Hello my good people already on the other side!

Just want to use this platform to indicate my interest in sourcing for AUD from the other side.

If u need to send naira to relatives here in Naija, please don't go through world remit, just holla and i will pay in the naira equivalent while u pay in the AUD equivalent to a relative's bank account in Australia.

Tell your friends & Family please...

Abeg no amount is too little.

Just saving up for now.

Thanks in anticipation.

PS: Thanks Cuteannie for replying my mails. truly appreciate.

Dear all,

Happy new year. I pray that this year all our heart's desires will be granted by God's grace.
I hv been quiet for a while and all thanks to my University that has been on strike since Oct 2016.
I already hv 65 points since October oh. The challenge is that I hv not been able to complete my assessment with vetassess since the school has not sent the transcript to them. The strike is still on with no end date in view.
Vetassess keeps threatening me with mails that they will close the case and I will hv to pay again and start afresh.
I have called and appealed for an extension again after the 30 days I was previously given.
Note that all other required documents for my assessment hv been sent to vetassess since Oct 13, 2016 and payment made for full assessment.
Please anyone should advise on anything I can do.

@mamajaz , baby landed Jan 1 oh....

Yes I heard they resumed so I called a friend who works at the Senate building. He said the academic staff hv resumed but non academic staff are still on strike. I already applied online an paid 10k to courier to vetassess but the strike started before it was sent.

Hello house,
Please who has any idea of current NGN/AUD rates on the parallel market. Please I need it to make some decisions. Thanks.

I doubt you'll get AUD in the parallel market. You'll have to buy USD and load your Domiciliary account.

Current parallel market rate is #492=$1
1Usd=1.35Aud

So 1Aud=#364.444.

1Aud~#365 in the parallel market.

Your calculation is correct but might not be realistic, it's what banks unfairly do to unsuspecting customers. USD is overrated at the moment in Nigeria......#492 is not the real value of Naira (na the scarcity and increased demand cause am), so 1AUD is worth way less than #365 - just that we don't get it out here as guys in Aussie prefer to have their monies in USD before travelling down.

It better one boycotts any initial conversion to USD in any transaction for now - at least not for large volumes.

Op should not give up hope on getting people from Australia who might want to send money down, it's the surest way.....a win win for both
parties, might be risky though.

I waited until I got someone when I was going to submit my EA application.....guess how much I saved, a whopping 150k!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to one blessed person here on this forum.

You can do the registration by yourself and choose the preferred centre for the exam. There some bank that still allow payment up to 300USD with your naira debit card like Stanbic IBTC bank. The time that the voucher goes for 45k in Lagos and 55k at Laidera Consulting in Ibadan, the actual fee was 38k when you do the registration yourself although you can't make the payment with bank like GTB because the money is above 100USD.

The calculation may not be far from the truth because the only tangible offer I got while trying to pay for ITA was 350 per AUD. I ran for my dear life and settled for USD which came in piece meal that eventually added up. The reality is that you might only be able to see people help with Naira AUD swap when you are paying for assessment as the amount required is chicken change compared to amount required for ITA. People rarely send the huge amount of money required unless they have an ongoing capital project here in naija

Can't recall when anyone on this forum has successfully paid for PTE using a Naira card.

The bolded is not true....StanbicIBTC bank have stopped any international transactions on theirnaira debit/credit card. He has to open a dorm account for that.

My brother, I just weak. That date of effect is mathematically impossible. Even if we consider people who received ITA but couldn't lodge application.... Someone with DOE 07 July go don receive invitation 20th July. Fast-forward 60 days, he go don recycle by 20th September and receive another invite by 28th September...
Electronics went pro-rata after the round on the 26th of October, so that DOE no suppose exist in the system at all... I no just understand.

Has Naija changed all of a sudden?
Is there really no backdoor to this?
No phone number, no door, no desk, no house, etc that may need a recharge card and/or brown envelope?

This is serious man. I feel for you. What a strike!!! Na to make am your PRAYER point now oh. This one done pass normal.

On a more serious subject, CONGRATULATIONS on your new born. Surely it's a sign of new things, celebrations, multiplication, productivity, achievements, and good news for you this year, VETASSESS and 189 not excluded.

Best wishes.
