Hello everyone! I have learnt a lot from this thread. Please I need your advice.
My fiance and I are getting married soon and we plan to process OZ PR. When he was in Nigeria,he got an offer from RObert Gordon University to do his BSC in Engineering but to start from year 3. After year 3 he was given his BSC cert which he went ahead to have a Masters in the Uk. I will like to know if he will be positively assessed by EA. He has over 10years work experience.

What accord does his degree fall under? Will he need to write a CDR?

Please help a sister
Since he has a degree from UK, he will be awarded a prefessional engineer status under Washington accord. However, his 10 years work experience will be disregarded as those are pre-qualification experiences.
He doesn't need a CDR. He is also exempted from proof of English, he can write a letter to show that he is proficient. What he will need however are all his transcripts pre-BSc and for the BSc.

Please, I wanna know if it's possible to apply for this without job experience in the said field. Let's assume I meet up with the required points needed through English proficiency, age and state nomination (CSOL).

In addition, know that there is a charge (CHF 25) per seat selection based on the class of tickets purchased through IOM (economy special, I believe). However, Emirates usually try to seat families with kids together.

With the current scarcity of Nigerian passports at Immigration offices nationwide, I'd suggest you contact Emirates and re-confirm that you can travel with this almost-expired passport (as it's a PR visa not short-term)- the travel requirement states "a passport valid on arrival''. This is so you don't start the passport renewal process and it isn't complete before your travel date, leaving you in a quagmire- whereas your travel could have been done with the almost expired passport.

Hello Sir, I have sent you a mail regarding the CER reviews you made, patiently waiting for your reply.

Hello House. I have a B.Eng in metallurgical and materials engineering. However,I have worked in a bank for 4 yrs now. If I apply as an engineer, I will be doing so without job experience. I know this is possible. The link I have from this thread for CdR samples, I have been unable to access. Please could anyone assist with CdR samples especially for individuals without post college experience. Thanks in advance.

Can you recommend what states to apply for nomination with his engineering background?

Thanks to you Senior Bellong, I actually got admitted as a DE student into 200 level in 2012 with my HND result in mechanical engineering which I bagged in 2011.

You've got nothing to worry about as per positive assessment. EA is not VETASSES.

Don't worry about that... I was also admitted into 200 level in elect/elect unilag from a 1 year Diploma. It did not affect my assessment.

Result of IELTS of 4th March, 2017 have just been released. I had a near perfect score which recently expired. Surprisingly, my scores in this latest test is unbelievable, it is ridiculous. How can one go from LRWS 8/9/8/8.5 to 7/6.5/7/6.5 in just about 2 years? Please note that I lived in the UK for the better part of those 2 year period. "I'm not understanding".
Is someone there cooking up scores? If that is the case then IELTS in Nigeria is a scam.

Your result is valid for 3years for this purpose not 2years.

Hello everyone. I'm quite new here, I've been studying the thread for about 4 days now. I have some questions I would like to be clear about. I studied medical laboratory science ( it is on the CSOL and SOL list) and the assessing body (AIM) require that I send my documents for review after which if successful i'll be graded as medical lab technician and then invited to write an exam to be upgraded to medical lab scientist. ( the only venue for the exam in Africa is South Africa and I don't have that kind of funds). My questions are:
1.Medical Lab technician is on the CSOL list and the northern territory is sponsoring it.. Do I apply as a medical lab technician and if visa is successful. Write the exams in Australia to upgrade me to medical laboratory scientist?

Yes.. I think you can apply as MLT if you can't take the exams now.
