Good day all, To all those who have gotten their grant, congratulations. To those of us still in the process, don't relent our time would come. To those who take out time from their busy schedule to answer questions and give suggestions I say a very big thank you. I have read up on the thread and I have some questions. My spouse is the primary applicant, he has gotten a +ve response from vetassess waiting on ielts now which he would take next month. 1. I schooled in the UK, do I need police report as well as my spouse. 2. Can we go ahead and do medicals pending when he writes the ielts, where can we do it and how long isvit valid for?? Cc bellong and others please Thanks |

Good day all, please as regards to the PCC. Is it required to submit the certificate with the fingerprint form or just the certificate alone? Thanks |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by incemay: 8:57pm On Apr 15, 2017 |
majiouk2002: You will submit both, in fact just scan both as a single doc of 3 pages (you know the finger print form has 2 sides). |

majiouk2002: Further clarification needed please: My Mum and a niece qualify as "dependent family members" but wondering if what they meant was the immediate family members like wife and kids. I think I came across an info that parents can no longer be added as dependents during visa application. |

Please who has gotten past the EOI stage to the visa stage and what documents were required. I got my letter from ACS and at the stage of writing IELTS before moving to EOI. I didn't submit my payslip to ACS because where I worked there wasn't anything like payslip or bank statement to back it up. Please does anyone know how I'll fare at the VISA stage without those documents (payslip + Bank statement). And concerning Police report. I did my BSc in the UK for three years. Will i have to get a Police report from the UK as well? Returned to Nigeria 2016 Thanks Modified: Someone said once you cross the accessing stage that you are 70% - 80% done. akereconfi:U need to apply for police report in uk since u stayed more than six months. It is 45pounds or so...just google it.express tends to cost more.when u cross the assessment stage,ur waiting time reduces considerably and if u have complete documents,ur grant will be imminent. If u can present confirmation, reference letter and other supporting documents like tax and pension, they may fly...hope I answered some of ur questions |

With 237 pages, tens of grants or possibly hundreds, tomorrow makes it exactly 1 year since this thread was created. Within this short period, we have recorded lots of success stories and have managed to create a big family with lots of selfless people always ready to attend to others' need without any benefit. This thread no doubt, is amongst the most peaceful thread on Nairaland where there is no room for tribal bigots, e-wars, scammers and what nots. With every single visit to the thread one will always have a reason to be motivated. I have seen some of the most optimistic Nairalanders on this thread who has preserved even when it seems there is no hope ahead until they achieve their goals. I want to specially appreciate our number one man, Chief Bellong whose detailed explanations on the first page supercedes any information or advice I have ever seen from any other source as regards to Australian Skilled Migration. I also want to say a very big thank you to everyone who has contributed to this thread, you all are great and I'm proud to be a part of this family. 30 Likes |

What a success this thread has become. Bellong haff done well . Good luck to all applicants. I see mamajazz here. I swear you are everywhere. No be you I see for Canada thread Gone are the days people thought Australia was too far away(under developed country with snakes and kangaroo running around the streets and also trying to occupy peoples' houses) and only had eyes for the UK and US. How the mighty has fallen. I lie not, I saw Australia as a too far continent for me to travel to. I used to enjoy 6hrs flight to Nigeria anytime so when the option for Australia became open, I said NO. After months of fights with my siblings I finally said yes-grudgingly....many years down the line that yes I mumbled was the best YES I have ever said in my entire life Australia truly is a beautiful country with somewhat better economy than most developed countries. The minimum wage is one of (if not) the highest. Free health care. Better pay but some things can be expensive. Please my fellow Nigerians stop converting currencies when you get here because you go tire My advise to those coming as PR, bear in mind that you might not find a job in your field for months if not years after you get here. Make do with menial jobs..get the Australian experience e.g. 1. Hospital cleaner(the money can be good) 2. Care worker (most aged care homes require certificate in aged care others might not mind) 3. Eateries 4. Super market check out 5. Telecoms companies as a sales/customer rep For those who are looking to partake in the mining boom(which isn't such a boom at the moment) do certificate courses in mining and surveying. No one cares about Phd and masters here. Some plumbers are making $100/hr....and them no go school For those interested in Nursing for their partners...there are two types: Enrolled Nurse and Registered Nurse. Some people cannot be bothered studying to be Registered Nurses for 3 years so they opt for Enrolled nursing which is an 18 months course. Mobile Network: I have trialled Vodafone, Virgin, Optus, Telstra, Lycamobile, dodo, e.t.c and have finally settled for lycamobile. Cheaper deals than the rest of them in my opinion especially their data deals If you are coming as a PR include family members . The Ghanaians and Zimbabweans are good at this. They include dependent siblings in their application and they all leave Nigeria together. Emmmm. I "talk" too much All the best Cheers guys 24 Likes 5 Shares |
