chubbya2:Congratulations! Since bSc from Nigeria is assessed as Associate degree, I have bsc in Public administration from a state University and an Msc in Human resource management from a federal university of agriculture With close 6years working Experience in HR, my question is as fellows: With my Msc In HRM can my bsc in Public Administration be upgraded to a AQF BSc? I do not have Post experience yet as I just concluded my Msc, will my Pre experience be counted since HR is a branch of Public Administration? |

Hello All, First I will like to thank the initiator of this thread(Oga bellong), it is a fantastic initiative.I have been a silent observer on this thread for about 2 months and i have learnt a lot. Thank you everyone. I observed we do not have too many accountants coming here. However i believe I can still get a response to my enquiry. I completed all my assessments last month and was about to go on skill select but decided to hold on because i noticed the minimum point for ITA for accountants has been 70 and i currently have 65points with state nomination. Now i have decided to redo the english test to enable me claim 20 points to boost my overall score. My worry now is that the quota for accountants has been filled up for this year and it is one of the flagged occupations. Do you think it will still be on the CSOL/SOL when the system is refreshed in July? |

Buddie14: Sorry to hear this Buddie. Without going through your job desc for those banks I can tell u that u were not doing the job of a marketing specialist. Relationship officers and Bank executives are not marketing specialists, they are more of packaged sales reps. An ideal marketing specialist is involved in market research and data analysis of customer purchase trends. However, in Australia or Melbourne specific, marketing specialist which you hardly see such titles - instead you see Marketing Consultants or Campaign Specialist, are more into creating campaign briefs, creating marketing content with brand teams or agencies, business case creation for a marketing campaign and are not required to be analytical - as in maths or stat academic background. With this I can already sense a divergence in your job description sent to VETASSESS. Moreover, its best you steer clear Marketing specialist as the sponsorship chances are slim being that only ACT and SA I think sponsor this occupation. Not checked for a while though. Except there have been changes, then ignore this last paragraph. 2 Likes |

Required Skill Level: This occupation (HR Adviser) requires a qualification which is assessed as comparable to the educational level of an AQF Bachelor degree or higher degree, in a field highly relevant to the nominated occupation; thus your BSc Pub Admin if assessed as Asso Degree, cannot be upgraded to AQF BSc) In addition to this, applicants must have at least one year of post-qualification employment at an appropriate skill level (That is work experience after your masters in HRM) Nevertheless, If employment is not postqualification, then five additional years of highly relevant employment are required. If the degree is not in a highly relevant field, three years of employment at an appropriate skill level completed in the last five years in a field which is highly relevant to the nominated occupation (your HR work Experience) is required. This is reduced to two years if there is an additional qualification at least at AQF Diploma level in a highly relevant field. A positive assessment of both qualifications and employment is required for a positive Skills Assessment Outcome. If you claim that HR is a branch of Public Administration, are your core subjects in HR? if yes do these subjects reflect on your transcript? You also stated that you have close to 6 years HR work experience, however, a year of work experience will be deducted during assessment; therefore you will be left with less than 5 years work experience. oreayo2011: You don't have to worry yourself, FLAGGED means it will be removed from SOL list (189) but remain on the CSOL list (190). And since you're already on track for 190, go for the English as you said, meet state requirement and you're on the home run. Submit your EOI immediately, 1 Like |

moscow30: Depends on the state you are applying for. VIC requires your English and work Assessment only. You can register for EOI and get the no but not to submit if I can remember vividly. . |

jayooh: Less dense regions. They are called growth areas. The developer buys a place like Ajah (Imagine when Lekki was the last bustop) and starts releasing it like biscuits (batches) - say Lekki Phase1, 2--10 and all the phases fall under one named estate like say Banana Island. Another example is the then Ikorodu or the then Ibafo. To get a block of land in a moderate/high density place, u will need to buy an old house (auction), demolish and then you have your land. |
