At bolded.... It is very easy for me.... grin

I know Oga Forgiveness will bury me for this but if I am given those three options to drop one and bring in Onyekuru, then I will drop Kayode despite his fine debut for the team. I feel Nacho and Success brings far more to the table than Kayode.

But again, Kayode is a no.9 not a wing forward. So he may get an invite even if Onyekuru is to be considered. I think the person under the threat of being dropped is Ahmed Musa.

Now I don't know if Rohr has the guts to take this decision to exclude Musa just as he has done with Ighalo and Ideye. Time will tell..... wink

Hehehehe! Bury you for what kwa? grin

Seriously, Onyekuru is more of a LW while Kayode is a CF player.

They are not competing for a position.

I agree, they paid too much to just sell him after half a season. I don't think even 30m is a enough for them to consider. Remember Kante was bought for peanuts.

If he has a great season next year, he will be on the move.

Best news of the day for me...... Rohr means One hell of a business mehn!!!!!..... coz I was kinda worried about how we are gonna keep shape and carry on in the momentum we have built overtime.... ahead of the next competitive games coming up in June and in August/September. And it seems he has eyes to invite some fresh talents for close-up view also..... maybe this is Onyekuru's chance alongside the other greenhorns to make an impression for the future?

Rohr Rules Out Summer Holidays For Iheanacho, Iwobi, Ndidi Until After South Africa Game

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that he plans to invite fresh young players to a training camp in France, ahead of the national team’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa in June.

The training camp will start next month, meaning the Super Eagles stars will not be allowed to proceed on holidays at the end of season in most European countries.

“We have a programme to work together as a team. We have arranged for camping in France and we have been invited for some friendly games, although it is not FIFA window.

“We have some young players who we need to look at and also some of them that have finished their season in Europe,” Rohr told New Telegraph.

The Super Eagles, after winning the 2013 AFCON, failed to qualify for the 2015 and 2017 editions but Rohr is optimistic of his wards will make the cut in 2019.

“They need to work hard, we have two and half weeks to prepare for South Africa after which we will play another friendly game to accommodate some other players that will be ending their season in June, especially the players playing in China.”

Rohr is back in Nigeria and was at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday to watch a league game between AS Racine and Warri Wolves.

I think we need a No 9 who plays regularly in his club for the remaining World Cup Qualifiers. The Nacho we saw in the match against senegal wasted some chances though he later scored the equalizer and this can be attributed to his lack of playing time in his club.We can make a list of No 9's in Europe.Nacho can come in as a substitute. We should avoid the mistake of fielding a player who hardly gets playing time.We need strikers that score when they get the chance.A friendly match tells us more about our team. Before the 2014 World cup.USA defeated Nigeria 2-1in a friendly. One of the goals was caused by Yobo's mistake. We should field regular and in form players especially in the wings they play for their clubs.

No! They are indeed exceptional.

Didn't you see Ali goal and assist yesterday? It was awesome.

Dele Alli is a better player than Iheanacho. It's the plain truth.

Besides, Eto and Drogba are not British or European but you na. grin

Iheanacho should leave City. The coach body odour sorry body language suggest he doesn't need Iheanacho and he is wanted out.
I agree wit u that dele alli is a good player but not better than nacho...
what stands dele alli out is the opportunity he got..playtime. I believe nacho could have done same if he had same opportunity

Aluko can play on the wings as well as no.10 for us. Besides, on current form he is better than Iwobi. Aluko is best suited for the physical football that we are going to face in the qualifiers. He can score more than Iwobi.

Lets not be biased Aluko is better than Iwobi now.

Form first, sentiments aside.

I hate when people pardon nonsense. How can a team get attacked and people are still say they should be prepared for that. River United were attacked in Sudan and CAF need to work on calming down violent crowds.

I hope we won't start acting like arsenal fans with this kid. As a young man his form is always going to be like the stock market but we have to believe in his quality and shun everything else.
Aluko is ahead of Iwobi in so many areas, experience, creating goal scoring chances, goals, best suited for physical opponents, etc

Besides what is the essence o inviting a player to play games he is not suited for

I like Sone Aluko.... I really do. I even know about his bad-ass sister who is a top striker for Chelsea Ladies... Eniola Aluko. I have followed Aluko from the period just before the 2009 FIFA U-20 WC where he featured alongside Rabiu Ibrahim, Ighalo, And co...

Aluko is a class act.... but compared to Iwobi... I would just say this...

In Alex Iwobi, we have a potential World class player..... he is still so young but have shown he is a player for the big occasions too (forget the few times he has been ruffled... it happens to every young player.. even Mbappe got ruffled on his full debut for France vs Spain and in the coupe de ligue final in France).

I repeat... in Alexander Iwobi, Nigeria has another super potential world class player that can go on to be "actually" World Class in the next few years.... but in Omat sone Aluko, we have a player who was never close to being world class.... but it takes nothing from him... he is still a class-act... I admire his talents. smiley

Algeria is not so physical.... are they? We will need Iwobi for Algeria...

Even against Physical Zambia in Ndolaz didn't Iwobi deliver?

But on current form now.... yes... I agree That Aluko Trumps Iwobi... but in the long run... mehn! I will always pick Iwobi ahead of Aluko....

We all complain of his struggles with physical teams which is true nonetheless but again he did pretty good against Zambia. Also he faces teams like Stoke City in the EPL.... for me ooo... stoke is the Cameroon of the EPL.....

But it is a tough call... it is not as straightforward as you are making it... choosing between Aluko and Iwobi would not just be based on who copes better with physical teams... it is about the synergy of the team....

Anichebe will give Sunderland a lift, says Moyes

Sunderland's Victor Anichebe
by Austin Ditlhobolo

Sunderland AFC manager David Moyes believes that Victor Anichebe can help end their goal drought in the English Premier League (EPL).

The Black Cats have failed to score in six consecutive league matches and their coach Moyes is now banking on Nigerian striker Anichebe to end their goal drought.

The 28-year-old, who has three league goals for Sunderland this season, recently returned from a long-term injury which he suffered four months ago.

"Getting Victor Anichebe will help a little bit,” Moyes told chroniclelive.co.uk.

“I’m not saying he will come in and score us another 10 or 20 goals, but it will help us make some more opportunities.

Anichebe returned to action during Sunderland's 2-0 defeat to reigning EPL champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

“I think if Victor’s shot had gone in off the post, it would have given everyone a lift," he added.

"It would have been 1-1 with about 10 minutes to go and it might have been a different story.”

Yusuf Backs NPFL Players As Rohr Watches MFM Vs El - Kanemi

Super Eagles assistant coach Salisu Yusuf has said that head coach Gernot Rhor will be in Lagos on Sunday to watch Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC play against El-Kanemi Warriors, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.

The Eagles boss made a promise in London during the recent international break to watch some Nigeria Professional Football League matches as the call for home-based players to be in the Eagles team.

"The technical adviser, Gernot Rhor, will be in Lagos next Sunday to watch MFM play El-Kanemi," Yusuf told Completesportsnigeria.com.

"This is one of the games he intends to watch in the NPFL.

"During the international break, he promised to watch some NPFL matches and he will keep to his promises. Myself, I've watched a lot and will come to Lagos to see MFM play in one of their matches but not the one against El-Kanemi. I just left Lagos today (Thursday)."

MFM are third in the NPFL table with 30 points from 17 matches while El-Kanemi are second on the log also on 30 points after 17 matches but with superior goals difference of +6 as against MFM's +3.

Plateau United remain on the summit with 31 points after 16 matches.

Yusuf also assured the national team home-based players that they stand a chance of making Nigeria's 2018 World Cup team if the team qualifies for the tournament next summer.

"The Super Eagles is not just about the foreign-based players," he added. "The home-based players are also in the equation.

"For example, we want to qualify for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) and some of the exceptional players can be part of the World Cup squad in Russia. Then we must have seen their qualities against other African teams.

"But first we have to qualify for the tournament. We will play the winner between Togo and Benin Republic one week before the World Cup qualifier against Cameroon in August. I believe in the quality of players in the NPFL."

Yusuf further explained why the home-based players will possibly not face African champions Cameroon in August.

"We shall be having separate camps for both the Team A and Team B Eagles sides for the CHAN and World Cup qualifiers which are one week apart," he said.

"You don't spend long time with the foreign-based players like you would with the guys at home so these are the things. However one or two of the home lads may find themselves in the team for Cameroon."

so let's make use of kayode for the Cameroon tie. the guy has stamina and physique...
he can live up some of our expectations
still believe iwobi can play the physical taste of Africa football should he be deploy to the middle not the flanks...he should play as 10 definitely as sub

Hahahaha. Did u watch Iwobi against Mancity?

If Iwobi plays in that championship he will dust Aluko.

As if Aluko never played in the EPL.

Besides, Mikel will be back for the SA game and Iwobi goes back to his Left wing position.
So the comparison should be between Mikel and Aluko.

If u want to draft Aluko to the Right Wing then compare him with Victor Moses.
