Oh good to know that you can gather some points from experience after your highest qualification (which is more relevant) as that's the one that VETASSES reckons with. So you should have no worries presenting both.

In as much as your MBA plus your present experience matches your nominated occupation, I DON'T think that you can leave out the first degree during assessment. Both needs to be assessed however, we'll wait for other gurus to clarify this.

In addition, depending on how relevant or irrelevant your BSc. is, your length (complete 5 years)of experience as a hotel manager may be used as a replacement for your BSc.

I have MBA (2009) and intend to nominate Hotel Manager .I have been working in a hotel as a manager since 2012. My 1st degree is way off-Education and I don't intend to use that. Also I have been working in the financial industry for 8 years before the MBA.

Hello to you all,

I will like to commend the effort of bellong for opening this thread, with a step-wise procedure of migrating to Australia, and others for their immense contributions.

I graduated with a Bachelors and Masters in Biochemistry, I am presently a PhD candidate in Biotechnology.

After thoroughly going through this thread, and the links attached. I realize, I will be qualified to apply for the listed occupation below after graduation;

1. Research and Development Manager
2. Life scientist nec
3. Natural and Physical Science Professional nec

These occupations are under Victoria state nomination list (CSOL).

On the "visa occupation nomination list for graduates", 'Biotechnology and Science' is used as a heading of the occupation table, but not in the list. My question is that, should I apply to VETASSESS based on 'Biotechnology' or one of the above listed occupations which are related to it?

Thanks

What is your own occupation?
I a systems/network administrator. I intend to use my CCNP certification as my Bachelors was in English and Literature. So I might be losing some of my years of experience after ACS assesses my documents.

Thank you for reply to my initially post.

Your CCNP will be assessed as equivalent to Diploma with major in computing.
You still need Bachelor degree or many years of experience if your bachelor degree is not computer related

@Bolaobby, thanks for your response.

Please will ACS consider years of working in IT before getting CCNP as experience?

Also I have a CCDP. Will I get seperate points for CCNP & CCDP?

Your years of experience start after your first degree.
CCNP and CCDP will be assessed separately but it will equate to Diploma in each case.
I submitted my CCNP and CCIE in my case and both was assessed as Diploma with major in computing

I strongly advice you write it yourself. You know best what you did better than what any third party can explain. Besides, it is wrong by EA's rules to let someone else write your CDR.
Google the anzsco job description of an electrical engineer. Ensure you address at least 60% of the roles. Use the MSA booklet as your guideline.

Thanks,
but the issue is that I want to speed it up and reduce costs (so if its not necessary, i'd rather skip assessing Bsc). I am more familiar with the people handling transcript for my Masters as I recently got a transcript from them.

Hello Gurus
I am a medical doctor with four years experience post graduation.
31years
Married to a medical doctor with same years experience.I took Ielts two years ago and total band score is 6.5
Reading 7.0
Listening 6.5
Speaking 7.0
Writing 7.0
Please which category of skilled PR should I go for 189 or 190
Thank you
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by sunvick(m): 9:18am On Mar 28, 2017
You would have to re-write you English test before anything else, cos that ielts gives you zero point. Which is not good for your (PR) ministry.
You decide which route to choose. Make I give you example, we have subclass (189,190,600,408,476,400,489 etc...).

Do small reading and research Doctor, don't be part of gimme pap crew!!

Really, it is unlikely that you can put away the BSc.documents during assessment. What was your first degree bro?

Please guys, your contribution is needed here....
Does he have to assess both BSc.&MBA seeing that the MBA is the more relevant to the nominated occupation?

NB: VETASSES is the assessing body

@Ogbevireo,

Ozymigrant is right. Your wife only need to activate the visa within the validity period and can return to Nigeria even from the airport. However, she needs to be back before 5 years

Meanwhile, if she read clinical pharmacy in her Masters, that means she is a pharmacist? Well, that is a long road.

What is your own occupation?

@Chidike,

Congratulations...

So you too get the PTE annointing and you have been silent all these while.. Diaris God ooo.
Please in place of certificate, can one use notification of result Or statement of result for assessment with ACS?

I nominated Supply and distribution Manager on the consolidated list which is my current position in my organization. I have 5 years experience in this position. The Australian institute of management which is the assessing authority requires that I should have a minimum of 3 subordinate managers reporting to me and 3 officers each reporting to the managers. It also requires that I report directly to the owners of the business. I do not meet any of these requirements. I meet other requirements listed. Do I stand a chance of getting a positive assessment from the authorities.
house please assist on this question as I am exactly on this dillema please to know the way forward. Thanks
