Hi people, I have a bachelor in law from the UK , i studied part of my programme in malaysia before conpleting it in the UKand afterwards i attained a Masters in Law degree from the same UK university. I returned bck for lawschool in nija as well as NYSC which i just completed. I am only a month old working at chamber. I got an admission in a canadian college for a post graduate certificate course in financial compliance administration so i can branch as a financial adviser. For better understanding of the course: A compliance officer is an employee whose responsibilities include ensuring the company complies with its outside regulatory requirements and internal policies. So its very law related as mostly these officers are often inhouse lawyers. What are my visa sucess chances for canada |

taiwo92: You can use the Bank Wire and make the payment, but it will take a couple of days if not weeks for the money to get to the beneficiary bank in Canada , also it will incure extra bank charges. If you can get someone in US or Canada to make the payment 4u, that will be faster and cheaper. |

I am actually in the same boat. However, I have decided to submit just the police report from my current location and possibly write a letter of explanation as to why I cant send the one from Nigeria. *More so, I sent a mail to the Visa office/embassy in my current location. They said that would do. |

keyboardone:It is very possible and a matter of fact, you even stand a good chance of getting a master admission with your 2:1 grade. You need to start looking out for schools that offer IT courses of your interest. Check their requirements and apply. This is the first step to begin the process. You can google through a couple of schools in canada or check the first page of this part 12 and find the link to a more narrowed search. Once you have established schools that match your interest, meet their requirements and apply. Age has nothing to do with a higher degree. As regards your visa application, age still has little or no effect as long as your overall situation as a visa applicant is more inclined towards being a better person careerwise or academically. Depending when you completed undergraduate, all study gap must properly be explained. Have this in mind in your quest to get admitted and eventually apply for a study visa. Your current activity must align with your intended program, it must present a need to attain more knowledge as a means to improve your progressive achievements hence you MUST choose rightly. Get started, at any point you need help, do yourself some good to ask, you will find useful ones here. All the best to you. |

Endowed36: DEAR COLLEAGUE, I HOPE THIS MEETS YOU WELL You have no prior academic background in finance. You have no work experience is finance. You work in a law firm. Hmmmmmmm; From a lawyer to another lawyer, i think your chances for visa is incredibly slim. The grounds for refusal will most likely be "purpose of visit" considering your profile. Please don't waste your time and money. Try as much as possible to secure a masters admission or look for a program that is obviously consistent with your law degree like ADR, Legal Research etc. If however, you have prior academic background in finance that you probably didn't mention; then you can apply. A visa officer would be curious to know why you suddenly decided to change your career path. I mean after your LLB, BL and suddenly you switched to finance. It is simply inexplicable. Even me, i am already seeing you as an economic migrant not to talk of the VOs who are trained to be cynical and skeptical. Regards. 1 Like |

hayqinsbFX: Get in touch with the clinic where you did your medical. When IRCC request for medicals, ask the clinic to send your old result to IRCC. Buh I think you'd pay certain fee to the clinic. Been a while boss. You just leave your peeps for hia. I know say the academic hustle tight for Canny. All the best bro. Chaii back in the days you were an asset to this thread. Regards. |

Hello House, I got a notification from Grad cord of my department that i have been recommended for admission for MA History at memorial university with fundings (the amount is unknown yet as i still await the official mail from SGS. My question is that my sponsor does not bear my surname but he is willing to do the sponsoring because its a year program. I dont know the documents to put together to back this up as MUN dont take tuition deposit until resumption. What other proof could be given to show his sincerity. Your responce will be greatly appreciated. |

IRCC requests I upload a file in that section before submission. I think this is because I said yes when asked if i have done medicals in the last one year. Yeah bro, back in the days. Life is a phase and that phase of my life cant be forgotten. yemdogg: 1 Like |
