Find a very good pharmacy store and ask for gaviscon tablets, it's like sweet with white an pink color. It works like magic. Bought mine in UK, but it should be available in Nigeria olamitie: 1 Like 1 Share |

MamaOO:My dear please don't laugh o. My 1st delivery my Mil actually brought her 88yr old mum with her for omugwo things. She said it was her mum that took care of all her kids so she will equally take care of the great grandkids too. That period in my life was a serious power tussle cos great grandma had respiratory issues and cough. I complained to dh but he didnt send them back to their Base until my baby began to cough at 3weeks. |

Dunno if anyone has experienced this before. Went for my 23wks scan revealed that the placenta was posterior lying low- and I have googled which means the placenta is blocking the cervix. Although I was asked to come for another scan in 10weeks time. Any advice? Pls dont look and pass |

Yesitsme: I was also told that at 23 weeks. That it is low lying does not necessarily mean that your cervix is being blocked. It is pretty much dependent on baby's position at the time. Mine was in a transverse lie and placenta was posterior/low lying. Doc told me that it will move to its position as baby begins to prepare herself for delivery. I would hear none of it. I got really worried because I was scared of placenta previa. At some point, I contacted my friend who assured me that all will be normal. So I continued to declare positive over her. When I went for scan at 25 weeks, the placenta had adjusted and it was a cephalic presentation, as opposed to transverse. At 26 weeks, she was in longitudinal breech. At 38 weeks scan, I got the kind of result every mom wishes for. Please pray and try to be positive in your thinking. As I have carried mine in good health and Joy, so will you too. 4 Likes |

Happy anniversary Cappo @iomoge. May God continue to keep you both strong with great Children to surround ur table. Enjoy ur day. @Feddy Mama Fedora. God bless her and ur entire family. Looking all lovely. @Lawvlypearl . Put ur mind at rest and just enjoy ur FIL relatnshp and plan well wt ur Mum for next journey. I enjoy my MIL company though I stayed with them wen I was in Nig and still going to live there wen I go back after having my baby, pending we complete our own house. She sent ogufe stew and veg soup, catfish soup d last 2times hubby went to Nigeria. I got one plate of d stew left which I want to eat after delivery. The last two times I lost my Preg, all d after treatment and everytin, she was there for me nd follow me everywia.my parents are not in Nig so I am glad I found a mother in her. My hubby is d only son of her 3children. Her priority is making sure all what her children wants are achieved. She is a great woman and gr8 Cook. Overall, I am glad my Mum is my Mum nd my MIL is also my Mother too because she takes me as her daughter and not DIL(which she tells people wen dy say sebi u also av DIL, she will say no o,)I av learnt a lot from aw she handle issues. She calls someone to wash her clothes and ask me to bring any dirty ones I av to join which I sometimes find difficult. Some weekends, we would av soaked dem overnight and wash them together in d morning(myself, her and Hubby's sister) and some days give them to Laundry man. I knw Wia I am coming from and am grateful for having her in my life. When I first met my hubby and he said he can never take his mum for granted. He appreciates her mum so much and wen I got to knw her, thru all our troubles b4 getting married and living wt them. I understand him better and it's d truth. She is a gr8 treasure. Grateful to have her in my life. Just learn to appreciate and be grateful for the one u enjoy their company/relationship. Such is life. 19 Likes |

Yesitsme: Congrats enque my teamie, you finally ported. Yesitsme, dont be scared,Placenta previa has many stages, some bleed with their own,i'm also having same placenta low lying issue but my doctor told me that as my tummy is getting bigger that the placenta might be moving up to its normal position and have been praying for that,Although have been doing scan frequently just to monitor it and i'm meant to do another scan this week to know the position of the placenta. He explained to me that placenta previa means placenta is blocking the cervix as in placenta is before the baby and placenta cant be delivered before baby which mean CS.My dear you are still at 23weeks anything can happen just be prayerful and be positive.i too talk abi? 2 Likes |

My birth story. Very short. I had a very uneventful pregnancy with no morning sickness or spitting. My elective CS was scheduled for 1st of Nov. On Sunday the 30th of Oct I started leaking water. Dh got me antibiotics to prevent infection. I called my boss the medical director of the private hospital I work with and was scheduled to have my CS. He requested I do the CS immediately but I told him I will do it on Monday. On Monday Dh went to work while I arranged my stuff, he came back early to go pick his mum from the park, when they got back we went to the hospital. Got to the hospital by 7.30pm, settled in my room gisting with my colleagues the nurses on duty, only to find out my boss wasn't available and the doctor on duty wasn't experienced enough to do the CS. I called him on phone said he had a family emergency and requested to speak with my Dh. By 8pm I walked in to the theatre to see my Dh prepping the doctor and nurses assisting him. My Dh is a medical doctor. I just said thank God it's a doctor am comfortable and confident in. I got on the bed and Dh administered the spinal anaesthesia, I laid down, gradually lost feeling in my legs and then the drama started, I kept insisting the nurses help me move my legs and panicking too. Dh calmed me down with talk, telling me his qualifications, other surgeries... I calmed down 30mins later and surgery started, my baby was bought out by his dad at 8.45pm I told him to sew fast I couldn't breathe o, he told me to calm down and stop panicking and just shook his head at all my drama. Was back in my room by 9.30pm, called family and friends and didn't sleep that night. My recovery has been very fast. The dressing was changed 3 days later, by Sunday it was removed and all closed up and I didn't have to clean the site, no stitches needed to be removed. Now am fully healed. I thank God for His mercies. My MIL has been great too, I thank God for her. I also thank God I got a medical team that was very helpful, nice and patient with me. I am sorry for the late BS. I typed the long version oh, Na NL swallow am, so this is short version Happy wedding anniversary to our captain iomoge2, I wish you many many more years in love and happiness. @iomoge2. #teamnovember!!!!!!! Yesitsme: I have same issue exactly as you, am 24weeks today. I was told it should move beforev34 weeks, if not then it'll be cs. It is favour that we need. Cs or vaginally, we should come back home with baby in good health. Don't think too much of it, it's usually nothing 1 Like 1 Share |
