I hope you do know, unlike RSA, Plane and Shipspotting isn't particularly popular in the rest of Africa? gringringrin

Infact, Let me be blunt. They don't exist.

The wording of your post has to change, you don't demand, you hope.

So, hopefully we get to see pics from these countries, not we expect to see pics. grin

I love the way the attack proceeded. First the Alpha jets attacked with bombs, then came a hale of rockets, while the other's were fleeing, 30mm straffing ploughed them.

Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Tukur Buratai has confirmed that a light skinned man found in the Sambisa forest was among those killed when Nigerian troops launched an attack on the forest.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Trust, the army chief said contrary to wide spread speculations that a white man was captured, his troops did not capture any white man, but rather a light skinned man was among the casualties of the firefight.

"We did not capture any white man but the troops in the process of the firefight, somebody who has a lighter skin, who was suspected to be a white man, was among those that were casualties. It could be that it is from that it filtered out that a white man was captured.

"Even the picture they have been showing on social media was that of a German hostage who was rescued from Boko Haram by Cameroonian troops. Someone with a lighter skin was involved in the firefight inside Sambisa Forest and was killed along with others. That is the only information we know about somebody like a white man. Any other story is just a speculation" he said.

this woman just wasted these men's time and resources for nothing. i don't even know why buhari's government will be so desperate to make such a stupid decision.

oby needs to go and look for something else to keep her busy. there were thousands of women and children rescued from bh that deserves more commendation than the noise this monkey woman is making.

People don't bother much about them these days.

The only thing they did well today was the minister of information was going to take a separate flight to Maiduguri so they protested until he had to join the same flight with them including top military officers. #everybodytheyfearMayDay

It's been all politics all along. Give her a ministerial position or an Adviser spot now, like that other one at NPA and all the rabble rousing would disappear.

This woman and her group have simply refused to acknowledge, or give proper recognition to the other hundreds of people the military has rescued.

Hi all.

I recently found these photos of what appears to be a Ratel with a very unusual gun-turret. Looks to be much larger than a 90mm, perhaps a 100mm or 105mm? Any relation to the iklwa?

As I have not seen this variant before I was wondering if some of you Saffer okes could shed some light on it. Apologies if it's been posted before.

I assume it's an export model by Denel or something, as the crew posing next to it in the second picture don't appear to be wearing SANDF uniforms.

It is not a Ratel.

It's the SIBMAS! They are both made from the same prototype.

Someone in the future will ask a similar question regarding the Badger and the Rosomak IFV. grin grin grin

Turret is the Cockrill system from belgium

Same basic low pressure 90mm upgraded to 90mm high pressure, upgraded everything else
