Happy Easter to all. Once more I want to appreciate the good work you guys are doing here. I have started gathering and arranging my documents for EA. As I earlier posted I am going for Electrical Engineering. I have 10 years experience in the same company but my company has changed name. though the same address but as I was going through my documents from my file in the house. The employment letter confirmation letter bears company A while four reviews (promotion and appraisal) bears company B. Likewise the payslips have two different companies. Hope EA won't look at it as not consistent. I want to get the 15points for working experience. Please I need your suggestions. thanks. |

verocharles: You wouldn't have a problem, you should be fine. Just submit the relevant documents and pay slips. If you also have a detailed publication from the company that shows the change of name, then you can add it. The company should have a website, hence such details as change of name will be on the website and EA/DIBP can confirm from same. Cheers! |

@ dunsinogundele, bolaobby, OzyMigrant, catchdwind4rmkd, 40manlappy, oknee, tyosho, pingu2k5, bossladyMo, bellong ,vinsmuft At one point or the other, you have all talked about/considered/opted for NSW 190. I've just submitted my EOI for NSW 190 (19th April).. with 60pts calculated (55+5pts State Nomination). whats the average waiting period before getting invited by NSW? whats your personal experience "waiting period" before getting invited? Am currently working on retaking PTE (20) to shoot the point to 70 (state point inclusive). 189 is currently off the table for now as NOC 263111 has reached its ceiling for 2016-2017. with all these tsunami changes, waiting for July for it to re-open is not it for me, my ticket is already available (pun intended ) 2 Likes |

Mate, good thing is that you're motivated to improve your points via English. With 55 independent points, your chances are slim for NSW. This is because NSW happens to be one of the, if not the only, states that sponsor or nominate a large number of occupations. Also, the state prides herself with having numerous job opportunities and high pay rate. Consequently, 190 NSW is very competitive. And as Mctowel always say, those Asians (Indians in particular) have got no chill. Average waiting period? No current trend for 55 pointers. I submitted my EOI for 190 NSW last October and even forgot about it until the news of my occupation no longer eligible for state nomination. That's 6 months already I'd say. Depending on your occupation, your chances become significant from 65 points up. There are a lot of candidates (Indians) with 65 and 70 independent skilled points yet to receive NSW nomination. I've concluded that even if you tell them to present 100 points, they would gather it somehow. Mind blowing! You'd think they don't need state nomination with such high points, but they're forced to go through that pathway due to pro rata and exhausted ceilings. Immitracker can give you an insight. Accounting, IT and software professionals fall in this category. Finally, it's a good move to submit the EOI and start the count. You may even be lucky come July when the system resets. But don't relent in your efforts to improve your score via English as that's by far the easiest, fastest and surest route. Alphadoor: 1 Like |

Hi Alphadoor, I think Catchdwimd4rmkd has said it all but I just want to share mine with you. Occupation is Welfare centre Manager with 55 points and 2.8 relevant years of experience. I received invite in 5 working days, 7 days (Saturday and Sunday inclusive) however, it's 15 days already and I am still waiting for approval. So I guess different occupations have different timelines. I hope this helps. 1 Like |

Good one. I've seen only a few similar cases which were mainly construction managers with 55points and 8+yrs experience. Yours is unique; 2.8yrs. There's no need to worry. 15days waiting for approval is not unusual. You'd receive approval in due course. Best wishes. Yeeshas: |

Alphadoor: I submitted 190 EOI on 18/02/2017 (60pts including 5pts from NSW nomination). I was queued until I canceled it on 15/03/2015 after receiving 189 ITA (65pt, DOE 3/3/2017). Hope that helps. |

moscow30: Sorry but I dont know how you got state nomination if you are yet to submit EOI? Also you cannot submit an EOI without an English test result. But if you submit an EOI with a not-so-good english test result, you could always write another english test and update your existing EOI. |
