4realisreal: You actually have 45points. From your 6 years experience after graduation, 2 years will be deducted as the minimum requirement for assessment. So you'll be left with 4years which is only 5points. |

Hey guys, I haven't been here in a long time, been too depressed to check, I submitted my application to vetassess on 10 October 2016, and since then, it has been one request after the other, at a point I just said, whatever abeg, I no do again. There's nothing vetassess did not ask for. I am happy to say that I got my positive outcome today, I am so excited. Can't wait to proceed with EOI. By my calculations; Age - 30 points English - 20 points Experience - 5 points Education - 15 points Total - 70 points Thanks to everyone 14 Likes |

chidike:Congrats. see Gigantic points ontop occupation wey no get competition.... My advice bro, dont claim work experience points in your EOI.... You must have submitted by now, but go and edit it and make all your work experience NOT RELEVANT. reason be say, DIBP SABI WASTE TIME verifying work experience o. If you submit without work experience, your grant can land in 2, 3 weeks... with work experience, na months o, especially if you fall into the hands of those niggas at GSM Brisbane... 65 Points will get you invited as a Valuer in the next round on Feb 1st... dont complicate tinz with work experience.. cheers Baba God, how far naw? Make this my matter even begin dey LOOK hopeful, abeg 5 Likes 1 Share |

Awwr.. Congratulations. Happy for you. Got a negative outcome from VETASSESS this morning. Qualification was positive but Employment was termed negative n not closely aligned with Agricultural scientist..but to Agricultural consultant. Hoping to get a positive feedback after a reassessment by changing nominated occupation. Anyone have an idea of how long reassessment takes? chidike: |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Bnimz(m): 3:35pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
teewhysafe:Do you NEED the work experience points? If you dont, you can proceed to EOI or try to make up with English.. I remember only Reading was 78... He'll get the required score this time around. |

chidike: I'm wondering if this applies to EA........was thinking it's the assessing body's head ache to verify employment history and allocate points. Does DIPB still re-verify the same experience? |

Dear House, has anyone tried the Skills Assesment support (Consultation on a Selected Occupation)-i.e. the telephone service by VETASSES? I want to know how it went as I might be needing the services (I am not sure of the occupation to choose). |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by teewhysafe(f): 3:45pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
I require a positive assessment of both Qualification and Work experience to be able to submit an EOI. I am not even claiming points for Work experience. Bnimz: |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Bnimz(m): 4:02pm On Jan 23, 2017 |
OzyMigrant:The assessing body decides whether the employment is CLOSELY RELATED or RELEVANT to the nominated occupation...as well as how many years of employment are relevant...what skill level the employment was at... etc... the technical professional ish... DIBP verifies whether the employment claim is GENUINE in the first place.... see the difference? |

Hello everyone and a big thank you to everyone that has been committed to this thread. My husband wants to nominate Electrical Engineering Draftsman as advised. He's written IELTS but had 6.5 in 4 bands and 7.5 in speaking. He would re-write later but wants to start writing his CDR so he can start his skill assessment. Pls a sample CDR would be highly appreciated, most of the samples we found online were for Electrical Engineering. Thank you so much. |
