All i saw was a 15 million bid by leicester, apart from that the rest is between Pinnick and his father. We should learn not to speak too soon in the media about these types of players, it brings them extra pressure.

Oliseh Sad As Dutch FA Deduct Six Points From Fortuna Sittard

By James Agberebi:

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh has been left unhappy after his second division club Fortuna Sittard were punished with a six-point deduction by the Dutch Football Association for financial irregularities from 2016, Comple tesportsnigeria.com reports.

Oliseh confirmed the sad news on his Twitter handle Tuesday morning.

Fortuna Sittard, who were battling relegation prior to Oliseh's appointment, were on 38 points and 15th in the 20-club league.

With the six points deduction, they will now drop to 17th and will have 32 points and 17 points away from a play-offs spot.

"Sad news @fortunasittard the Dutch FA deducts us six points for financial irregularities from 2016! Hurts our silent playoff aspirations. Painful!" Oliseh wrote on Twitter.

"I feel for my players, staff, club and the fans who in the recent three months have finally started to walk with pride! God knows best!"

War against match fixing: NFF partners DSS, police, EFCC

From Romanus Ugwu, Abuja
TheNigeria Football Federation (NFF) has secured a partnership with the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria police, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC) to prosecute anybody involved in any form of match fixing.

NFF Integrity Officer, Dr Christian Emeruwa, who made the disclosure in a chat with Daily Sunsports yesterday revealed that the move is aimed at sanitizing the game in the country.

In his words: “The NFF Integrity Unit has commenced the process of getting security agencies involved in match fixing cases.

They will help us carry out thorough investigation when the need arises. As we speak, there is a DSS desk officer working with us in the Integrity Unit. We have also gotten a desk officer in the ICPC and just last week, we were able to conclude the same partnership with the Nigeria police through the office of the Director of Sports in the IGP’s office.

The idea is very simple, while we are looking at the sporting sanction from the side of the NFF, the various security agencies will handle the criminal and corruption investigation proper.

You know that the federation does not have the capacity and powers to investigate account transactions, trail telephone conversations and SMS exchanges.”

The NFF buff stressed that his unit has communicated stakeholders of the latest development insisting that it is no longer going to be business as usual.

“We have tried as much as possible to sensitise all the critical stakeholders and will continue to do so. We are appealing to everybody involved in football organisation to key into the program. The whole idea is to have a sanitised football environment where people can play the game without any form of off the field manipulation.”

Odey will get his chance. Let him start showing his quality at a higher level.

Until you up his level how can you show his quality, you are presenting a catch 22.

Dele Alli left league 1 to Tottenham and to England all in one season.

Pogba left Man U academy to Juventus first team and the rest is history.

Give the young man a chance, is there anything to be lost but everything to be gained.

That are several Nigerians who are doing well in their clubs that have not been given a shot. For instance, Adi has been doing it for longer in a better league and has not gotten the opportunities. Then we have Onyekuru and Onuachu, who are also scoring goals with better competition.

It is excellent that he is playing really well in the Nigerian league but playing at national team level with the best African and European teams is a different cup of tea. Even players like Ighalo and Ideye have struggled.

What will Odey be adding to the national team if he joins today.

Rohr Blast – We Cannot Tell The Real Age Of Nigeria League Players

As debate continues to rage on over the none inclusion of home based players in the Super Eagles, coach Gernot Rohr has hinted that age might be a factor why they are not getting a look in.

Rohr who started by including at least one home based player in his squad has failed to name any of in consecutive games in the 3-1 win over Algeria and the recent friendly against Senegal.

Goalkepper Ikechukwu Ezenwa is the only home based player to have find favour in the Franco-German coach, but even at that he has found games hard to come by as third choice shot stopper.

” The door is always open for the best players. The Nigeria League players must prove themselves with the CHAN team first, because at the moment we have a winning team, so the home based players must prove they deserve a place in the team”, Rohr said in an interview on Brila Fm monitored by Owngoalnigeria.com.

” There is an existing problem with Nigeria based players. We cannot tell their real age”.

Trabzonspor Interested In Leicester City Striker Ahmed Musa

Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor are interested in signing Nigerian international Ahmed Musa ahead of the opening of the transfer window.

Milliyet has claimed that Trabzonspor midfielder Eddy Onazi has held preliminary talks with the Leicester City striker about joining him in Turkey.

Trabzonspor will cough up around €20 million if they acquire Musa outright, so a one-season loan deal is the most feasible scenario if Leicester and the striker agree to the proposal.

This season, the former CSKA Moscow star has been involved in 31 matches in all competitions, scoring 4 goals.

The 24-year-old has a valid contract with the Premier League champions until the summer of 2020.

Talented Hannover Striker Noah Bazee Back In Full Training

Noah Bazee has resumed full training with Hannover ahead of their German 2. Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Braunschweig on Saturday.

The Super Eagles hopeful had been on the sidelines since returning to Germany from London, where he attended a training camp with the Nigeria national team, but trained with the Hannover squad for the first time on Monday.

Bazee practiced for 95 minutes with the first team yesterday without suffering a relapse of his persistent knee injury.

Coach Andre Breitenreiter has four more days to observe the talented striker before deciding whether or not to include him in his 18-man squad for the game at the HDI-Arena.

The 20-year-old will train with the Super Eagles next month and is in line to make his debut against Burkina Faso in a friendly in France on May 26, according to Gernot Rohr.

There is no crime in leaving him out either.
1. Nigeria is in the driving seat of the qualifiers.
2. The coach has seen him play first hand. And if he doesn't think he is good enough for the Super Eagles based on what he already has, so be it.

terzurum5:

You know know say him na oga experience?

There are so many hidden talents in our land that need just small chance to be better than Kelechi Iheanacho and co.

Verdict: There is no crime in calling Odeh to the Super Eagles.

We are not saying he must feature him during the games.
Let him train with the senior members of the squad and the experience/lessons learnt with always come to bear on his career.

It will boost his CV as well.

Now if you can't invite a fit and inform Odey, why invite an unfit Osimhen

nice one!!!

tbaba1234:
The door is always open for the best players. #NPFL players must prove themselves with the CHAN team first. I hope that Stephen Odey can get better because I have a @ManCity striker in my team. At the moment we're a winning team, so the #NPFL players must prove they deserve a place in the team. The problem before the Algerian game was becasue the #NPFL players were on break, so we couldn't tell about their form. There is an existing problem with Nigerian based players. We cannot tell their real age. We've not been lucky enough to play many games, so we have to talk with the players and keep in touch. We've committed time in finding full backs. We have an option in Ola Aina of @ChelseaFC , who has committed to Nigeria. We have Tyrone, Madu who may have game time issues, but we're working to get more options. I am confident we can get players. We've made contact with Top executives in the German FA about a friendly, so we could play them. Not everything is about money. I have a good working relationship with @thenff , I have good players too. My assistants are scouting the #NPFL, Imama may have enough time now, we are following the league. I work more for my assistants than I do for myself. They have families and of course they'll be worried if they don't get paid. We have a technical committee that is doing everything to make sure we do well. Nigeria needs more academies, less synthetic pitches. Nigeria is the biggest football nation in Africa, given the passion.

Gernot Rohr

Several points by Rohr.

@bolded It looks as if Rohr has been listening to me.
