131051.html
The bad publicity my story generated forced my company to let me go, but they refused to release my passport on time for me to find another job and I was given only 28days to either find a job or leave the country, according to UAE labour laws.
They released my passport only 16 days before the expiration of my papers and so didn't have much time to look for work and so I eventually ended up in an even bigger scam/sleaze, a phoney company that specializes in scamming people of their hard earned money.
I saw their advert online in a job board so I called, they invited me for an interview so I went, after the 'interview' which I passed, they said I had to make a refundable security deposit of 1000aed, before they could process my offer, when I asked why; they said some people don't show up after they start processing their visa so the money would act as guarantee.
I agreed and sourced for the money by all means because I was already broke then. To make matters worse, I equally informed other job seekers about the company and so many people paid them through me, after passing their 'interview'.
Shortly after, they issued us job offers which I verified from the UAE ministry of labour website and because of this, so many other jobseekers believed the authenticity of the company because they told us they just won a contract to provide office assistants and security men in different companies so they needed enough manpower.
As we were waiting for the visa, after signing the offer letters, my papers expired and so I had to leave the country, to come back when they finish processing.
Before I left, I told them my predicament and they assured me that my visa will be out within ten days, now it's over 2 months I came back to Nigeria and not even a word, I asked someone to go help me check the company only for him to tell me that their office has been locked.
Now I'm holed up here, so sick and I just feel like ending it all...
(Please I have all the documents backing my story just in case)

If everything about getting this work permit cost not more than 1k aed, why do the so called Nigerian agents charge as high as 5-6k aed for the permit. #SMH
