Tinfoil:

It makes me sad to see Nigeria and Amisom countries spend billions on their militaries while trying to defeat haram and shabab. Unfortunatly haram and shabab CANNOT be defeated militarily. There are 2 ways these two groups can be destroyed completely, and in less than 5 years:

1. Enabling the communities in which they have a support base to make a living; thrive; by paying them a wage to have them invest their labor in public works in their communities like building schools, roads, sanitation,... Ban all NGOs, their handouts kill self-sufficiency.
2.Equiping, paying an above average salary, and giving proper living conditions to the police in the base communities.

The actual enemy is poverty.
You're making sense until you added the 'coloured'.
Poverty? Indeed!
The kind of "Poverty" that makes them gather stones to buy Assault Rifles, MGs and AAs?

The "Poverty" that spurs them into plucking leaves to pay for Mortars, RPGs, Bombs, Anti-Tank missiles, SAMs and Technicals.

The kinda Poverty that propels them to employed VBIEDs/PBIEDs/IEDs to kill and maim thousands!

Oh! My bad! The Poverty had made them Millionaires and Billionaires.......

Yeah! The more they killed, the more Billions that get paid into their bank accounts.

Everyone of those terrorists must be stinkingly Rich by now.

I'm poised to hold same view everyone held about you....a Terrorist Symphatizer.

Patchesagain:

He is, for once, correct.

Food/Clothing Aid has destroyed small-scale farmers and textile markets.

Drought and natural disaster usually help in development,

Take drought for example: good/clever farmers are often in a better position than others during a time of crisis. Hence can sell their wares at higher prices (decrease in supply, increase in demand), thus they generate more capital. Because the drought has slaughtered the competition, and killed people themselves you now have an increased supply of land and a decreased demand to occupy it. Hence these surviving farmers are able to use the capital they generated earlier to buy the land of the farmers who have failed... expanding their operation, increasing their output and thus the cycle starts over - they generate more capital and use the capital to aquire more land to generate more capital. In a couple generations large scale commercial farms (though lacking sophistication) begin to arise.

Food aid destroys this natural cycle.

[PS: Look into the ANC's drought relief from last year and see if you can figure out what they are doing.]

The European renaissance, for example, was only possible because of the Black Death.
You are being sacharstic right?
in any case, you should donate your brain for scientific research when you kick it (the bucket)

I like that RWS visible in the background, I wish something like that was the primary weapon for NNS Karaduwa.

Can you make out the 30mm on the Karaduwa in this photo? I've not seen any close up photos but a guy in this forum claimed it carries an RWS as it's main gun.

Is that a camera I'm seeing on the gun?

I just want 3 bigger boats, 60 meters each built. A couple more also exported.

3 boats armed with a 40mm and 4 x Anti-ship missiles. cool

the poverty which allows any person with radicalist discourse who has good external funding to recruit tens of thousands of poor men and women and children easily, giving them some money arming them and sending them to kill their own nigerian brothers or explode themselfs

so yes decrease the poverty and economic devloppment is the most important to fight terrorism

Yeah I can see a camera on the left side of the cannon, Denel ?

The manufacturer can get a foreign partner to help refine the design a bit further, this can double the odds for exportation, price will be its biggest advantage.

Yes thats the way, more control of the goverment in the country + good economic policies, we dont have to forget that military is still a good way of wining the war against those muder Bleep. But this is only cuting the internal support and funding of the groups.. I have to understand that in those comunity there are no enough support for groups like BH, Shabab, Aqmi and everything there are countries that found them with cash, and everything look a AK47 is not 20 Naira ! The need for an good military is more than necessary, Police also. And we have to act ! We must put Brotherhood and Aqmi on our blacklist.
For the NGOs Im more than ok with you, we are not in europe ! NGOs must be accountable, and ban the bad ones

overhypedsteve:
true talk. We need to use our Gun Boat Diplomacy against Egypt so they will allow us to attack terror groups within their borders. Where is the Centenary? Oh wait. They ve got submarines, they ve got frigates they even have an fxxxing mistral class carrier. Let's just leave them man its not worth it, lets take our boat to Mali. Oh! So you mean there is no sea near Mali? Ok let's just go back home and wait for the basta#d terrorists, Let's stop killing minority religious groups like the Shites, let us form joint anti terror accords with these countries just like the one that exist between Israel and Egypt
http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2014/05/israel-egypt-security-cooperation-netanyahu-livni-nuclear.html read about its successes here.
Starting a joint anti terror effort that includes country from west and north Africa affected by terrorism would go a long way in reducing all this cross border crimes committed daily by this groups.

Lool thise will be very dificult I dout if Arab countries respect us... But in reality I dont even want their respect when our country is in danger we must act brotherhood is not like BH this group is more organise they even do politics ... They have more ressources they had a President ones in egypte and are activ in politics of arab nations ... The country close to us with those muderfuck are Soudan & Eqypt is the HQ

Hmmm. Please what is the effective range of an RPG? Cos those morons were carrying it around but never used it from the second video.

But where was the airforce? No artillery support those guys were just waiting to be killed and we failed to take that chance.

They lingered for quite some time and about 80% should have been wiped off. They lived to fight another day.

I don't know how some commanders feel at the loss of their subordinates if civilians are gutted they should be mad about it.

Not enough planes and artellery ... Put that happen even to big nations it is not always the arti or jets are near something big ..

I doubt if it's Denel.Although the 30mm for NNS Andoni was from Denel, I'm yet to see a 30mm from Denel that looks like this.

This vessel is an improvement from Andoni, getting a foreign partner would be nice, but we can only get better by building more and bigger.

Yes. I can sight a DSP there too.

The other one on black A Star is visible so if just one star ASP (unconfirmed) or two ASP (confirmed ) then I'll say that's a gathering of senior officers toh bad.

Heard there was an unrest in that area.

PS : I know that's not a star grin
