Nice video.

Yeah, i particularly liked the helmet camera view. It gives a different perspective, more enjoyable.

The fact NAF deploys DICON vests as it's primary bulletproof vest is also nice to see.

off topic :Royal Navy to lose anti-ship missiles and be left only with guns

Royal Navy warships will be left without anti-ship missiles and be forced to rely on naval guns because of cost-cutting, the Ministry of Defence has admitted.

The Navy’s Harpoon missiles will retire from the fleet’s frigates and destroyers in 2018 without a replacement, while there will also be a two year gap without helicopter-launched anti-shipping missiles.

Naval sources said the decision was “like Nelson deciding to get rid of his cannons and go back to muskets” and one senior former officer said warships would "no longer be able to go toe-to-toe with the Chinese or Russians".Harpoon missiles are unlikely to be replaced for up to a decade, naval sources said, leaving warships armed only with their 4.5in Mk 8 guns for anti-ship warfare. Helicopter-launched Sea Skua missiles are also going out of service next year and the replacement Sea Venom missile to be carried by Wildcat helicopters will not arrive until late 2020.

One Naval source said: “We will be losing our missile capability in total for two years. We will still have the gun, but the range of that is about 17 miles, compared to Harpoon, which is about 80 miles”.

I know the argument is going to start. before u start think about the pros and cons. Nigeria should consider this SA tank or a mordinised version. It better than anything you'v got. Everyone is proud about what they'v got but let be honest, It cost less than tanks in it range and the Americans are not going to ever sell u their Abrams Tank at least for the moment. So called claimed War Crimes remember.

it has a BB gun,Nigeria would be better off upgrading its T-72 Tanks to Upgraded T-72B3.

Protection of the upgraded tank was slightly improved. The T-72B3 is fitted with built-in Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armor. The same armor is used by the T-80U, T-90 and some other main battle tanks. This armor can effectively defeat most older APFSDS rounds.
The tank is armed with the same 125-mm smoothbore-gun as its predecessor. However autoloader of the T-72B3 has some modifications and can use newly-developed munitions. This tank can launch 9M119 Svir or 9M119M Refleks anti-tank guided missiles in the same manner as ordinary projectiles. Western reporting name for both missiles is AT-11 Sniper. A total of 45 rounds are carried, 22 rounds are stored in the autoloader and ready to use, while remaining are stored inside the hull.
There is a coaxial 7.62-mm machine gun and roof-mounted 12.7-mm machine gun. The roof-mounted 12.7-mm machine gun is controlled manually by the vehicle commander.
The tank has new fire control system and new ballistic computer. Gunner uses new Sosna-U sight with thermal imager. This sight has day/night and all weather combat capability. The T-72B3 has a hunter-killer capability even though it lacks commander's panoramic sight. Vehicle commander can select a target and lay the gun and let the gunner complete all the aiming and firing process. During that time commander looks for the next target. The tank is also fitted with new digital radio system.
Some T-72B3 demonstrator tanks were fitted with commander's panoramic sight. This sight might appear on later models.
This tank has a crew of three, including commander, gunner and driver.
Initially refurbished and upgraded T-72B3 tanks were powered by original V-84-1 diesel engine, developing 840 hp. However later production tanks were fitted with a new V-92S2F engine, developing 1 130 hp. This tank is also fitted with new tracks.
There is also an improved T-72B3M version of this tank, also called T-72B4. It has a new A246M5 gun. It is reportedly fitted with a built-in Relikt 3-rd generation explosive reactive armor. This tank is powered by the V-92S2F diesel, developing 1 130 hp.

Think about it, the money will stay in Africa. It will help build better tanks than the T72 plus open new areas of military corporation. Two of Africa's Strong economies and military teaming up. The rest of the countries will fall in line. All those African Countries will think again about paying colonial tax to France.

you do realise this is an ungraded Centurion tank (not a completely developed south africa tank)its either you see how they can upgrade your Vickers MBT Mk 3.that platform can still be resourceful.i want to ask you one question, what if syria never had a close relationship with russian or never helped iran during the iran/iraq war.who would be helping them now in this time of need !!.

Take it from a South African , it would be a terrible idea, firstly we never manufacture the Olifant from scratch but used existing centurion platforms which basically means we can't build any more Olifant, so that would mean you would need to buy from our Surplus stocks, which consist of only Mk1As which are basically WW2 Centurions.

The only time it would be worth while is getting your hands on the mk1b or mk2 versions.....which i guarantee we would never sell.

Upgrading your existing T72s and Vickers might be a better idea

That bb gun would still be able to take out any tank in SSA. Anyway there exists a fully developed 120mm Olifant turrent that can be fitted in no time.
