OP, your story is touching. I respect first borns a lot because they are like experiments. Parents learn from their mistakes with the first child and that is why the younger children have it easier in life.

My elder sister for instance, my parents did a lot of trial and error with her which allowed them become better parents with us.

Let me give you mine as a last born

1.You are spoilt when your elder one cooks for you
2.You can't contribute to any decision making in the house.
3.Whenever you are bullied, you get a sorry and a pat on the head.
4.The smallest piece of meat is yours.
5.You should be like your elder ones

Abeg...Being a last born no be beans

The sacrifices you have to make. That is the major challenge most if not all first born go through. Also being held responsible for things that weren't even your fault.

lol
i know that feeling,
like you are given backpack filled with responsibilities to be worn your lifetime.

if the TV volume is low you are blamed
if your younger ones have not taken their bath or brush their teeth it is you they call,
they also blame you for recession.
if the girls have not prepared the meal you are also to be blamed grin

Well am not a firstborn tho. buh I know what it feels to because of my senior brother, you guys are trying seriously it's even in the bible set during the time of moses when they were asked to kill a lamb am put the blood on their door as a mark of touch not I guess. It was Pharaoh's son that suffered it since he was the first born. Well I thank God tho because unlike my brother I was\am very lucky. He suffered since from childbirth and his still suffering now sef. What I got with ease he suffered to get. even most churches sef this days they hold prayer for firstborns, Anointing for firstborn and stuff. God bless y'all firstborns out there you guys are the best

As a first born I used to point fingers at a lot of things whenever I faced difficulties. Truth is, almost anyone can face such difficulties too.

As first born children we tend to bear too much burden. Life became bearable when I realized I'm not the messiah and so, I cut off some excess baggages. That's not to say I don't reach out and assist from time to time.

I'm married now with my own family and they come first in everything I do.

I think it depends on the family and the age gap between the first and second born.

been a first born child is very disturbing and also challenging, so many things on ur head, ur mind and also ur heart. Am a first born child buh things have been very difficult like seriously loosing my dad at a younger age was very hard, everything at times falls the other way round. When you are not there the world would be @ ur neck, comparizm and others takes place, at tymes you feel like giving up buh at tymes you still have to prove some people wrong. Mine is not what is meant to be written but spoken

That's why most of you don't go far in life. Always complacent with their comfort zones.

Ah, I have 5 younger sisters,
All my clothes belong to them, sometimes I look for my pant and bra, everything I have is good in there eyes,
And when I get angry with them daddy will say , " she is your little baby" now , I have to share my pocket money with them even when they have their's
Awww this is so me. I have just 2 younger sisters that are never satisfied with their belongings. They want to take mine and add to theirs. Money nko, they'll say I'm the senior so I should find them "something". Going to my dad to complain, he'll say " Adannaya they're your sisters oo". It's all fun anyways
