You need to go and see the scientific breakdown of Ronaldo's ability. The guy was already genetically perfect for this game, before he started training.
Don't let those clips fool you bro

Everyone have their own unique way of playing football, if we dissect them and their moves something really cool will be discovered

You can look at everything with a microscopic view. ...How he dribbles, the angle BTW his legs and his flying arms in motion, the way he leaps, how he generates force to move, blah blah blah

Everyone is unique, am sure if we have something like that for Drogba or Rooney at their peaks we will all be amazed

Things like that are picked up with training, I don't think it is part of him because we didn't see him do all does tricks at United or Lisbon
If I start training today, by December I should have developed a way that fits me most to shoot and nod.. ...And That will be special if anyone looks closely enough cause it's what fits me perfectly and no one else

He trained till it became part of him

How can you say this with a straight face? It was even his unusual skill moves on the ball that forced Fergie to bid for him after he tortured us in a pre season friendly when he was at Lisbon! Even when he got to united in his early years he got tagged as a "show pony" due to his preference of engaging in "yanga moves" with no end product until Fergie and the other coaches trained him to become a more rounded player!

Cr7 has always had the tools to be great..all he needed was the right workshop which he found @ old trafford!

There is no point in this argument really. This is just another facet of the "Nature vs Nurture" argument that some of the world's smartest philosophers, psychologists and geneticists have been debating for the past 2 to 3 centuries.
If they couldn't come to a common agreement then i doubt we would solve it here on NL. cheesy

its clearly a dig at all the attackers at united ibra inclusive,if you read d article,he states that even if chicha comes in 10 to 20 mins to the end of the match,he'd still score the same 20 goals nd above that ibra has scored all season playing 90 mins..he praises Hernandez ability to pounce on loose balls, make good movements and he calls him a natural killer..and honestly I agree with him,our attackers this season are just bottlers,I think he and pep are suffering the same thing, tho people criticize peps defence, but if you watch closely, you'd see that they are also not converting close to half of their chances

I usually tend to avoid Shouting who to sign or what staff we should hire till the off-season but I must say I'm disappointed no one has brought up Ballotelli...All summer 16 i kept yapping about him and look at him doing his magic at Lille.

Honestly, I am a tight fisted Muthafvcker and it would bawl me out if we splashed excessively on a pussy_ ass Nigga like Griezman that doesn't want to come.

Well, ima just wait and see if Mo ends up getting fired (Yes Dear Lord) till then just wanted to tip y'all to watch out for my mans Ballotelli

For the first time in a long time, I agreed with everything Mourinho said. There's nothing for Mourinho to "show the current attackers". What you don't have, you don't have it. Even Zlatan is not exempted from the description that Mourinho gave. For example during the Everton match in the first-half, Young in one of his rare occasions of smartness evaded his marker and whipped a low cross in front of the Everton goal post, Zlatan and I think Rashford were there, but none of the the duo had that killer instinct of Chicharito to anticipate the cross, run and stick out their legs and jab the ball into the net.

Immediately that chance went begging, I became sad and said openly, I miss Chicharito, and few days after Mourinho echoed my sentiment. Even Zlatan lacks that "Inzaghi instinct" that Chicha has and he can't learn it in his old age. At his old age, cunny Inzaghi was still cunningly invading defenders, and sliding with intelligence to meet crosses whether low or high. Knowing where to be and when to move in anticipation of a pass is what makes people like Inzaghi and Chicharito very useful. No skills, but they are like football bloodhounds, they smell a pass from a mile away.

I miss that ninja. Too bad we let him go without a serious chance. He missed a PK and Van Gaal never forgave him. SMH!!

He scored 2 goals against Lille last night...

But that's not enough reason to get him.

That boy is a calamity waiting to happen... A time bomb ticking away..
He will singlehandedly disorganize the dressing room and bring unnecessary negative publicity to the club...

Plus he fouls other players A LOT more than he scores goals...

If you dont have the talent you cant train it, Ronaldo had the talent Quaresma had the talent. Ronaldo worker many times harder than Quaresma that is why he is considered one of the best ever, Ahmed Musa isnt on the same skill level as these players If Musa trains harder he might be a better player than say Quaresma but will never beat someone who had the talent and trains

Its like in academics, Some are brilliant, some study hard, The ultimate student is one who is naturally brilliant and now studies hard
Don't be so sure.

Messi does not train half as hard as many footballers do. Talent.

Ronaldo trains harder than any known footballer. Skill.

Talent is inborne. Skill is learned.

Some students don't have to burn the candle. Others have to.

Both ways you can reach the top. Simple.

(In all, practice makes perfect).

It is even possible Ahmed Musa and Quaresma trained harder than Ronaldo. Ahmed Musa may have trained harder than the other two because African players train very hard while coming up. Some even play two matches a day.

But I have noticed something, you appear to think talent is only about what one had naturally (from birth). The truth is when you say someone is talented, you are also saying he is a success, an authority in his field, etc. Success is usually as a result of natural ability and hard work. Therefore, when we talk about the greatest football talent, Quaresma cannot be mentioned. You look at talent only on the latent context. That's wrong.

There are many connotative meanings of talent. It could even mean money.

But when used in relation to physical ability; especially when compared to skill or 'learning' (I did some sociology), talent is from birth.

For example, speed. Some kids just run faster than others. They have never even thought of it as athletics not to even imagine being trained to run. Others include: eye-hand/leg coordination, quick thinking, proactivity, stamina, endurance, confidence etc.

These abilities are not learned but can only be developed.

In terms of skill, learning must take place. Learning is a character 'change' not development. For example: reading, writing, bending a ball, ball control, shooting accuracy.

Talents help in acquiring skills, but both are not 'exactly' the same.

Talents help in acquiring skills, but both are not 'exactly' the same.

I do not agree that when related to physical ability talent is connected to birth. Most commentators used 'talented' and 'talent' when talking about the proficiency (finished products) of sports men and women.

We hear and read about how much talented Serena Williams is, Usain Bolt, Xavi, Inieta, etc. When you read how they are analyse, their talent is not discussed in relation to when they were young but in relation to what techniques they currently apply.

Today, no one says Macheida is a great talent despite his potentials ten years ago. Football and sports talent is discussed on one's proficiency, not some imaginable unacquired skills.

Secondly, do you know from my personal observation that kids who ride bicycle around tend to run faster? Even in primary school and junior secondary school, those pupils and students who rode their bicycles to school those days were faster on the track and football field. So it is possible those kids you think were faster from birth, that something actually propelled them to be faster than their peers.

There is element of training to every success or talent. However, training makes more impact at young age. If Messi didn't train until he got to 15 years before he trained for the first time, he would probably have been a worse footballer than Edward Ayanke.

Again, if Messi didn’t train until he got to 20 years, he would not have been able to trap a simple pass. He wouldn't have been qualified to represent Market women FC.

Why do you think lawn tennis players, swimmers, are put under serious training from age 3-6? It is to make the game part of their brain and body system. They were not born with it as such. Let them not train and boast of talent, then when they return at age 13 they would have missed it forever.
