Would U Ever vote for Buhari's Party Again if Millions of Nigerians Starve Under their Stewardship? BBC Report: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-39238808 Nigeria The UN has described the unfolding disaster in north-eastern Nigeria as the "greatest crisis on the continent" - the full extent of which has only been revealed as extremist militant group Boko Haram is pushed back. It was already known the Islamist group had killed 15,000 and pushed more than two million from their homes. But as they retreated, it became clear there were thousands more people living in famine-like conditions in urgent need of help. The UN estimated in December there were 75,000 children at risk of starving to death. Another 7.1 million people in Nigeria and the neighbouring Lake Chad area are considered "severely food insecure" Buhari and his party need to act quickly to save lives and save Nigeria shame or the consequences will be dire. They need to quickly take control of the narrative or the Western world will go to town on Nigeria. |

Late president Yar'Adua was smuggled in on 10th march, 2009 President Buhari is smuggled in on 10th march, 2017. 10th march is now "National Smuggling Day" Take note! |

Kondomatic: I mean his party, All Progressives Congress (is it?) In the UK, should either the Conservative party or Labour party preside over events in Britain as equivalently cataclysmic as a Farmine would be for Nigeria, that party would not sniff power again for decades. It is not as if Nigeria (even now) does not have the means to stave off starvation on the scale being estimated by the UN. Allowing it to happen, therefore, may be rank incompetence and dereliction. |

Is Buhari APC? Do we vote based on the party line or on the capabilities of the candidate? The problem with Nigerians is that we're yet to understand that the party doesn't define the candidate but that the individuals within the party define the party! |

Derawiz: or the other one, lol. Nevertheless, the party presiding over catastrophic events should normally be made to pay at the ballot box, but i guess Nigerians invest parties with another layer of responsibility, namely tribal and religious ones. |

zionmade2: and yet, ultimately, everything rests on Living.Living, being alive is the basics or there's nothing. What's the point of leaders than cannot even ensure masses of their citizens live. Not even talking about infrastructures, just life ... I know some wiseguy is going to think or say only god guarantees life, in wich case, we may as well live in a theocracy |
