yak 130 is a twin engines , an advanced pilot training aircraft, able to replicate characteristics of Russian 4th and 5th generation fighters (pak fa)
Kai t 50 is single engine , an advanced pilot training aircraft for F16 and others US aircraft .

- so it's easy , if an air force used or want to order russian jets : fulcrum, flankers family, chinese copy and variant they should go for yak 130
- if they use US jets and western single engine jets and variants then the choice is KAI T 50

No amount of repetitive assertion is going to magically transform your layman's opinion into fact.
For what it's worth, here's my opinion: it's a pity the EADS Mako/HEAT didn't takeoff (geddit?). About the Yak, I'd rather opt for the same plane but in western garb, the Aermacchi M-346 Master.

There are pics of the Peshmerga sporting South African Y3 Grenade Launchers in Iraq/Syria; Houthis with upgraded Ratels & Elands in Yemen; Truvelo sniper rifles in Libya; etc, etc. UAE & Saudi incompetence knows no bounds.

off topic i am fan of the self loading mortars, helps in reducing casualties during peace time ops and during war too.

As a Saffer in uniform, you don't have to convince me of the utility of mortars. When I was in the DRC, it was gob-smacking to observe our 81mm outperforming the D30.
And of course, our breech-loading mortar is something else.

Nigeria is most likely going to prefer M-346 Master.
It has Yak-130 DNA anyway but our NAF prefers western stuff. What will swing it towards L-15 is the existing weaponization of that platform. With Master you probably have to pay big bucks for integrating weapons

The Houthis do not use Elands to my knowledge, only (French) Panhard AMLs.

The following photographs depict AML type vehicles in Yemen.

None of these are Elands, as they lack 1) the brushguards over the headlamps, 2) the upraised commander's cupola with vision blocks, 3) the additional radio antenna mount towards the front of the turret, or 3) the layer of padding on the exterior of the 90mm turret near the gun mantlet.

All Yemeni AMLs were purchased second-hand from France in the late 1990s and some were later upgraded in Saudi Arabia but at no point did RSA have anything to do with them.

However, if you did hear it somewhere on good account that the Houthis have deployed Elands I'm not discounting the possibility and would like to hear more on that.

Today, planning was finalized for the upcoming Flintlock military exercise to be hosted by Chad from late February through mid-March. The event will take place in N’Djamena and Chadian military training sites through mid-March.

“This is a tremendous opportunity for our nation’s military to strengthen our relationship with our neighbors,” said Gen. Zakaria Ngobongue. “It is also a chance for us to be involved in the community doing civilian-military outreach.”

Chad will host more than 800 military personnel from more than 24 nations as home of the Flintlock exercise joint multinational headquarters. While primarily focused on military training, Flintlock will also feature humanitarian, medical and veterinarian outreach events as well as opportunities for local religious and civil society leaders to engage with their military colleagues. On Wednesday, U.S. and Chadian officials dedicated a new parking ramp for transport aircraft and a headquarters building to support the exercise.

“This is the third time Chad has hosted the Flintlock exercise. With multiple hosts, this year will truly test our ability to coordinate across borders,” added Gen. Zakaria.

The overall exercise will bring together approximately 2,000 service members from more than 24 African, European and North American partner nations. Flintlock is U.S. Africa Command’s premier Special Operations Forces exercise and this year includes activities in Burkina Faso, Chad, Cameroon, Niger, Mauritania, Morocco and Tunisia.

The exercise is designed to strengthen the ability of partner nations in the region to protect their borders, provide security for their people, and increase the ability of all partners to work together to respond to crises.

Participating nations include Burkina Faso, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Chad, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Tunisia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, United Kingdom and the United States.
