@ bellog and others that had recently done Vetassess assessment. Am about proceeding for my occupation assessment but I want to find out if I should use DOCUMENT CHECKING SERVICE which cost AUD 110 or CONSULTATION SERVICE which cost AUD 220 since advisory services is now closed. Also most states requires proof of settlement fund for nomination eg. South Australia requires me to have a total of AUD 30,000 - AUD 35,000(family of 3). Must the full amount be in my statement of account or can I have less the amount and possible show them asset that can make up the money ? Thanks. |

@Nickoko, I don't know what the two services is like. What occupation are you nominating and which university did you finish from? South Australia does not reyou go present proof of fund. The fund stated is for you to have an idea of the money you should have with you when relocating. @toslad, Sorry, I wouldn't want to go through the stress of looking for the documents also. What's your email address in case I find it? @Nkechima, The company should give him whatever he can give him but every payslip must have tax deduction. I have no idea what can be done on that. Probably some other person who have gone through the same situation can help. In my case, one of the agencies I work for didn't issue payslip, I only used bank statement with other employment evidence. If his company doesn't issue payslip and doesn't pay to his bank, I don't know what can be done. 1 Like |

Pinoralia: Just for the sake of clarification and also in the event some other person is in this same situation, Engineers Australia has a list of accredited Engineering programs provided by Australian institutions in different locations. A master in Chemical Engineering offered by the following universities-: is fully accredited and is offered at the level of Professional Engineer University of Melbourne, The University of Queensland, University of Western Australia, University of Sydney What this means is that with a master degree in Chemical Engineering from any of the universities I have listed above, you're qualified to practice engineering in Australia and anywhere in the world and meet the SOL requirement for this particular course of study/profession. Other Universities that have accredited engineering programs which are offered at the level of Professional Engineer but are provisionally accredited are University of Adelaide Edith Cowan University Flinders University Charles Darwin University What this means is that even though the courses have been accredited at the professional level. some additional requirements may be needed to meet up with SOL requirement. The information stated above is bound to be reviewed from time to time. For Further Information on anything regarding accreditation, assessment or just basic information about Engineering in Australia you can check https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/sites/default/files/shado/Education/Program%20Accreditation/engineers_australia_accredited_qualifications.pdf OR https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au Also, just a word of advice, before giving out information on here please lets make sure we're a 100% sure of the info we are giving out. You just never know it may be the turning point either for good or bad in this journey/quest for a better life/future for some who come here seeking information. Let's keep up the good work and keep helping each other. Cheers! 2 Likes |

bellong: Oga Bellong, thanks for creating this thread. I have learnt a lot. But I have two questions which I don't think has been asked or answered. First, after arriving OZ with either the 189 or 190 visa. Is it possible to leave the country for as long as a year?. Would there be any problem in this?. And secondly, has anyone here assessed with a private university certificate? Is it considered as equivalent to AQF? Thanks. |

South Australia is not Queensland. In addition, do you guys really take time and patience to read and understand information? The requirements you posted are those for entrepreneur visa. Why not check the requirements for your subclass? If you have experience working as a laboratory manager, you should be able to get a positive assessment from VETASSES. I want to believe SLT is a 5 year course. 1 Like |

SLT is 5yrs and I also have a diploma in microbiology. I have 2yrs work experience as Laboratory manager . Do you think I should not bother myself with VETASSES recently introduced service of AUD 110 and just do a full assessment of AUD 810?. Though you have always advised us to first use advisory services unfortunately it is no longer in place and what is on board now look more complicated. Am very sorry my screenshot omitted the upper part of Queensland fund requirement which was showing subclass 190 and 489. Attached again is the full shot and that of South Australia

If your diploma is before your degree, include it. I don't think you need to do any advisory service with what you have. You only need to work on your CV and job description to match that of ANZSCO description. There's no point for work experience since you have only 2yrs. If you read the South Australia instruction well, it says no evidence is required for proof of fund. Like I said earlier, it is to serve as a guide for the amount you need. Queensland I believe recently started asking for evidence, it wasn't like that before. You can use assets, shares etc as stated not necessarily everything should be cash. Goodluck |

@ toslad **modified On a related note, I know this does not affect PR hopefuls but kindly advise as many as you know who intend to present statements to Australian Embassy for visa applications, to please desist from sending falsified statements! @toslad Thanks for the info! Does this case include borrowing money, print ur statement and returning thereafter? 1 Like |
